FYLY Exclusive Yachts is thinking BLUE for our oceans! HELMEPA - Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association FYLY Exclusive Yachts is proud to be a member of HELMEPA Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association. Founded in 1982, this is a group of Greek seafarers and ship owners to ‘Save the Seas’ from ship-generated pollution. Eco Friendly Cleaning Products Our luxury yachts are cleaned and polished to perfection. For this, we choose non-toxic products whenever possible to mitigate polluting the water and harming the environment. Natural, ecofriendly cleaning products are our choice to protect the ocean. Recycling While we strive to reduce the amount of waste produced, we look to recycle items such as aluminium, glass, and plastic wherever possible. We follow governmental policies to appropriately dispose of garbage, recycling, oil, antifreeze, engine oil, and black water waste.

Maintenance of Our Fleet Our luxury yachts are maintained to exceptional standards. While many of our yachts are new 2020 and 2021 models, all of our yachts undergo constant inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, and refits. With proper maintenance and care, we minimize the potential for spills, premature replacement, and disposal of parts. Energy Efficiency We work to minimize our energy use by selecting LED bulbs for our onboard lighting. To further promote energy efficiency, we are investing in solar and/or wind generators to provide power to charge batteries rather than using the engines or generators for onboard energy needs. Water Filtration Systems In an effort to decrease single-use plastics, FYLY Exclusive Yachts is working with our yacht owners to encourage them to invest in onboard water filtration systems. Congratulations S/Y Kimata! We are happy to announce that Kimata, our gorgeous Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 sailing catamaran, is the first to utilize most of the above mentioned requirements. As well, with a Sparkle Water Filtration system and still water-maker, they are able to reduce the use of plastic bottles onboard. Kimata operates on solar panels with new lithium batteries that can provide power to all electrical systems including the refrigerator/freezer, lighting, and the air conditioner without needing to run the generator. A great system to reduce carbon emissions and allow for a peaceful night.

FYLY Exclusive Yachts is proud to announce a new project in partnership with Nomad Yachting!

e are offering Island Transfers, Daily Excursions, MultiDay Charters, and Chase Boat Services on high speed boats. Axopar, Rafnar, and Ribco high speed boats are now available from Lavrio along with ports in the Cyclades and the Ionian. The boats are new, less than 2 years old, and are chartered with a captainthey can accommodate up to 12 passengers (depending on the boat). Tailor make your own itinerary or allow our experienced and knowledgeable captains to suggest the best itinerary for your group. All daily excursions include a SUP, snorkelling gear, beach towels, hot water for showers and toiletries, soft drinks, water, a bottle of Rosé wine, and a platter of cheese and cold cuts. Each boat is equipped with full bathroom facilities and

Being a captain is similar to driving the most expensive car in the world. Even better, plus all these beautiful destinations around the world you get to see, also the friendship you built amongst other sailors, is forever. Destinations that a visitor should not miss are: Hydra, Spetses, Syros, Sifnos, Amorgos, Koufonisia, Patmos, Symi, Halki, Tiganakia of Arkioi, Kefalonia, Ithaka, Antipaxoi, to be honest the list is quite bigger! There is not a destination that visitors should avoid in Greece. Of course there are stressful situations onboard but usually they are made mostly from bad weather. Or an accident on board. Quick decisions with a clear mind will always take you out of troubles. Always be a step ahead before anything. Hard to decide which is my favorite itinerary for someone that is visiting Greece for the first time but I would say Poros, Spetses, Kythnos, Syros,, Rhinia, Paros,Antiparos, Milos, Ios, Polyegos, Sifnos. Dodecanese are my favourite places more than anything though. So many beautiful places and the people there can make you feel like home. Successful captain you feel when people leave this country with the best memories then I feel successful. Always try to give your best for them.

Artemis Cpt. of S/Y Namaste My best part as being a captain is the management of this whole microcosm that includes a yacht and the majesty of the Sea! Greece has hundreds of beautiful islands and consequently destinations that when someone asks me which is the most beautiful, as if they

were my children, I can not single out one. I could say that I am a great fan of the Cycladic Islands. I would advise visitors to avoid the busy destinations, especially in August. There have been several difficult times onboard and some of them very difficult, but when you are well prepared onboard, and the crew have always provided a quick and safe solution. For the first time in Greece, I would suggest routes without waves and strong winds, such as the Saronic Gulf or the Ionian Islands. Predicting and managing potentially difficult situations that may occur, my love of the sea and my professionalism make me a successful captain.

My favorite part as being a captain are mainly two: The first, meeting people from all over the world. People with different culture, religion and mentality. To observe and talk with them helps me to educate myself. Most of our clients are very successful and wise people and I can learn a lot from them. I have met some very impressive people who influenced me to change something in myself. The second one, seeing my clients fully satisfied at the end of the charter especially

when we have had heavy weather conditions. Some of them are dreaming of this one week vacation all year, sometimes more, and when they come we have to do everything to make them fully satisfied even if the weather is very bad. This is the biggest challenge for me. There are so many Greek destinations that people should visit, all around Greece. All groups of islands have their own beauty with different nature. That’s why Greece, in my opinion, is the best place for chartering in the Mediterranean. There isn’t a destination that visitors should avoid. There are clients for each destination. I face stressful situations on board especially when during the charter appears some serious technical problem and I am trying to solve it without the clients to understand and this to disturb their vacation. I don’t have a favorite itinerary, there are many. All depends on the weather conditions and the region in which you are going to sail as well as your preferences. In my professional practice I am always trying to avoid something like “routine trip” during the charters. This can make me bored. I am always trying to improve myself and the team’s work. “Running on one place equalizes the possibilities” - this is my life and professional motto. The rest is only hard work with huge passion, patience and consistency. This is the key to any success.

Toby, Cpt. of S/Y Aether Being on the water everyday means we spend time in some of the most beautiful spots in the world … But it is the people that we meet that makes the trips special and unforgettable. Some of the best hidden gems in Greece are found in the small Cyclades (the small island group underneath Naxos). Koufonisi is some kind of heaven, think turquoise sea, perfect beaches, great restaurants, sea caves, small beach bars . A Greek island that a visitor could avoid is Mykonos, I am sure it is a fun place to visit from the land, however for July and August from the boat it is not ideal as it is very windy and the clubs and bars are very noisy! Unless you are a party animal. To someone who is planning to visit Greece for the first time i would suggest doing a loop down the western Cyclades and the up the central group is a great way to hit the best spots If the weather allows … it would look something like Kynthos, Serifos, Sifnos Milos/ Kimolos/ Poliagos, Antiparos, Paros. I would say that I am a successful captain because of my understanding girlfriend… but seriously having a crew onboard who are professional and hard working makes being a captain a pleasure.

The captain is making people’s dreams a reality during every trip they book with us. There are many destinations that I would consider as a “must go” but that always depends on the desires of the guests, the area that the trip takes place and last but not least the weather at the specific time the trip is taking place. That means that not all the places are ideal for everyone and while a destination might be amazing when there is no wind it could be the worst choice if the wind is blowing hard. The destinations I believe a visitor should avoid while on a trip with a yacht is Santorini. My choice is based on the density of tourists during the summer period, the lack of a proper marina as well as that Santorini is the most southern island of the Cyclades which makes things really difficult when planning to reach the island with a sailing yacht especially when it’s really windy. The most stressful situation I have faced onboard was when

guests couldn’t agree about anything on the boat. Meaning destinations, sharing of cabins and food choices which had as a result a big argument onboard before the trip had even started. I have many itineraries that I love following but again that depends on the weather at the specific time and the port of departure which makes all the difference. A recommended itinerary for someone that visits Greece for first time and especially if they are having vacations for the first time with a sailing yacht is the islands of Saronic gulf in combination with the coastline of Peloponnese. I believe that what makes me a successful captain is my tranquility on the boat during crisis periods (either weather based, boat problems, or guests problems) as well as my flexibility when it comes to itineraries and day to day schedules trying to fulfill our guests’ desires.

Hydra: Miaouelia , June

Syros: International Film Festival (SIFF), July This film festival takes place every year in July. It contains Greek and International movies and the screening is in different locations of the island.

Miaoulia are the largest events of the island, dedicated to the Admiral Andreas Miaoulis, held each year approximately at the last week of June, to mark the burning of the Ottoman fleet from Hydrian sailors during the Greek War of Independence. The celebration lasts one week. It usually takes place in the last week of June on a yearly basis. In “Miaoulia” unless part of the ritual, including exhibitions, lectures, musical events, theatrical performances, games, folk dances, torch, boating and sports games. The festivities end with the burning of fireworks, and the enactment of the Battle of Gerontas and the burning of the Ottoman flagship, the final day of events.

Ionian The Ionian island chain is located on the western side of Greece, this group of Islands is incredibly popular, second only to the Cyclades. Catamaran Aloia is simply a wonderful ship. It was modern, well appointed, and super comfortable. Aloia is a brand spanking new luxury catamaran and perfect for the 8 of us. She is well maintained, everything worked well. This was really nice ship to spend sever day on. This captain and crew team know how to maintain a perfect ship 24/7. Captain Vlad was the best captain I have experienced. He was so gracious in his approach, so easy to talk to, super accommodating, funny, and helped to make our experience simply over the top. Vonna and Palos (chef) made the entire experience so wonderful. They became part of our group when appropriate, and allowed to be our own group when

appropriate. If we could, we would go back and request Captain Vlad and this crew for a different cruise in the Mediterranean. Just to reiterate, the crews performance: Perfect in all respects! Palos’s chef skills are phenomenal. He was extremely accommodating to dietary needs and every meal was magnificent. Having a fun enjoyable crew makes our charter fun for us as well: This crew were super fun, very accommodating to all requests. He had great suggestions and was extremely amicable to any and all requests. They were a great crew, made everybody feel super comfortable, including all of the first time sailors. They answered any and all questions, and quickly became in tune with the entire party and were able to anticipate needs or wants before we had to ask. Wonderful people! Meals: Palos is a fantastic chef. His meals were so tasty and good. He accommodated all requests, and pivoted when and if needed. He was great to interact with, where did you find this man Andrew??.
