KIM & KANYE REUNITE – FOR A PITY PARTY!

Love reject Kim Kardashian and her ex Kanye West are at rock bottom right now and wallowing in misery after being hung out to dry in the romance department, sources tell The National ENQUIRER.

Billionaire bizarro Kanye, 45, is still crying the blues after Kim, 41, kicked him to the curb with a divorce last year. She’s licking her wounds after being dumped by former SNL comic Pete Davidson, 28, following a nine-month romance.

While Kanye and Kim have been duking it out over money and custody ar rangements for their four young kids, they’ve also recently started mak ing nice, triggering the rapper’s hopes for a

“He’s eating badly and taking bad care of himself in general,” spills a mole. “Kim’s been checking up on Kanye and sending the kids over with care packages, which he really appreciates.

“But it’s no substitute for what he really wants — a reunion with the love of his life, which she won’t give him.”

At the same time, he’s given the rejected beauty a shoulder to lean on.

“She’s opening up about being lonely and lost right now plus overwhelmed with her career,” notes the source.

MARTHA’S ON PROWL FOR A VINTAGE GENT!

Martha was flattered by chatter she was hooking up with Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian’s former boytoy

Lonely Martha Stewart was beyond flattered by buzz she was hooking up with Kim Kardashian’s boytoy Pete Davidson — but in real life the 81-year-old lifestyle guru is prowling for a hunk around her age, tipsters tattle.

“Martha and Pete are good friends, but she isn’t one to rob the cradle,” a friend tells The National ENQUIRER. “She hopes to find a man in his 60s or 70s, who’s successful and comfortable in his own skin who will romance her and give her the companionship she desperately

wants.”

Still, the search hasn’t been easy, partly due to past, heart breaking disasters, friends say.

The pair got engaged, but in 2008, Simonyi broke things off and weeks later, ran away and married Swedish model Lisa Persdotter, who was 40 years Martha’s junior!

“Martha was incredibly scarred by what she felt was like a betrayal,” a friend says.

“To this day, she’s wary of falling in love with a man and then having

The domestic diva’s been on plenty of dates since Charles dumped her, but nothing has really clicked.

She admitted in a July in terview she’s had “two mad crushes” recently, but in both cases, the man of her dreams was wed to a gal in her social circle and she wasn’t about to break up a marriage.

I’m In Love Again!

The former morning show host is enjoying life — and a happy romance

For many years, no topic was offlimits for Kathie Lee Gifford. The morning TV host eagerly shared private details of her marriage, her children’s lives or anything else that popped into her head with viewers on Today With Regis and Kathie Lee. Now, that has all changed.

An older, wiser Kathie Lee has declared that her love life is off-limits. “I’m in a real ly special relationship with somebody that is nice and fun and healthy,” she confides. “I’ve discovered that by not talking about it, it stays special.”

Longtime fans and friends are delight ed for Kathie Lee, 69, who lost her husband of 30 years, football great Frank Gifford, in 2015. The longtime TV personality made a difficult decision to leave her job and fami ly home in Greenwich, Conn., and move to Nashville in 2019. “Here’s the bad news — I’m a widow, an orphan and an empty nest er,” Kathie Lee says.

“The good news is, I have the freedom of a widow, an orphan and an empty nester.”

Kathie Lee’s big gamble has paid off. She’s successfully pursued personal passions

SWEET DAYS

Daughter Cassidy, a model and actress, was married in 2020; son Cody became a firsttime parent in May. He and wife Erika named the baby after his late father, Frank Gifford.

“He’s a private person. Kathie Lee doesn’t want people prying and making it uncomfortable for Randy or his family,” explains a friend.

“Every moment is a gift,” gushes Kathie Lee about spending time with her new grandson.

, a film in theaters now that she wrote, directed and narrates. She’s also made a new circle of friends. “Her life to day is simple and laid-back,” says a pal. “She does what she wants and when she wants. That’s how she likes it.”

Of course, there have been compromises. Leaving the East Coast means seeing less of her children. Her son, Cody, and his wife, Erika, who moved into Kathie Lee’s Green wich home, became parents to baby Frank on May 31. “It’s just beautiful,” says Kath ie Lee, who will be “Bubbe” to the child. “I FaceTime with him every day, and he’s just a wonderment.” But being so far away “is her biggest regret,” admits the friend. “That’s how the world is today. No one lives close by anymore. She’s grateful that she can visit and they can come see her any time. Everyone’s doors are always open.”

In 2019, Kathie Lee began quietly dating

Randy Cronk, a Tennessee native approx imately 10 years her junior, whom she met through mutual friends. “She was never ac tively looking for love, but she’s glad she found him,” says the friend. “He’s a good man, family-oriented, religious and into football, which of course she loves because of Frank. The reason she’s not naming him is because it’s serious. She doesn’t want to jinx it.”

Wedding bells may never ring because “that’s not on Kathie Lee’s vision board,” says the friend, who adds that the pair are very compatible. “They love listening to music, watching TV and movies, going to church, visiting friends and family, dancing and football.”

Kathie Lee admits she’s finally arrived at a good place. “I’m in a very beautiful season of my life, and I could not be more grateful for it,” she says. “I feel settled.”

PLAYBOY MANSION

HELL!

HOUSE HORRORSOF

Hef’s bedroom was “justa disaster,” says Bridget.

More than a decade after The Girls Next Door went off the air, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt are revisiting their contro versial time at the Play boy Mansion. The former girlfriends of the late Hugh Hefner are rewatching the E! show for their new podcast, Girls Next Level. “The first three [episodes] were kind of traumat ic,” Holly admits. “I looked at myself and thought, ‘She’s a f---ing zombie.’”

Holly, who moved into the mansion in 2001 and was known as “Hef’s No. 1 girl friend,” and Bridget, who joined her a year later, claim life in his inner circle involved drunken, drug-fueled orgies, hoarding and a cultlike atmosphere.

“We were all kind of gaslit and expected

to think of Hef as this really good guy,” says Holly, 42. But, instead, the Playboy founder — who died in 2017 at age 91 — left her “feeling so gross and used.”

Hef’s idea of a first date? An orgy. Both women say they were given alcohol and offered Quaaludes (which Hef called “thigh openers”) before being encouraged to participate in group sex on night one. Bridget, 48, recalls seeing vibrators all over the bed and “trying to get it done as quickly as possible.” Hef insisted on being called Daddy in bed, “which is so gross,” says Holly. She describes him as “a bump on a log. Sorry to burst the bubble, but none of us was into it. We thought of [sex] as a chore.”

No one used protection. “You’re hoping everybody is checked out,” says Bridget. “I just wanted to be first and be done.

I felt like that was the cleanest way.” (Twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, who appeared as Hef’s girlfriends for Season 6 of the reality show, have since claimed they contracted chlamydia while there.) “I was shocked at how messy it was,” Bridget says of Hef’s bedroom. Holly considered him a hoarder. They felt trapped. Along with strict orders to be by Hef’s side unless “you were on death’s door,” says Bridget, the women had a strict 9 p.m. curfew and weren’t given much time to see family or friends or have a job. “It was so easy to get isolated from the outside world there,” Holly, who battled debilitating depres sion, wrote in her memoir. “Everyone thinks that the infamous metal gate was meant to keep people out. But I grew to feel it was meant to lock me in.”

COMES CLEAN

THE TV HOST SHARES HER LIFE’S UPS AND DOWNS IN A NEW BOOK

Lying poolside with hubby Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa relaxed beneath a wide-brimmed hat on a recent weekend in New York’s tony Hamptons. It’s moments like this — despite her success on TV’s Live With Kelly and Ryan — that make Kelly feel deeply content. “Kelly and Mark have not only got ten stronger as a couple over the years, they’ve also discovered that magic for mula that keeps them interested in each other,” a pal tells Closer. “She says it’s because they truly are best friends.”

Kelly’s viewers also look to her as a friend. And one of the things they love most is her willingness to share both her strengths and weaknesses. “The biggest responses I get on social media are when I post about something deeply screwed up,” Kelly admits. “People don’t care about your amazing vacation. When I broke my foot, people were like, ‘I love that because it’s relatable.’ ” Now Kelly, 51, is revealing even more in a new memoir, Live Wire: Long-Wind ed Short Stories, arriving Sept. 27. In it, she delves into her life, from her tight family bonds to her surprising discom fort with her public persona. “Every thing I’ve learned in life has come after a failure and sometimes public em barrassment,” she admits. “But each experience taught me something valu able: I won’t make that mistake again!” One vow she’s made is to always put her family first. Mother to Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 19, Kelly began keeping a diary while pregnant with her eldest. “The late, great Anne Meara

gave me my first journal,” she says. “I’ve always kept notes as a memory book.”

Most of her memories are good. Raised in New Jersey, she enjoys a warm rela tionship with her parents, Esther and Jo seph. This summer, she included her dad on her ABC game show Generation Gap.

“I had a picture-perfect childhood,” Kel ly gushes. “My parents were like June and Ward Cleaver; there was nothing dys functional about them.” She and Mark, who have been wed for 26 years, strive to follow their example. “I’m crazy about her,” Mark’s raved, while Kelly adds, “All Mark has to do is look at me [and I] feel so special.” They have a lot in common, too. Despite their public jobs, both are intro verts who prefer quiet time. “Some times I have to go on television and put on a happy face and smile, even when I don’t want to, because that’s my job,” she explains.

Kelly’s learned to balance her emo tional ups and downs by listening to Vivaldi “when I need motivation,” or by working out to release stress.

“Eighty percent of the time, I’m pret ty healthy. Twenty percent of the time, I’m a hot mess,” she says. The star also struggles against her impulse to be “su per controlling,” notes the friend. “And she knows she sometimes talks too much, but she’s gotten better on both fronts.”

Still, her fans love that Kelly allows glimpses beneath her sunny persona. “Her life isn’t perfect,” the friend says, “but she counts her blessings daily.” Ad mits Kelly: “Like Dory in Finding Nemo I’m like, ‘Well, that didn’t kill me, so I guess I’ll keep swimming.’ ”

KELLY AIMS TO GIVE A FRESH GLIMPSE INTO HER LIFE WITH HER FIRST MEMOIR.

Kelly and Ryan Seacrest have been co-hosting their morning show together since 2017.

10 FOR YOU THE POWER
OPTIMISM NEW HARVARD RESEARCH CONFIRMS THAT LOOKING ON THE BRIGHT SIDE LEADS TO A LONGER, MORE BLISSFUL LIFE. HERE, EASY WAYS TO SHIFT YOUR THINKING

FEELING BLUE? SALLY UP & SAVOR SMALL WINS

It’s been a long year, and your mood has been chronically cloudy. “Pessimism is the belief that bad things are bound to happen, but it’s not your fault you feel this way,” assures Laura Heft, Ph.D., founder of GrowOptimism, LLC. “I was a pessimist for years, but optimism is simply making positive thinking a habit.”

The road to optimism starts with small steps, or small joys. “We build confidence and change our expecta tions for the future with tiny, frequent wins,” says Heft. Whether you planted pretty mums in a container to brighten your front steps or you checked off a task on your to-do list, don’t just brush these small accomplishments aside, acknowledge them. While pessimists tend to believe their fate is out of their control, optimists think that with hard work, the future is largely in their hands. Says Heft, “Optimism isn’t something we need to be born with—it’s a perspec tive we can foster simply by tallying the small daily progress that adds up to big, positive change.”

After moving to a new town, you miss your old friends and are certain you’ll always feel isolated. One of the key differences between pessimists and optimists is that the former see challenges as permanent, while the latter view them as fleeting, reveals Heft. “Like all emotions, loneliness is temporary, and we can feel better.”

When you feel bereft of connection, expand your world by tapping your big heart. “Giving back is proven to lift our spirits and make us feel more hopeful,” says Heft. Helping others not only lets us forge new bonds, it also boosts optimism by strengthening our sense of purpose. In one recent study, widows ages 51 and older who volunteered just 2 hours a week saw their loneliness decrease significantly. No time to volunteer? No problem. Even “micro giving,” from buying someone a latte to paying a stranger a compliment, strengthens ties and leads to a longer, more joyful life.

LONELY? GIVE OF YOUR GENEROUS HEART REELING FROM SELF BLAME? FIND HOPE &

With everything you handle, from family obligations to work responsibilities, it’s safe to say you’re a modern-day Atlas holding up the world on your shoulders. Yet noth ing ever seems good enough and you often blame yourself when something goes awry. While pessimists tend to believe setbacks are their fault, optimists are more likely to blame external factors like the situation itself, reveals Heft. She says shifting to a more positive mindset means adopting a broader perspective.

If you’re overwhelmed and focused on your perceived faults,

CATASTROPHIZING? PICTURE YOUR BEST SELF

Amid rumors of a leadership change at work, you start prepping your résumé… but doubts soon creep in. What if I never get a new job? you worry. “Research shows when bad things happen, men tend to act, while women ruminate or rehash events in their head, compounding nega tive thoughts,” reveals Sanderson. “These fears are not accurate, but they feel real, increasing stress and pessimism.”

Instead of envisioning the worst future, picture your best possible self. “This simple intervention is shown to boost optimism, and it has the biggest benefits when we identify specific goals,” reveals Dr. Koga. Just close your eyes and pic ture yourself five to 10 years from now, happy and achieving your dreams. Then describe the details: How did you get there? What small steps did you take? The more vivid your visualization, the more likely you are to create an action plan, adds Sanderson. “Picture how you will feel when you succeed at your goal— it’s extraordinarily effective at increasing motivation and optimism.”

IN NATURE

step back a moment and step out. “Being in nature is among the most emotionally beneficial things we can do, increasing optimism and decreasing anxiety,” says Sanderson. Indeed, the great outdoors helps us feel smaller in comparison and more connected to a larger world. No wonder when we’re transport ed by the natural beauty around us, we not only become more hopeful about humanity but we also grow kinder to ourselves, trading pessimistic self-blame for optimistic self-love. In the end, the true definition of optimism is having faith in ourselves and hope in the world around us.

High praise: “The queen knows that as long as Kate’s around, the family’s in good hands,” says a source.

Kate Middleton DIVINE DUCHESS

THE CHALLENGES OF BEING

A ROYAL AND A MOTHER OF THREE WOULD WILT IN THE FACE OF INFIDELITY RUMORS. BUT IT’S ALL IN A DAY’S WORK FOR KATE

Kate Middleton is showing her true colors, and they’re fabulous. She and William, in one of their first appearances as a family since Louis’ birth 14 months ago, looked relaxed in parenting mode at Trooping the Colour, the queen’s annual birthday parade. As they waved from the balcony with their three little ones, Kate noticed baby Louis sucking his thumb and gently intervened before returning her attention to the lively procession.

It was a sweet moment, and palace insiders tell us that these days, it’s completely in character for the Duchess of Cambridge, who balances motherhood, marriage and royal engagements with ease and grace.

Behind the scenes, however, sources say it’s not quite as easy as it looks. “Kate still finds these huge public events over whelming,” a palace insider confides. “She’s always been naturally shy — truth be told, she envies sister-in-law Meghan’s ease in front of crowds — but she impresses everyone with her ability to paste a huge smile on her face. She knows she has a responsibility to be front and center, given that one day these events will be in honor of her husband. It’s something she’ll have to work at for the rest of her life.”

Luckily, the duchess, 37, is no stranger to hard work, and has always impressed the palace with her self-discipline, says the insider. “Every morning Kate gets up with the sunrise to jog around Kensington Pal ace, or heads over to Buckingham Palace to

swim before the children wake. She finds exercise crucial to her mental well-being.” It’s miraculous to contemplate when you think about all her other responsibilities: “She works extremely hard behind the scenes. Most days she takes meetings with her charities at Kensington Palace or makes private visits to people in need, usu ally children. In the evening, she cooks for her family or at least sits down with them for dinner.”

The source says Kate prioritizes rou tine for the kids and has delighted in seeing their personalities bloom: “George marches to his own drum and has an incredible imagination. Princess Charlotte is an absolute treasure — she’s so confident and strong willed, and Kate’s encouraging of that. And little Louis is the apple of her eye. He’s walking now and is into everything. He’s a very curious child.”

Kate pours herself into being a hands-on mom, but the insider says she and Wil liam, 37, have also been focusing on more one-on-one time since rumors began circulating a few months ago that William had had an affair with Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley. “The affair rumors turned out to be a good thing for them in the end,” a Middleton family friend confesses. “Kate finds the rumors hurtful, obviously, and hates the thought that one day her children will be able to read about them online. But it forced her and William to sit back and examine their relationship, which they realized they should have been doing more often. They’d let their romantic connection cool a little in recent years,

but they’ve learned that nothing should replace regular quality time together.”

These days, the source says, the couple’s ideal date night is simple: “Kate loves noth ing more than ordering Indian takeaway and eating it from a dinner tray on the couch while watching a bit of Netflix with William. They used to catch up on Game of Thrones together every couple of weeks, and most recently they binged Bodyguard.”

Netflix binge sessions aside, the source says that when Kate is feeling over whelmed, she “follows the time-honored royal family protocol ‘keep calm and carry on,’ and will never show any sign that she’s hurting.” But the source adds that Kate has also learned to delegate. “She’s not afraid to ask for help, especially where the kids are concerned. Her mom, Carole, is always her first call if she needs a break.”

Dubbed the ‘Big Mac’ salad, it features all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese…you get the yummy idea. Keto bloggers, Paleo dieters, even Weight Watchers have versions. But who’s burning fat fastest? We’re pretty sure it’s fans of EatLikeABear.com, most of whom are women over age 50. “If there’s one thing McDonald’s knows, it’s how to tempt our taste buds,” says site creator Amanda Rose, Ph.D., down 140 pounds herself. Rose, 53, tried Big Mac ingredients as she got bored of same-old salads; her followers soon embraced the idea. They eat thousands of Big Mac salads a day—all while reversing age-related diseases and shedding up to 30 pounds in two weeks. Says Rose: “We’re using McDonald’s flavor expertise to meet our health goals!”

The gist of how Rose and her Bears use the Big Mac salad to transform: They eat just one huge meal a day and then ‘hibernate’ the rest of the time, allow ing their bodies to live off stored fat.

To maximize fat loss and hunger control, they stick to low-carb fare.

When Bobbi Rongstad heard about “eating like a bear,” she was out of shape and struggling to keep up with friends, family and her garden. “I didn’t want to sit in a chair the rest of my life,” says the Wisconsin grandmother. So she tried a free three-day challenge, stumbling on the recipe for Big Mac salad. To her surprise, “it felt like an indulgence, not diet food.” It also staved off hunger for a long time. Pounds flew off. In mere weeks, she was under 200 pounds for the first time in decades. Soon, her prediabetes and high cholesterol disappeared. Now down 70 pounds, Bobbi still alternates between the trendy salad and other low-carb meals. “It took a long time to find a way of eating that feels sustainable. I’m so glad I kept trying!”

Fast-food flavor, big

For maximum weight loss, enjoy this trendy salad the Eat Like a Bear way. To start, choose a daily “eating window” during which you’ll have your salad and any other natural, low-carb fare you like. Most Bears have a single hour-long meal that’s packed with nutrients and at least 1,200 calories. (But you can begin with a longer window.) Learn more at

cure for over-50 fat

Why does it work so well? Well, even a jumbo 1,500-calorie meal has less fuel than most of us burn off. On top of that, the tech nique—which scientists call “time-restricted eating”—triggers biochemical changes that speed away inflammation, flush pounds of water weight and allow for intense healing.

Another big key is that both frequent sit tings and high-carb foods spur the production of insulin, “the main hormone responsible for all weight gain,” notes mega-selling Obesity Code author Jason Fung, M.D. Not only does excess insulin drive intense urges to eat but “when insulin is high, we only store fat, we don’t burn it.” As you reduce carbs and meal frequency, insulin goes down “and weight goes down automatically.”

And Big Mac toppings have bonus advantages…

MAGIC FIXIN’S Rose was carrying 280 pounds when she heard buzz about eating one meal a day and set out to try it. As her body adjusted, she experimented. “I decided to have a ridiculously big salad as my meal each day, and one key was figuring out how to make it extremely satisfying,” she shares. Big Mac flavors ended up being a very good idea. Here’s why:

BIG MAC VEGGIES

100 calories,” says Rose. Plus, one head—the amount used in Rose’s typical salad—has half the calories of top-selling energy bars and (surprise!) more protein and exponentially more metabolism-revving nutrients like fiber and vitamin C.

PICKLES BOOST BURN EVEN MORE

They’re made with vinegar, a great source of acetic acid, which kills appetite and revs fat burn by up to 400%, per Japanese research.

PROTEIN WITH A KICK Beef is an amaz ing source of CLA, a fatty acid linked to 600% faster weight loss. It “speeds the breakdown of stored fatty acids so they can be used to build new muscle tissue,” notes Ronald Klatz, M.D., of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. We end up instantly burning fat to make muscle, which not only makes us firmer but also raises metabolism permanently.

ANTI-HUNGER DRESSING Yes, full-fat dressing is a high-calorie food. But unlike lowcal carbs that drive hunger, “the calories from a rich dressing help us feel satisfied and bring the meal to an end,” says Rose. Studies back her up, showing full-fat options turn off hun ger sooner and for about 4 hours longer than a low-fat alternative. “The dressing tastes good. And it would be difficult to overstate how delicious this Big Mac–style salad is. That’s another reason it’s so satisfying.”

told Marilee Evans her liver was so clogged with fat, it had begun to fail. “Weight loss was the only treatment,” recalls the Utah school secretary, 52. She didn’t want gastric bypass, but couldn’t seem to break her daily drivethru habit. Marilee’s sister Debie suggested Eat Like a Bear’s approach. “I said, ‘Oh, heck no. I’m not eating only salad,’” Marilee admits. So Debie bought ingredients and cooked for her. “That’s how I had my first Big Mac salad.”

Marilee’s reaction? “For years, fast food was my comfort food. This version is still very comforting.” And it’s so satisfying, it helped her adapt to eating one meal a day. By month’s end, she was down 27 pounds.

Continuing her journey, Marilee added in hot low-carb meals—usually at midday at work—but also tucked into Big Mac salad regularly. “Sometimes I’d even pack dress ing in a jar, get a bunless double cheese burger and salad from a burger joint and make a Big Mac salad on the fly!”

Can Marilee stick with this lifestyle longterm? “Oh, yes,” she says. At night, “I sip tea and keep busy with sewing and projects. It’s a new routine and not a struggle at all.” Her liver tests are normal now. And she’s down from a size 24 to an 8. “I am healthier than I’ve ever been.” She urges everyone: “Start with one salad and see what it can do for you!”

You won’t believe how delicious and filling this quick-make meal is…

You can put thousands of dollars in your pocket, stretch your paycheck and be richer in a year’s time — by following these 25 penny-pinching tips!

1 Avoid using your credit card for small purchases. Pay in cash!

2 Prepare your own tax return. Take an inexpensive or free class at a local community college.

3 Don’t throw out those unused ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper or other condiment packages from ordering out. Keep them to use at home!

4 Pack your lunch for work. Eating out adds up!

5 Clip coupons! You’ll be surprised by how much you save at the grocery.

6 And don’t go to the supermarket hungry! Fill up before you shop, so you’re not tempted to buy more than what you need.

7 When checking out at any store, always watch the cash register for mistakes. And don’t forget to carefully check your receipt!

8 Watch for the expiration date stamped on dairy products. Items with the latest dates stay fresher longer, so you’ll waste less.

9 Buy cosmetics at a chain drugstore or supermarket instead of a department store.

10 Try to hit restaurants during “early bird” or “happy hour” specials!

11 Don’t run your dishwasher half full. It

uses up to 17 gallons per run, plus the cost of heating the water. Also try washing by hand! Grab a friend to help and make the time speed by.

12 Ask your doctor for samples of the medications he wants you to use.

13 You can buy vitamins much cheaper from a mail-order catalog.

14 Instead of making a costly doctor’s office visit, try speaking to your

physician on the phone. Often you’ll get the advice you need — for free!

WORLD’S FIRST PRINTED 3D EAR TRANSPLANT

Hear this! A New York City–based biotech company claims it has created the world’s first printed 3-D body part built using a pa tient’s own cells and the aston ishingly natural-looking ear was suc cessfully transplanted by doctors!

Experts explain the surgery — which repaired a 20-year-old woman’s right ear that had been misshapen since birth — was part of a clinical trial to test the revolutionary tissue-engineering tech nology.

According to 3DBio Therapeutics, the patient’s new ear was printed in under ten minutes and replicated the look of her healthy left ear. The company claims the transplant will continue to regener ate cartilage and feel like a normal ear.

ROBOTS ARE SAFER SURGEONS!

✚ Robot-assisted operations led to quicker recovery times for patients and better immediate outcomes than traditional open-incision techniques, according to a new study.

The implant was created using the 20-year-old patient’s own cells

They expect the manmade tissue won’t be rejected by the patient’s immune sys tem since it contains her own cells.

3DBio has yet to fully disclose the technical details of the process. But they promise to publish their data in a medi cal journal upon completion of the full trial, which will follow 11 patients for five years.

While other medical professionals have utilized 3-D printing to create custom-fit prosthetics, the ear implant is the first of its kind to use harvested live cells.

The patient’s chondrocytes — cells responsible for cartilage formation — were isolated from a tissue sample and grown in a slurry of nutrients. Nathaniel Bachrach, 3DBio’s chief scientific of ficer, explains the cells were then mixed with the company’s collagen-based bio-ink “like chocolate chips mixed into cookie dough ice cream” to fashion the ear.

The firm hopes with more research, parts such as spinal discs, noses and reconstructive tissue for lumpectomies could be developed.

The scientists claim robotic surgeries helped lessen the length of hospital stays and allowed folks to more easily return to everyday life.

Researchers from Denmark’s University of Copenhagen put 56 doughy dudes on an 800-calories-a-day diet for two months and say those who lost at least eight pounds saw their number of swimmers increase by 41 percent.

byopia or the hardening of the zones around the lens.”

Researchers say during clinical trials with 750 presbyopia patients aged 40 to 55, Vuity helped people read an average of three extra lines on an optometrist’s vision chart in low light.

California-based ophthalmologist Dr. Dagny Zhu adds, “Patients may be able to see well enough to read on their laptops or text mes sages on their cellphones without having to rely on their reading glasses as often.”

But Zhu cautions, “The response will vary from person to person.”

In fact, experts warn Vuity, which costs about $80 for a 30-day supply, may not be as effective in patients older than 55.

PREGNANT POT SMOKERS’ BABY RISK

A team at Boston University School of Medicine found guys who let life weigh them down also packed on the pounds during middle age — and increased their odds of developing heart disease and suffering strokes. Study author Lewina Lee says persistent stress can repeatedly raise the heart rate and blood pressure, and flood the body with stress hormone, triggering chronic disease-related inflammation.

✚ Pregnant pot smokers double their risk of having an underweight newborn — increasing the child’s odds of experiencing serious health complications, warns a new study.

After analyzing data from nearly 60,000 women, scientists from Arizona’s Marchand Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery say expectant mothers who used marijuana also had a 28 percent increase in premature births over gals who don’t consume cannabis. Study author Dr. Greg Marchand explains, “Educating patients about these adverse outcomes may help to improve neonatal health.”

grow or you’re just like last night’s cornbread — stale and dry.”

Country legend Loretta Lynn turns 90 on April 14, and although she’s been counted down and out dozens of times in her life, the star is stron ger than ever and intends to stick around for another ten years —at least!

The songstress has survived poverty, loneliness, tragedy and loss — but she doesn’t waste time feeling sorry for herself.

“She’s been through so much, but her attitude is if it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger,” spills an in sider. “She may be pushing 90, but she stays young at heart by keeping busy, tak ing care of the ranch and giving to the folks in town. A positive outlook and strong dose of humor keep Loretta ticking.”

The insider says Loretta doesn’t let some aches and pains of aging get her down. She can still saddle a horse, and it gives her great pleasure to ride around the ranch and smell the fresh air.

“I love people and I love to sing, that’s what keeps me going,” re veals Loretta, who’s worth $65 million and lives in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., a town she largely owns. “You’ve got to continue to

The Coal Miner’s Daughter from Butcher Holler, Ky., started off dirt poor in a family with eight children who wore old flour sacks to school and went barefoot. The family lived in a one-room cabin with no electricity or running water, and Loretta’s mom, Clara, decorated the walls of the house with pages from a magazine. She named Loretta after the actress Loretta Young and kept a photo of her over her crib.

When Loretta was 11 months old, she contracted a severe ear infection that re quired doctors to drill two holes in her skull to clean out the affected areas. The family couldn’t afford to keep Loretta in the hos pital overnight, so every day Clara would walk the ten miles to the medical center for her daughter’s treatment. The illness explains why she didn’t walk until she was four years old, and even today, she wears her hair long to hide the scars.

But the singer says her tough upbringing made her strong, self-sufficient, gritty and capable of fighting her own battles.

She counts her late father, Ted Webb, as the “most important person in my life.”

“He worked so hard and never com plained,” says Loretta. “He always made us feel so loved, and we always knew he loved our mommy. He was kind and tenderheart ed. My love for him and my pride in who he was inspired my biggest hit. I’ll always be proud to be a Coal Miner’s Daughter.”

Webb died from black lung disease at age 52 in 1959.

Loretta’s husband, Oliver “Doolittle” Lynn — also known as Doo and Mooney

— made two promises to Ted when he mar ried Loretta. First, he said he would never physically harm her. Second, he promised not take her away from her family.

He quickly broke both promises.

On their wedding night, he reportedly beat Loretta, then moved her all the way to Washington state so he could work in the logging camps.

When she was away, her father died. She was overwhelmed with guilt and grief, nev er suspecting the heartbreak and financial woes in store.

The first of her six children, Betty Sue, arrived in 1948, when the couple were still in Washington. While Loretta was pregnant, Mooney went to live with another woman, but came back in time for the birth. She went on to have five more — Jack Benny, Clara (aka Cissy), Ernest and twins Peggy and Patsy, along with three miscarriages.

In 1975, she wrote a song called “The Pill,” which was denounced by preachers and banned from radio play. But censoring the tune only made it more popular!

Loretta says if she knew about them, she would have eaten birth control pills “like popcorn!”

She went on to write a total of 14 songs like “Fist City” and “Don’t Come Home aDrinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)” that were banned for being “immoral” — but became megahits!

Living with Mooney was a constant torment. He left her constantly, drank,

FBI’S 10 MOST WANTED

HELP THE FEDS CATCH THESE FUGITIVES — THERE COULD BE BIG REWARD MONEY!

If you’ve ever been to a post office or any other government building, you’ve probably seen the poster of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List — the killers and thieves who’ve gone on the run and proven so tough to catch, officials turned to the public for help.

In fact, as of February 2022, a total of 526 fugitives have been listed, and 491 of them were captured or located — one third of them with assistance from eagle-eyed average folks. If you or someone you know has any information that could lead to an arrest of one of these wanted men, call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), contact your local field office, the closest international office or go online to fbi.gov and fill out a form called “Online Tips” or “Public Leads.” As of February 2022, these are the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted:

44 FOR YOU

STOLE BRAD FROM JEN!

DELIBERATELY TIPPED PHOTOGS TO CATCH HER WITH MARRIED HUNK

Scheming temptress Angelina Jolie deliberately destroyed Brad Pitt’s once happy marriage to America’s Sweetheart Jennifer Aniston by leaking their secret trysts to the public.

That’s the explosive charge made by retired Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner, who says the now 47-year-old Maleficent witch tipped his photogs to the illicit affair after she had lured Brad, 58, to Africa for a steamy getaway while he was STILL married to the former Friends beauty!

“We got the photo, we got the proof. We had the worldwide scoop, the debut of Brangelina,” the publishing icon scribbles in his new autobiography, Like a Rolling Stone.

Now The National ENQUIRER can ex clusively reveal Angie plotted to expose her torrid 2005 affair with her very mar ried Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star to ensure he couldn’t return to his wife and to worm her way onto Hollywood’s A-list!

“Angelina wanted to make Brad her man and sabotage his marriage to Jen, but it had as much to do with self-promotion as passion,” an insider dishes. “She knew the forbidden fling would lift her visibility significantly — and show everyone she was more desired than even one of the most be loved A-list ladies in town!”

The insider also insists the Girl, Inter rupted vixen never hesitated to go after Brad and never thought about how it might wound Jen — who had enjoyed five largely happy years with Brad!

“The way she went after him and targeted him for her own was appalling,” dishes a source.

She even used her adopted son Maddox to

help cinch the deal, says the source, adding: “She knew Brad would become close to the boy. The now-notorious picture of Angie looking over them together on the beach appears all the more manipulative to those in the know.”

As ENQUIRER readers know, the torrid affair spelled the end of Brad’s marriage to Aniston. They announced their separation on Jan. 24, 2005. Jennifer filed for divorce two months later on March 25.

Wenner’s revelation that Angie alerted him to her affair with Pitt — knowing it would go viral — shows her lack of guilt over using any underhanded measure to get what she wants — no matter the cost, insiders charge.

ENQUIRER readers are also aware An gie has taken off the gloves since her bitter split from Brad in August 2016 when she charged he had gotten drunk and violent on a private flight with their six kids on board!

In legal docs, Angie described Brad as a “monster” who berated the children dur ing an alleged toxic tirade and dragged her to the back of the plane, shaking her while yelling, “You’re f**king up this family!”

Shortly after, Brad was inves tigated for abuse and cleared by authorities!

“Throughout their own divorce, Angie has had no problems painting Brad as a bad, even abusive, father and husband,” the source spills.

“She wanted the FBI report about their final fight in their private jet to be released recently because it dredged up all her al legations about his drinking and abuses again.”

Angie has also drawn out their seemingly unending court battles as Brad continues to push for joint custody of their still-minor kids, 14-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, Shiloh, 16, and Zahara, 17.

The fight has gone on so long, Maddox, 21, and Pax, 18, are no longer minors or part of the battle!

The Tomb Raider beauty also ignited a dirty fight over their $320 million French vineyard, Chateau Miraval, which they purchased together in 2008.

The vindictive vixen sold her 50 percent to ruthless Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler — who’s being probed in the deaths of three business rivals — without bothering to let Brad know until after the deal was done!

TAIL-GATOR HITS THE ROAD!

The onceendangered species can now be hunted

AFlorida driver gives a whole new meaning to being a tail-gator!

Stunned motorist Karen Kress was driving along I-95 in Brevard County when she spotted a massive alligator lashed down to a small platform on the back of an SUV — and she snapped a photo of the bizarre sight.

“I’m 99 percent sure it was dead,” Kress says. “It was definitely real.”

American alligators were classified as an endangered species in the 1960s, but the population rebounded well enough for the fearsome critters to be removed from the list.

This unlucky reptile looks to be a casualty of gator hunting season, which runs from Aug. 15 to Nov. 1. Permits are awarded to hunters via a lottery.

The driver of the SUV remains unidentified, but an observant internet poster notes: “The gator was harvested during hunting season. You can see the yellow gator ‘tag’ fastened to his tail.”

Bagging a gator can be quite profitable due to the growing market for the animal’s meat and skin.

In fact, there are estimates a dead alligator is worth more than $10,000!
