welcome It has been a year of development and change for the Students’ Union. A new strategic direction and a clear set of overarching objectives have focussed our minds on what we need to achieve. Our new vision is of “A world class student experience for all our students” which we are aiming to achieve by helping students say four strong statements about their time with us: 1. “I belong” 2. “I am heard” 3. “I am realising my potential” 4. “I am supported” In working towards our new goals, we have seen the start of some outstanding studentled projects and the embedding of some established initiatives. Five of the projects that impressed me most this year were: 1. A fantastic new Freshers programme of events that diversified our welcoming activities. 2. A new Rep Online System (ROS) for our Student Reps has enabled us to gather far more student feedback than ever before and, through our new ‘Big Rep Meeting’, have impactful conversations with key decision makers across the Universities.
3. At a time when mental health reaches crisis point in our society, we were successful in winning funding from British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS) to run an innovative programme called ‘Choose Your Day’ which enabled over 150 new students to try a new sport and help bring more balance to their lives and improve their mental health. 4. We proudly launched our Community Wardens Programme, focussed on developing stronger community links and helping students and local residents live well together. 5. We saw the second year of the Voices project produce five more impactful volumes, giving a platform to even more student communities whose voices would otherwise have been lost in the noise. But these have only just scratched the surface of what our students have achieved this year. And none of these would be achievable without the continued generous support from both Falmouth and Exeter Universities. This booklet gives you an opportunity to reflect with us on a truly amazing year in the Students’ Union. We hope you enjoy it, and we look forward to working with you in the future. This has been a big year of learning for me, and the Students’ Union is moving in such a positive direction in terms of its partership with Falmouth University, which I hope to continue next year. My proudest achievements are the developments we have made to our representation system, such as The Big Rep Meeting, which has helped bring students and senior management together, as well as creating more bespoke support for Falmouth students, which was well overdue. Overall, it was been such an honour to represent Falmouth students and I am extremely thankful for this opportunity.
I have loved being involved in the Students’ Union throughout my time at university and being the FXU President Student Experience this year has really been the icing on the cake. Seeing huge strides in the developments of campus projects, from Future Spaces to sustainability initiatives, has been a huge highlight of my year. FXU Activities has also continued to blossom, with incredible achievements in BUCS and awesome wins from our sports bursary students. It’s also been wonderful to start working on campaigns such as Own It and Choose Your Day to see the impact FXU Activities have on individual student journeys, from helping combat isolation, loneliness and mental health issues, to helping to stop students leaving university.

During my reign as the Supreme of the Students’ Union, we have seen a tremendous shift in what it means to get involved with FXU, fighting for the right of every student to feel like they belong here. We have cultivated a sector-leading liberation campaign called Voices, which has produced ten diverse print publications celebrating the experiences of our students, has been admired in universities and at conferences across the UK and Europe, and we have supported Lost in the noise—a documentary inspired by Voices. As well as this, we have co-created oodles of wellbeing campaigns; from SEXhibition to our Ambitions in Mind Week, launched the Community Wardens scheme, rewrote the President Welfare portfolio and transformed our governance.
Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I have had this opportunity to dedicate a year of my life to representing the University of Exeter’s Cornwall Campuses. I wanted to use this platform to start initiatives and campaigns that really highlight the passion and sense of community that make Cornwall so brilliant and why I love it so much. Awarding our Reps at this year’s Student Voice Awards for their hard work made me incredibly proud to represent such an inspiring network of students and I hope that I have made them equally proud as their FXU President Exeter.

Summer 2018
Legends Launch
We re-vamped the V-Team (volunteering) platform and launched Legends to current students over the summer. The idea behind the rebrand was to create a sense of belonging and to emphasise that, no matter how much time you give, if you volunteer, you are a Legend to the Students’ Union.
Sarah elected as NaSFA Chair
Sarah Redman, FXU President Student Experience, was elected as Chair of the National Student Fundraising Association at the 2018 conference at University of West of England. This is a voluntary role in addition to her work with the Students’ Union.

Governance Restructure
In the summer, the Board of Trustees selected Harry Bishop, FXU President Community & Welfare, to be their Interim Chair of the Board to carry out a Governance Review. Since then, we have created three subcommittees, each chaired by an FXU President, and recruited two new trustees to the full Board, Rosie Hunnam and Simba Muzarurwi, who will become our new permanent chair.
Fresh. Freshers 2019
In September, we welcomed our new members joining Falmouth University and the University of Exeter in Cornwall. During Freshers fortnight, we hosted our most ambitious and actionpacked programme to date, featuring 12 large-scale events across campus (three times that of previous years), including a music festival at the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA), outdoor cinema, a games night, murder mystery and a special performance from Professor Green. We also supported 354 activities from our sports clubs, societies and volunteer projects.

September Committee Conference
230 students attended FXU’s Committee Conference at Falmouth Campus to enhance skills and knowledge for their roles on our student-led activity groups for the year ahead. Sessions focused on inclusivity, sustainability, data protection, health and safety, wellbeing, marketing and more.
SEXhibition
Hosted in the Upper Stannary, this year, the campaign moved to Freshers and, alongside our infamous rodeo bull, we had chlamydia testing, C-Card registration, bra fittings, and lots and lots of free contraception. We were joined by the NHS and other external organisations.
The Big Green Meeting
The first Big Green Meeting was held in September. These meetings are a chance for all students to come together to discuss sustainability on our campuses. From plastic use, to biodiversity, to green travel, there’s something for everybody to get involved with.
It’s Ok Not To Be Ok
We launched a mental health awareness campaign in time for Freshers, with a vinyl on the bus shelter on Penryn Campus, stickers in every bathroom in universitymanaged accommodation, plus features across social media and digital signage.
Sports Committee
The Sports Committee launched with five students in elected roles: Chairperson, Communications Officer, Social & Events Secretary, Kit & Merchandise Secretary, Participation & Inclusion Officer.
Why Not Wednesdays
With Wednesday afternoons free from lectures, students have been making the most of the extracurricular activities available on campus. Why Not Wednesday launched in September and features free and discounted sessions in the Sports Centres and offers in the Stannary.

Community Wardens
A new team of Student Community Wardens was recruited to patrol residential areas of Falmouth, helping to support good community relations and neighbourly behaviour. The pilot programme, in partnership with the two Universities, focuses on the Smithick Ward, with six students working in the area.
Voices Series Two
Following a very successful first year, Voices returned for a second year with five new editions, exploring the hardships that students face when coming to university— Survivors, Gender, Community, Body, and International. Overall, the volumes have been seen online over 40,000 times.
Course Reps
Over 350 student Reps were elected and trained, with new sessions specifically addressing inclusivity and sustainability.
ROS
Izi Robe, FXU President Exeter, was elected onto the committee for the National Union of Students’ Society and Citizenship Zone, leading sustainability nationally.
We launched our new student feedback tool ROS (Rep Online System). This portal allows Reps to send feedback straight to the correct department and covers all areas of the student experience. 4,634 student views and opinions have been submitted since October, capturing evidenced-based feedback on what works well, what works less well and new ideas.

Volunteering Fair
NUS Zones
We worked with FXPlus to Do the Green Thing Together, encouraging staff and students to make a difference. The campaign featured a week of talks, workshops, activities, films and food.

Over 50 external partners attended the University of Exeter and FXU collaborative event to display and discuss volunteering opportunities for students.
November The Big Rep Meeting
The inaugural Big Rep Meeting was held on 14 November, with over 150 Reps attending and feeding back directly to senior managers of both Universities and FXPlus. This gave Reps a chance to look at wider themes around student and academic experience, and engage in solution focused discussions with their Students’ Union and Universities.
Give it a Go!
The newly elected Sports Committee delivered a week of sports tasters for students to try something which they may have missed during the Freshers period.
Falmouth Anchor win
The Falmouth Anchor won two awards at the Student Publication Association’s Regional Conference: Best Impact and Best Development.

Postgrad Research meeting
The first FXU PGR Executive meeting for the University of Exeter was held, heralding a new era of representation for research students in Cornwall.
Green Committee
The newly elected Green Committee features six student roles: Biodiversity Officer, Energy Officer, Food Officer, Marine Officer, Travel Officer, and Waste Officer.
Movember
The CSM Rugby and Men’s Hockey clubs took part in the charity fundraiser. Between them, they raised £2,378 for the UK’s leading charity which changes the face of men’s health, focusing on prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health and suicide prevention. CSM Rugby alone raised £1,934 and Bryn Llewellyn raised £285.
Snowsports went to BUCS Snowsports sent a small team to Edinburgh for BUCS Dryslope Championships (BUDS). They were able to attend thanks to a small grant from the FXU Sports Development Fund (Exeter Annual Fund). This was the first time the FXU Snowsports Club had sent a team to BUDS and they are hoping that it will be repeated in future years.
Shakira Martin
NUS President Shakira Martin travelled down to Penryn Campus to talk about how she overcame adversity to become the President of the National Union of Students 2017–19.

Fundraising Week
As part of Fundraising Week, the Events Society hosted a bake sale and completed a 200-mile sponsored cycle in collaboration with Flexsi, all to raise money for Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity. The charity works with seriously ill children aged 3–18 to grant their wishes.
December Food For Thought
On 6 December, the first Food for Thought session was held, with current research students presenting their work on the topic of Sustainable Futures.

Societies Committee
The newly elected committee is made up of seven student roles: Arts, Music & Performance Societies Officer, Exeter Academic & Course-Related Societies Officer, Falmouth Academic & Course-Related Societies Officer, Hobby & Special Interest Societies Officer, Media Societies Officer, Political & Campaigning Societies Officer, and Representative, Faith & Liberation Societies Officer.
Lost
Five teams raced against the clock to get back to campus (without spending any money) from their drop-off point in deepest Devon, raising over ÂŁ750 for Samaritans.
Student elected to Town Council
FXU Labour Society Treasurer and Mature Students Officer, Kurt Lewis, was elected on to the Town Council for Penryn East.

Christmas
Student Community Wardens and Students’ Union staff combined forces to first pay a visit to every flat on the Penryn Campus, and then on to residential areas of Falmouth, to deliver cards and collect food bank donations.
January Community Wardens win special recognition award
The Student Community Wardens team attended the Harbour Lights 2019 Community Hero Awards, where they were presented with a Special Recognition Award.
Mental Health funding
FXU was awarded £8,000 from BUCS and Sport England to deliver physical activity for mental wellbeing sessions. ‘Choose your Day’ was implemented from February to May, with over 150 individual students (not already involved in FXU clubs) taking part in activities including kayaking, yoga, hiking, surf therapy and stand-up paddle boarding.
Refresh
Students’ Union sports clubs, societies and volunteer projects held more than 50 activities to welcome students back after the Christmas break.
Workshop Festival
FXU Bee Society have offered sessions as part of Falmouth University’s Workshop Festival in January and May. Feedback from students, who enjoyed an afternoon of creativity and relaxation, was very positive.

It’s Ok To Knock
Izi Robe, FXU President Exeter, collaborated with Professor Catherine Leyshon in the Geography department to develop the ‘It’s ok not to be ok’ campaign into the world of teaching. The new stickers promote an environment which is open for students, postgrads, postdocs and even staff to get help and support with the stresses of work and study. They seek to reduce the intimidation that some students feel when faced with the prospect of having to approach a closed door to talk to staff about any problems.
New Year, New Me
FXU Environment & Ethics Officer, Elizabeth Streeter, worked with the Green Committee and the FXU President Student Experience to encourage students to live more sustainably. Daily advice was shared across January on Instagram.
Meg Bailey qualifies for British Indoor Championships
Meg Bailey, one of our Sports Bursary recipients, competed at an open athletics competition. She jumped a personal best of 3.81m and qualified for the British Indoor Championships.
Street Clean
Falmouth Civic Society, the Students’ Union’s Beach Clean Project and Student Community Wardens, combined efforts to clean up the residential areas between Falmouth Moor and Woodlane. Around 30 volunteers, including families with children, litter picked their way through the town terraces, collecting waste that varied from cigarette butts to paper, plastic and glass. Between them, over 15 refuse sacks full of waste were collected, leaving the streets looking a lot less littered.

February FXU President Elections 2019/20
5,114 votes were recorded from 1,935 students. Callie Edwards was re-elected as FXU President Falmouth, Sarah Redman was re-elected as FXU President Student Experience, Allie Guy was elected as FXU President Community & Welfare, and Joe Rigby was elected as FXU President Exeter.
BUCS Cross Country and Indoors Athletics Championships
Some great performances at BUCS Cross Country and Indoor Athletics Championships: two of our Sports Bursary students, Megan Bailey and Laura Armorgie, placed 8th and 9th respectively at the Indoors.
Bottle Match
130 students travelled to London to participate in, and spectate at, the country’s oldest varsity match. Football, Rugby, Hockey (Men’s and Ladies’), Netball, Lacrosse, Squash, Badminton and Tennis competed, with seven wins out of nine. All sports clubs wore rainbow laces and a united kit. CSM Rugby also had a hugely successful ‘Bottle Match Hair Cuts’ fundraising campaign this year, raising £3,000, as well as promoting a healthy dialogue about men’s mental health.
Disability Week
This week-long campaign inspired a positive change in perceptions of disabilities, addressing barriers to everyday life activities faced by disabled people. The Don’t DisAbility Society used the theme ‘Don’t Disable Me’ to focus on students’ abilities as opposed to their disabilities. The campaign particularly targeted the use of offensive terminology and stereotyping with regard to disability that exists both on campus and in the wider community; as well as issues of self-confidence, which prevent those who are deemed to be ‘less able’ from feeling included.
Cheerleading Nationals
FXU Fusion Cheerleading made their debut as a competitive team at Future Cheer UK University Nationals in Manchester’s Central Arena and placed third in their category.

Enterprise & Employability Fund
FXU was awarded a pot of money from the University of Exeter Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) funding to support the development of student-led enterprise and employability focused activity. Individuals, Exeter Course Reps and/or Academic Societies can apply for the funding to carry out events and activities that will support course specific skills. Projects supported include Sci-Fest, outdoor first aid and a Women in Business speaker event.
CoppaFeel Boob Ball Dodgeball Tournament
Five teams competed at the collaborative event between CoppaFeel Uni Boob Team and Falmouth Falcons Dodgeball Team. Over £100 was raised for CoppaFeel.
Sexual Violence Awareness Week
A team of professionals from the Students’ Union, Student Services, the NHS, the Police, and sexual violence organisations came together to create the Tea & Consent Tent to mark Sexual Violence Awareness Week and talk with students over a cup of tea. The campaign quoted having over 45 serious conversations.
Student Volunteering Week
We raised the profile of our fantastic student volunteers and supported student-led campaigns including PlasticFree Week, DisAbility Week, and Believe and Do Good, as well as a SLEPF (Student Led Event & Project Fund) funded conference on Animal Welfare and Conservation in Cornwall.
Course Rep Social
As part of strengthening the Course Rep community, 67 Reps attended a social event held at Raze the Roof, hosted by the FXU Presidents. Reps received an update on the Presidents’ progress and had the opportunity to complete an FXU ‘You’re Brilliant Award’, recognising brilliant members of staff, before playing competitive lasar tag and sharing a buffet dinner.
Own It
FXU President Student Experience, Sarah Redman, launched a new campaign celebrating the positive role FXU Activities play in the student experience. Three students featured in a series of videos highlighting how extracurricular activities can help with retention.

March Elections
FXU Leadership Team and Student Rep Elections took place, electing the students that will volunteer to represent the student voice for the next academic year.
Big Rep Meeting #2
The second Big Rep Meeting was held, looking at areas such as the IT service, events, social and academic spaces and Student Services.

Mixed Netball Tournament A successful mixed netball tournament, organised by CSM Netball, raised money for Cancer Research. It has become an annual event.
Mental Health first aid training
AIM Week
As students approached deadlines and exam hand-ins, we launched AIM Week. With more than 30 activities held throughout the week, encouraging students to take a break from their studies and de-stress. We launched the Lounge and created a pillow cinema, set-up a chillout yurt to have sessions such as Lego Café and Beach Clean plastic workshops, as well as other activities such as zinemaking and laughter yoga.
FXU Showcase
The FXU Showcase was a studentled performing arts showcase, featuring 200 students from 11 activity groups, plus a local performing arts school. The event also fundraised for charity Dance Aid, which uses dance as a way to help orphaned, poor and disabled children across the UK, Africa and Asia.
Hip Hop Nationals
The Deadlock Dance Crew from Falmouth FXU Hip-Hop Dance Society went to UDO’s British Street Dance Championships in Somerset and walked away with four trophies. They won: 1st Place for Over 18 Beginners, 2nd Place University Division, 2nd Place Over 18 Beginner Solos, and 3rd Place Over 18 Beginner Solos.
Module Fair
The Fair was held for all Exeter undergraduates, with everything from Law to Languages, Medical School to Maths. Second and third years were also on hand to offer a student perspective on choosing modules.
CSM Crazy Week
The Camborne School of Mines Students’ Association raised £1,460 to be split between RNLI and Sepsis Trust.

Hannah Partington, FXU Representation Manager (Exeter) and Kerry Blewett-Hill, FXU Activities & Events Administrator, attended a full-day course for Higher Education at Bristol SU. They both completed the Mental Health First Aid England course: Higher Education MHFA One Day, and are now trained to recognise mental ill health and to help people find the support they need to stay well. FXU Activities Administrator also attended two further half-day courses at London School of Economics.
Wild Film Fest
Wild Film Fest (supported by TEF funding) is a celebration of student wildlife storytelling and all things nature. This year, the society welcomed students from across the UK to enter their best wildlife films and photographs into the Wild Film Festival, as well as meet industry experts who delivered guest lectures. The filmmaking and photography competitions provide students with a platform to showcase their hard work and passion for wildlife media.
March WILD Young Parents
The Young Parents Project is a charity working with young parents across Cornwall, aimed at encouraging them to register to vote and empowering them through creative arts. They ran several workshops and casual sessions and giving the students a chance to register to vote. 20 young mothers were in attendance.
Gender neutral toilets
FXU President Community & Welfare, Harry Bishop, worked with both Universities and FXPlus to take down the seven-foot gendered bathroom signs in the Stannary bar which represented a new commitment to creating a more inclusive campus for trans and non-binary students.
Energy review
Green Consultants is a programme from Cornwall Career Zone, designed to provide students with additional skills and experience required to work in the environmental and sustainability sector. Four students are leading on a project to make the FXU office more sustainable.
Jailbreak
Eight teams competed to get as far away from campus as possible without spending any of their own money on travel. The winning team, ‘Nidi Va Zeke’, got to Corralejo, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands: 2,540.84 km (1,578.81 miles) within the time limit. Over ÂŁ2,000 was raised for the Samaritans.
Understanding Autism Award
Select FXU team members began their Understanding Autism Award course online. This is just another example of how FXU enhance their inclusive practice by developing their knowledge and skills to positively impact the student voice.

Falmouth Anchor shortlisted for national awards
The Falmouth Anchor was shortlisted for five national awards at the Student Publication Association National Conference. Ivan Edwards was shortlisted for Best Reporter, Melissa Watt was shortlisted for Best Entertainment Piece, Ivan Edwards and Annissa Warsame were shortlisted for Best News Story, and Annissa Warsame was shortlisted for the Billy Dowling-Reid Award for Outstanding Commitment and for Best Human Rights Story.
Bystander training
Free Bystander Intervention Training was led by the Cornwall Rape And Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC), teaching students more about consent. The sessions were attended by 33 students and ten members of staff.

Big Falmouth Food Book
A SLEPF-funded project led by FXU Community Officer, Esther Wilson, featuring family favourite recipes from students and local residents. The project was supported by Falmouth Mayor Grenville Chappell and Falmouth & Truro MP, Sarah Newton. The launch event was held at Dolly’s Tea Room in Falmouth, with tasters and live music.
NUS National Conference Harry Bishop, President Community & Welfare, stood in the NUS elections to be the next VP Welfare 2019/20 and came second to incumbent Eva Crossan Jory. FXU student delegates included Izi Robe, Bee Hellier and John Fish.
Exeter Teaching Awards
The 10th annual Exeter Teaching Awards, co-hosted by FXU & The Guild, received over 1,000 nominations! Congratulations to all Cornwall staff who were shortlisted, especially for Tim Hughes, winner of Best UG Supervisor, and for Renewable Energy for Best Subject.
Legends funding
The Students’ Union secured £2,000 from the Exeter Alumni Fund. Funding is to be invested in the Union’s existing ‘Legends’ platform: an online system that provides student volunteers the opportunity to connect with external community volunteering partners, to record all their volunteering hours and to receive incentives and recognition for the hours they offer to volunteering outside of their studies.

International sports trips
FXU Ladies’ Football and the FXU Snowsports Club both took part in trips abroad during the Easter break, to Croatia and Les Deux Alpes respectively.
May Activities Awards
Staff and students submitted nearly 200 nominations for the 20 Activities awards, covering everything from Outstanding Sporting Contribution and Sustainable Activity to Unsung Hero and Overall Contribution to FXU Activities.
Student Voice Awards
The second annual Student Voice Awards introduced new categories, including Innovation and Teamwork. The team also rewarded Reps who have shown exceptional commitment with a Gold Award.

Subject Chair training (Exeter)
Subject Chairs received further training to develop their knowledge and share best practice. Building on previous Subject Chair training, TEF funding allowed this event to take place as a formal conference-style event.
Skydive
Sweet Treats Welcome for the 2019/20 elected Reps and Department Chairs (Falmouth)
Students fell from the sky (with parachutes) to raise over £800 for Surfers Against Sewage.
A chance for Falmouth Course Reps and Department Chairs to meet informally and begin the new chapter in the Student Voice calendar ahead of the Summer leave. To motivate and inspire an active start to the new year on their return.
Slip & Slide
The annual Slip & Slide has earned legendary status. The 100m of fun is co-funded by the University of Exeter Cornwall and the Students’ Union, offering an afternoon of entertainment for students at the end of the academic year.
BUCS Outdoors
A small team from FXU took part in the BUCS Outdoor Athletics Championships. There were some good performances, with Abbie Milnes qualifying for the semi-final of the 800m with a personal best and Megan Bailey coming 9th in the Pole Vault and Laura Armorgie coming 6th in the high jump.
Community Raft Race
Organised by the Students’ Union and Penryn Town council. Crowds lined the Penryn quay to see eight teams battle it out over two heats and a final race. Awards were presented by Rose Hitchens-Todd (FXU Community Partnerships Manager), Mary May (Penryn Town Council), and Mayor Wenmouth.

May Big Alumni Meeting
A group of recent University of Exeter graduates who held student leadership roles within FXU came back to share their post-graduation journeys with current students.
Ladies’ Football Cup Final
FXU Ladies’ Football came runners up in the Supplementary Cup losing to a very good Mousehole team in the final. A great result after returning to the league this year after a long break for the club.
Climate Emergency
FXU Presidents and the FXU Green Committee launched a petition and an open letter to both Universities to ask them to declare a climate emergency and to commit to taking proactive action on tackling climate change by committing to becoming carbon neutral by 2030. On 20 May 2019, the University of Exeter declared climate and environment emergency.
Voices Celebration

BioBlitz
This free community event is open to all ages and is perfect for families who are looking for entertainment with an educational focus as well as locally supplied refreshments. Activities included nature walks, small mammal and moth trapping, treasure hunts, arts and craft stalls, face painting and a jump on the bouncy castle. Wildlife and charity organisations from all over Cornwall came to campus with loads of exciting stalls, activities and opportunities for attendees to get involved in.
Training videos
The Students’ Union created Core Academic Training videos in partnership with Falmouth on Trans 101, as well as an introduction to the Union and to Voices.
Beth Leighfield, Longboarding
Beth Leighfield, one of our Sports Bursary students, won first place in the Women’s Division at the British Longboard Championship. She has now qualified to be part of Team GB, which will be competing at the International Surf Association World Longboard Championship in France.

FXU Advice Service Over 600 cases, plus email, phone and drop-in enquiries This year, the Advice Service has helped students: ·· Get extra years student funding so that they can complete their courses ·· Make successful academic appeals leading to improved grades ·· Get compensation from landlords for disrepair ·· Access financial support to help deal with hardship ·· Avoid withdrawing so that they can complete their courses successfully
FXU Student Voice 240 Falmouth Course Reps and 18 Falmouth Department Chairs have co-ordinated feedback across their subject area and represented student views and opinions to Falmouth staff 125 Exeter Course Reps and 18 Subject Chairs have co-ordinated feedback across their subject area and represented student views and opinions to Exeter staff 24 FXU Student Leadership Team members have made strategiclevel decisions at eight Leadership Team meetings 105 You’re Brilliant Awards submitted and presented, recognising brilliant members of staff who have made a difference to individual students’ journeys 2,282 hours logged on the Legends platform for representation

FXU Activities FXU have supported 153 activity groups including 82 societies, 57 sports clubs, and 16 volunteer projects. Over 35,000 volunteering hours logged through the Legends platform for more than 470 individuals 3,358 memberships to our activity groups have been purchased Legends awards presented to students this year: 464 bronze, 299 silver, 99 gold, 39 platinum, 8 crystal FXU have supported: 12 TEF projects, 11 Green Fund projects, and 5 SLEPF projects Eight students awarded Sports Bursaries Over 75 guest speakers on campus £56,000 raised for charity
