Earl Graves, Jr., owner of Black Enterprise Magazine, spoke at Texas Christian University during Black History Month He shared insights from his father’s journey building the groundbreaking, national media company from scratch. Remembering words of advice still relevant today, he told students:
“You only get one chance to make a first impression.”
“There’s nothing casual about business.”
“ The harder your work, the luckier you get.”
