Dear Supporter,
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I share with you our Annual Report for 2023–2024, a year that has truly exemplified the power of collaboration, commitment, and community-led change
This year, we continued to grow our impact across our global hubs, reaching just under 9,000 learners, delivering more than 6,100 hours of workshops, and dedicating over 39,000 hours to programme development From enhancing learning environments and boosting student confidence to building healthier communities and promoting sustainable livelihoods, our work has touched underserved communities around the world
Our education programmes remained at the heart of our mission, investing over 32,000 hours into delivering quality learning opportunities and supporting educators through training In Cambodia, our long-standing partnership with the Supplementary Education Centre provided nearly 400 students with three additional hours of daily learning, transforming dropout rates and inspiring academic achievement
In health, we expanded access to basic healthcare and preventative education, with nearly 3,000 individuals receiving health checks, 650 people trained in first aid, and women ’ s health programmes breaking down longstanding barriers, especially for young women and girls
On livelihoods, we empowered youth and women to build brighter futures, launching new financial literacy programmes in Nepal and providing critical scholarships in India to help students stay in school and thrive
Our financial investment in programme delivery also reached new heights this year We increased our net charitable resources to £325,480, up from £311,898 the previous year More significantly, our total expenditure on charitable activities grew by 64%, reaching £376,532 a clear reflection of our determination to scale our impact The majority of our resources, 70%, were directed towards education initiatives, followed by 25% on health and 5% on livelihoods, aligning closely with our mission to foster lasting, community-led development
And through our climate action and gender equality initiatives, we continued to work towards a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future From planting over 19,000 trees to running workshops on STEAM for girls and supporting ethical animal welfare, every step we took was grounded in our belief that sustainable change starts with empowered people
While we faced challenges, particularly a reduction in income through fundraising and increased operational costs, we are proud to have maintained the scale of our charitable activities thanks to the unwavering support of our global community and the contribution received from the FutureSense Group companies Looking ahead, our focus is on rebuilding financial resilience, deepening impact, and enhancing our ability to measure change through a stronger Monitoring & Evaluation framework
To every volunteer, supporter, partner, and team member who contributed to our journey this year, thank you You are part of a growing global movement for change Together, we are not only responding to today’s challenges but helping shape a more hopeful and equitable tomorrow
With gratitude,
Arvind Malhotra Founder and Chairman

Since our partnership with Pongobamba School in Peru, began in July 2024, we ’ ve reached 91 students, helping them progress from no conversational English to foundational skills in colours, numbers, greetings, and introductions
In addition to language skills, our efforts aligned with sustainability initiatives, covering 30 workshop topics on recycling, resource creation, and nutrition With 2-3 workshops per month per grade, students consistently engaged often requesting facilitators by name and showing their enthusiasm for learning
In November and December, with the help of our project participants, we expanded the school’s dining area from 15 to 30 square meters, creating a safer, more comfortable space for meals and workshops
Previously, students ate outside on broken chairs or cement blocks now, they have a sheltered, functional space that enhances their daily experience
FutureSense Foundation ha students. The workshops are not just lessons but gateways to greater opportunities. This work will have a lasting impact on their future, and we are deeply grateful for it.

FutureSense Foundation is committed to strengthening community resilience through essential first aid training. In many communities, access to emergency medical services is limited, making basic first aid knowledge a crucial skill that can save lives
Our first-aid training empowers individuals with the confidence and ability to respond effectively in emergencies, ensuring they can support those in need and contribute to overall community safety
656 people received first-aid training
Access to healthcare remains a major challenge in rural Cambodia, where many individuals face barriers to even basic medical services.
In January 2024, our Cambodia Hub, in partnership with our international project participants, who specalised in nursing, took action to bridge this gap.
Working alongside local healthcare professionals, we combined international and local medical expertise to provide general health assessments, advice and medication Over 5 days of pop-up clinics and 20 family visits, we provided formal health assessments to 283 individuals (69% female, 31% male).
Beyond immediate medical care, we are continuously delivering health education workshops to empower communities especially children with essential knowledge on dental hygiene, nutrition, and handwashing practices By using interactive learning methods, we made preventive healthcare both engaging and accessible

Gender Equality is at the heart of everything we do.
Women make up more than half of the population in the countries we work in, yet gender inequalities limit their education, economic opportunities, and social mobility Across all our programmes, we actively integrate gender-inclusive practices to create equal opportunities for girls and women
Our support, focuses on:
Integrate gender equality across all our initiatives to create equal opportunities
Equip girls and women with the skills and confidence to pursue careers in STEAM
Promote leadership development, fostering confidence and independence
Ensuring girls have the necessary tools, education, and support to thrive
This is not just a workshop, but a beautiful opportunity for women like us to connect with each other ... As women, we are always busy taking care of our families, but this time was solely for us.
Countless girls lack affordable and hygienic menstrual products. As a result, 50% of girls in rural Battambang region miss school during their periods.
In August, our Cambodia Hub conducted a reproductive health needs assessment with 46 young female learners, aged 11-13 The assessment aimed to uncover existing levels of reproductive health knowledge, identify cultural and social barriers, and shape future workshop content that speaks directly to the girls’ needs
Key findings included:
Period hygiene and body development were the top priorities
Confusion around menstruation
There is visible stigma around menstruation
Strong desire for safe, open conversations
74% about periods felt scared 18% knew what a period symptom was
This needs assessment wasn't just a data-gathering exercise - it was a call to action. By listening to the girls and letting their voices guide us, we can ensure our reproductive health workshops are not only relevant but empowering.
Women are undervalued in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics market, and as such are discouraged from entering these sectors due to limited support and opportunities
Across our hubs, we ' ve introduced STEAM workshops in partnership with local schools to provide early exposure to these fields particularly for our female learners These workshops not only spark curiosity and nurture technical skills, but also play a vital role in building social and emotional development.
2023-24
This year we experienced a reduction in fundraising income from partner donations, which had a notable impact on our overall financial position We were pleased, however, that with increased support from the FutureSense Group, we were able to maintain the level of net resources available for our charitable activities
Despite this, we ended the year with a deficit of £67,085, primarily due to rising operational costs
Looking ahead, our focus is on rebuilding our reserves and strengthening our financial sustainability. A key part of this will be increasing partner donations and to ensure we can continue to support our programmes and communities effectively
Statement of Financial Activities For the year end 31st August 2024
We are proud to launch a new phase of growth with our long-term Strategic Plan, building on the momentum of the past year This roadmap sets our direction for deepening impact, strengthening operations, and securing our future sustainability
Our strategy focuses on four core goals:

To secure our future, we are focused on enhancing our financial resilience We aim to achieve this by:
Increasing funding from our key partner, Challenges Abroad, through a rise in student groups
Expanding our fundraising efforts and deepening relationships with our community of supporters
2 Strengthen organisational capacity and capability
We recognise that a strong team is the backbone of our mission To build our organisational strength, we will:
Continue expanding our core team with strategic new hires
Enhance our recruitment processes to attract and retain top talent
Invest in professional development to empower our people with the skills they need to thrive
3 Enhance programme management capability
We will improve the quality and reach of our projects by:
Standardising best practices across all projects
Strengthening project design and delivery across all hubs
In a major new focus area, we are embedding impact measurement into everything we do by:
Launching a new Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework to better track both quantitative and qualitative outcomes
Training all team members in data collection, analysis, and impact reporting to drive continuous learning and improvement
As we look to the future, this strategic plan will guide our efforts to create sustainable, meaningful change while staying true to our mission. We are grateful for the continued support from our partners, fundraisers, and the incredible individuals who believe in our work
