La course moto, c’est notre ADN. Dès 1969 nous nous sommes jetés dans l’arène de la compétition. Takayama, Mortimer, Pons, Baker, Agostini, Jacques, Costes, aujourd’hui Rabat, Lowes, Zarco, Di Meglio, Dunlop, Chareyre, le GMT94, et bien d’autres, sont l’expression la plus fervente de notre implication, de notre volonté de faire toujours plus.

En compétition, la panthère mord toujours. Et quelle meilleure façon de célébrer nos 45 ans que celle offerte par la combativité et le talent de nos pilotes ?

Cette année ce sont trois titres Mondiaux (Moto2, Endurance, Mondial Supermoto par équipes), quatre victoires au prestigieux Tourist Trophy et cinq titres nationaux (BSB Superstock 600 et 1000, CEV Superstock 600, France Moto3 et Moto3 Junior) qui viennent enrichir notre palmarès. Mais surtout renforcer notre fierté de protéger de tels champions, de la même manière que nous protégeons tout ceux qui montent sur une moto avec la panthère dans le dos.

Merci à eux, merci à vous. C’est à tous nos champions, ceux de la course comme ceux du quotidien, tous passionnés de moto, que nous dédions cette grande année et ce catalogue.

Racing is in our DNA. Since 1969, we have thrown ourselves into competition. Takayama, Mortimer, Pons, Baker, Agostini, Jacques, Costes, and today, Rabat, Lowes, Zarco, Di Meglio, Dunlop, Chareyre, Team GMT94 and many others have all trusted in Furygan leathers and they are the most passionate expression of our will to do “always more”. In the racing arena, the Panther still has sharp teeth. Is there a better way to celebrate our 45th anniversary than that offered by the fighting spirit talent of our racers ?

This year, our records have been bolstered even further with three World titles (Moto2, the Endurance World Championship and the Supermoto Nations), four more victories at the prestigious Isle of Man Tourist Trophy and five national titles (British Superstock 600 and 1000, CEV Superstock 600, French Moto3 and Junior Moto3). These victories are reinforcing how proud we are to protect such Champions, as well as protecting you and all those that are riding their motorcycle with the panther on their back. Thanks to them, thanks to you. This successfull year and this catalog are dedicated to all our champions, racing and everyday ones, because they are just as we are : passionate.

ALWAYS MORE PROTECTION* TOUJOURS PLUS DE PROTECTION

Tout de suite érigée au rang de spécialiste du cuir, présente en compétition au plus haut niveau Furygan a grandi tout en restant une entreprise française et familiale. Loin d’être un handicap, sa structure lui a permis d’appréhender avec succès les nouvelles matières, mais aussi les normes de sécurité les plus récentes en montant sa propre structure de recherche (le Motion Lab).

Tout en conservant son savoir-faire.

Car le travail artisanal reste une marque de fabrique. Toutes les peaux sont issues d’Amérique du Sud ou d’Italie. Elles sont utilisées pour la confection des blousons, combinaisons, pantalons et passent toujours par l’usine nîmoise. Elles y sont contrôlées et découpées. Si l’usine utilise des automates de découpe, beaucoup de pièces sont encore extraites à la main. Elles sont ensuite toutes contrôlées minutieusement à nouveau.

Ces éléments sont conditionnés avec les zips, pressions et tout les matériaux nécessaires à la réalisation du vêtement, puis envoyés dans une seconde usine de la marque, en Tunisie. L’un des rares pays qui dispose encore d’une grande tradition du travail du cuir.

Entre les deux sites la capacité maximale de production avoisine les 800 vêtements par semaine.

Le vêtement fini, il retourne en France, où il est repassé sur un mannequin vapeur, puis il est inspecté et équipé de ses protections.

Si un défaut apparaît le vêtement est repris, et la pièce changée au sein des ateliers nîmois de Furygan. Là où sont développés et confectionnés les prototypes, les combinaisons pilotes, et réparés les produits de nos clients. La sécurité des motards est l’un des fondamentaux de Furygan, tout comme leur look. La panthère ne badine pas avec les défauts.

Instantly recognised as a sharp leather specialist, involved in in racing even in the early stages of its life, Furygan has grown as a brand while still remaining a small, French family business. This structure has always been our strength and is has enabled us to successfully adopt and develop the birth of textile materials, as well as becoming a leader in safety standards. Furygan released the first entirely CE approved range, thanks to our internal research and development – the Motion Lab. Above all, we have retained our genuine know-how without loosing our roots. Craftsmanship is still one of our signatures. All the skins for our leather products come from South America or Italy and they are the raw material used to construct our jackets, pants and suits. Every single skin goes through our headquarters in Nîmes, France and is inspected millimetre by millimetre before being cut. We are equipped with high-tech cutting tables, however many pieces are still cut by hand. Every single piece is checked again before being shipped, along with zips, poppers and other parts, to be assembled at the Furygan factory in Tunisia – one of the few countries that retains its ancestral craftsmanship, know-how and tradition in leather work. Between the two factories, our production capability reaches 800 garments a week. When the stitching work is complete, the garment is returned to France, where it is ironed, inspected and fitted with protection. If a fault appears, the garment is immediately taken into our workshop – where the prototypes, repair work and pro racers suits are constructed – to be corrected. As well as their style, the safety of motorcyclists is one of the fundamentals of Furygan, so, the Panther takes defaults very seriously.
