INTRODUCTION
Our Story The French word “atelier� simply translates to workshop or studio, but for the two founding partners of Furniture Atelier, it represents so much more. Michael Cannock and Jessica Schwarz share a vision for approaching furniture fabrication differently, and in 2017, set out to make that vision a reality. Their focus was to become not only a leader in high quality craftsmanship, but to become a strategic partner in the design process; an elevated approach to typical practices of other well known Asian factories in the hospitality industry. As your partner, Furniture Atelier offers integrated and tailored solutions for each individual project. Our process incorporates: state of the art manufacturing facilities, a knowledgeable team of experts at the workshops overseeing product development and fabrication, and a dedicated team in the Toronto office managing and overseeing the successful completion of your project. FA is ready to tackle the most intimate spaces to large multi-room properties and custom furniture is where the evolution starts. We know creativity is an important part of the process for Ownership and Designers, and we want to ensure the space we create with you leaves a lasting impression on your end user. Design can begin with a simple

sketch in a notebook or inspiration from one’s surroundings and we know that inspiration has no boundaries. It is our responsibility to guide you through the process and ensure design intent is honoured whilst working closely with our furniture specialists to ensure the end piece is ergonomic and durable for hospitality use. The combination of finishes and textures is endless when designing custom furniture, we provide the canvas, you create the art. To ensure sound construction, our QC team consults with the workshop during the CAD drawing process before production begins. Our pre-production samples act as a prototype which requires approval sign off from the design team before production. We take all the necessary steps to instill confidence in what you have designed through our craftmanship.

Our Finishes Once control samples have been submitted for your project, our workshop will expertly match the finish for each application and provide samples to your design team for final signoff. We work closely with the designers throughout this finish approvals phase to ensure that their vision for each design comes to life. If your project is on a tight timeline we also offer a large selection of standard finishes to choose from to help speed up the approvals process, such as: wood, metal, quartz, leather and fabric.
