ONLINE Fundraising Training Workshops It’s getting harder than ever to raise money for nonprofits especially during the current pandemic so I‘m introducing my new affordable online Fundraising Training Workshops to provide practical assistance. These are different type of courses because they are being run throughout the year on a variety of topics and repeated for your choice of dates.

The live workshops start in May 2021 with an additional caltalogue update with new course topics available in June. Workshops run up to 90 minutes each including Q&A time and a short break half way through.

EVERY MONTH there are FREE courses on offer starting with Fundraising Basics in May, June and July.

Bequests and legacies are more important than ever yet so many nonprofits actually don’t ask supporters for them I have actual met many donors who have told me that they would consider a legacy to a particular charity but they had never been asked!

I have over 12 years experience in Gifts in Wills programs and I’ll show you the many no-cost or low cost ways to promote legacies. We’ll look at the different methods you can employ including an emphasis on DM, social media, video, donor events- live and virtual.

Gifts in Wills copywriting and language are unique and there are a few pitfalls to be aware of that we’ll highlight using real samples. If you don’t already have a Gifts in Wills program, this workshop will help you establish one.

If you’re new to fundraising, a member of a nonprofit board or maybe a volunteer helping out at a small charity, this session will give you an overview of the Fundraising Mix and how various activities work including appeals, social media, major gifts, gifts in Wills, virtual and live events, capital campaigns and regular giving. We’ll also talk about Moves Management and the old Donor Pyramid concept.

It’s far cheaper to retain a donor than acquire a new one.

Some nonprofits find that donor retention is one of their biggest problems and it usually is for most organisations. It’s and expensive exercise to acquire a new supporter and she may not give a second gift.

This workshop looks at a range of strategies to keep existing donors engaged and importantly keep them giving including upgrading their donation levels.

Appreciating your donors through GRATITUDE means not ignoring them, scheduling a series of touchpoints per year and not always asking for money. It’s also an opportunity to educate supporters about your wonderful work. We also look at your Lapsed Donor file and the strategies we can use to reactivate them.

Without acquiring new donors your charity starts to wither, so acquisition is a never-ending task and every avenue needs to be tested.

Every nonprofit has this same challenge, an ageing database with a growing list of Lapsed Donors.

While retention efforts can party stem the drop off of donors you are just treading water without acquiring new supporters through the year and every year. We’ll look at acquisition tools attract and show you the most effective way to do this is through campaigns to get people to sign-up online to your organisation. This workshop explores some very effective methods and uses actual campaigns to critique.

You can’t improve your fundraising results until you better understand what motivates your donor This workshop looks at the many motivational factors and triggers that influence how supporters make donation decisions and explore why they choose your organisation to support.

We’ll look at the tools you can use to understand your donors better including database analysis and CX customer research.

Using actual marketing examples we’ll explore the best methods to employ to increase donations through effective language (and words to avoid).

Many nonprofit newsletters fail when they can be improved relatively easily Printed or electronic Newsletters effectively promote your cause, engender continued support and raise funds through soft and direct asks. They are also another way to thank donors.

We’ll explore great storytelling by involving your supporter in your work.

From the front page to the donation form (many people don’t like cutting it out!) to using photographs effectively this is an action packed workshop.

We’ll discuss the essential elements and things to always avoid. This is an opportunity to revamp your Newsletter and double your donations.
