Dear Reader,

Message from Jurek Owsiak

Traditionally, we open our guide with our annual motto: “Let’s get to know each other.” We now have 33 years of activity of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity behind us. The first Grand Finale raised the equivalent of PLN 3,773,443.38 in today’s money. The most recent, the 33rd Grand Finale, closed with PLN 289,068,047.77. It is only when you place these two numbers side by side that you can truly see the incredible journey our Foundation has travelled - a journey that has secured WOŚP its lasting place in the life of contemporary, modern Poland. Each successive Grand Finale - the second, the third, the fifteenth, the thirtieth - showed that consistency in our actions brings fantastic results. Each Grand Finale means funds raised not only for medical equipment, but also for running year-round medical programmes that we call nationwide programmes, because they reach the entire population the programme is aimed at. Today, we are no longer speaking only about the youngest - we confidently speak about Poles of all age groups, as each has been the focus of one of our Grand Finales.

As every year, this guide contains a compact compendium of knowledge about what we do. In all statistics, figures or key medical data, we indicate the date of their most recent documentation - and we do so consciously, because these numbers change almost every day. There is not a single week - and there are 52 of them in a year - in which some medical facility does not receive equipment from our Foundation. This results from our purchasing plans, known as Open Tenders, and their execution. It is no longer a dozen or so devices, as after the first Grand Finale, but hundreds - and sometimes even several thousand - devices bought throughout the year.

This guide is also a knowledge base for everyone who wants to dispel any doubts or find answers to any questions about the Foundation. During the Grand Finale, nearly 1,700 Collection Centres operate. It is primarily for them that we prepare this guide, so that up-to-date information is always within easy reach for anyone interested in the Foundation’s work.

This guide is also an invitation to all those who wish to work with us actively throughout the year. First aid training for teachers, Peace Patrol training, participation in our major events - the Grand Finale and the Most Beautiful Festival in the World - offer everyone an opportunity to reveal their organisational talents and satisfy their desire to act with others for others. Ultimately, they also allow you to gain concrete and essential knowledge and skills, including first aid. Remember that we keep playing all year round - and you can meet us in many different places, along with those who represent us, teaching others how to help. After all, we’ve been saying it for a long time now: helping is child’s play!

The 34th Grand Finale

The aim of the 34th Grand Finale of WOŚP is to support children with gastrointestinal diseases.

This means real support for around 1.2–1.5 million children suffering from gastroenterological conditions.

We are guided by the motto: Healthy tummies for our children.

Why have we decided to support this area of medicine?

Paediatric gastroenterology in Poland is a specialisation facing numerous challenges – both in diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive system. The growing number of patients and the need for modern equipment – essential for improving treatment outcomes, especially for those requiring surgical intervention –remain significant issues.

Gastrointestinal diseases in children – such as coeliac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, gastro-oesophageal reflux, and other conditions of the oesophagus and stomach, severe food allergies, pancreatic and liver diseases, as well as functional disorders (e.g. irritable bowel syndrome) – are becoming increasingly common.

About the Grand Finale fundraiser

The Grand Finale is a one-day public charitable fundraiser, which traditionally takes place on a Sunday in January. Our charitable collection is held internationally, and it is run by the local hubs of activity – Collection Centres.

1,700 Collection Centres organise the work of 120,000 volunteers. Our charitable Orchestra „plays” across the world: in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, across Europe and Asia, in Africa, the Americas, on board of Polish ships, and even at the North and South Pole research stations!

Since 1993, Grand Finale fundraiser is held in aid of a specific medical objective. Our main goal is to support Polish public hospitals and purchase modern medical equipment.

Benefactors can support the effort by putting money in the Collection Boxes, setting up an eCollection Box, making online and mobile transfers.

The Grand Finale inspires people to volunteer and becomes an opportunity to engage in social activism. It is a way for communities to bond and for people to take up action. Each Grand Finale fundraiser is a grassroots initiative, organised by local activists and relying on local resources. Even though each Grand Finale is different, there are some standard features of each event. A key part of the Finale that has sparked great interest for years is the Allegro Auctions for WOŚP, through which anyone can list something of their own or bid on unique items or experiences.

The Auction of the Most Generous Benefactors – full of excitement – also attracts enormous attention, offering the chance to win Gold Hearts and Gold Phone Cards. A fixed element of the Finale is the “Get Even with Diabetes Run”, Policz się z cukrzycą – participants can join the run in Warsaw or take part in the virtual edition anywhere on Earth. One of the highlights of the day is a firework display or its alternative – the so called “Light to the Sky”, that is sending a special signal to the good angels, and stands for a symbol of hope.

Volunteers

Volunteers are the driving force of our initiative. Around 120,000 people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs contribute their time, energy and enthusiasm to create the most vibrant and inspiring fundraiser in the country.

Everyone is welcome to join, and we are delighted that so many volunteers return each year to “play” with us. Many bring along family members and friends, who also become part of the initiative. Our oldest volunteer was well over ninety, while the youngest was just a few months old.

Everyone can give as much time and effort as they are able. You may become one of the core members of a Collection Centre team, helping to organise the entire local event, or join the group fundraising on the day of the Grand Finale.

Volunteering with us is simple and enjoyable – all are welcome. The best way to learn more is to contact your local Collection Centre, as every Grand Finale looks a little different.

Our Mission

There are few non-governmental initiatives which have helped shape the social landscape of a country in the way that the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has influenced Poland.

Our charity, established by Jurek Owsiak, has been working since 1993 and it grew to be one of the best-known charities in the country. Our work is now synonymous with charity, voluntary service and social involvement for citizens of Poland and Polish community overseas.

We work to improve the conditions at public hospitals in Poland, mainly focusing on different branches of paediatrics.

In 33 Grand Finale The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has raised over PLN 2.6 billion. We purchased nearly 81,000 pieces of medical equipment such as CT scanners, incubators, surgery and rehabilitation equipment, medical devices for oncology wards and equipment such as hospital beds and other furniture.

We aim to buy only the best, most advanced medical devices to ensure that all children in Poland have access to the top-quality medical care.

The charity has initiated, financed, and helped run eight medical projects, which systematically transform Polish medicine. The GOCC Foundation also promotes first aid and CPR knowledge by running an educational initiative. We introduced CPR training to over 3,000,000 children from primary schools across the country.

We are recognised by medical communities, social movements and the public relations industry. Just in the past year, we have received, among others, the Pro Bono Humanum award – a special distinction in the Prix Galien competition, considered the most important honour in medicine and pharmacy after the Nobel Prize – and we took first place in the Charitable Projects category of the Top Marka ranking (the largest and unique nationwide study covering 500 brands across 50 sectors!).

In July 2025, we took part in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka!

Local Initiative – Global Impact

Millions of people across Poland take part in the Finale, but the initiative has been happening beyond our country’s borders almost from the very beginning – thanks to the Orchestra’s supporters who become true ambassadors of WOŚP!

Our initiative first went international in 1993, when a group of amazing enthusiasts from New York City decided to hold the first-ever Grand Finale fundraiser outside of Poland. The Polish community in the US raised money during a fantastic rock’n’roll concert at the Cricket Club.

During the 33rd Finale, out of 1,686 registered Collection Centres, as many as 93 operated outside Poland. The Orchestra resonates around the world – news about the Finale and the WOŚP Foundation has reached, among others, Australia, Indonesia, Serbia and even the Henryk Arctowski Polish Antarctic Station!

Opportunities to exchange experiences on organising Finales in different countries include meetings of representatives of international Collection Centres – among them the annual gatherings held in the spring. The most recent event, the 7th International Collection Centres Gathering, took place in France.

Even though our main objective has always been supporting Polish public healthcare, and Polish ex-pat community is the main driving force behind the fundraiser, the Grand Finale is an excellent addition to a community calendar. First and foremost, it is a great way to meet new people, experience Polish culture and strengthen a vibrant, diverse community. Grand Finale events become a showcase for Polish music, cuisine, and hospitality. With a thousand different events, such as raffles, concerts, competitions, and sporting activities taking place across the globe, everyone can find something to fit their taste.

Collection Centre

Our charity event is built on local engagement. We empower local activists to take the lead in organising the fundraiser in their area. We supply the essentials – Collection Boxes, promotional materials and ID badges – and each year we are amazed by the creativity and ingenuity of our volunteers.

Local organisers form Collection Centres which, besides recruiting volunteers and running the one-day public collection, become lively hubs for community activity. Their teams go the extra mile: they put on concerts, host parties, organise cook-outs, raffles, fairs, sports events and many other fun, surprising and extraordinary initiatives. Local Grand Finales help draw attention to the cause and inspire support both locally and across the country.

Nearly 1,700 Collection Centres register each year, including almost one hundred operating abroad.

Thank you and keep rocking!

On the day of the Grand Finale

Every volunteer should carry their ID badge, Collection Box and plenty of heart stickers. Volunteers can collect donations in public spaces and at various fundraising events. In return for a contribution, donors receive a sticker shaped like our iconic heart logo. Everyone in Poland recognises this symbol.

How to support our mission?

Your donations have the power to change the conditions at public hospitals in Poland!

Apart from dropping money into the Collection Box on the day of the Grand Finale, you can donate online, on our website, or send a direct money transfer to our account. Benefactors paying taxes in Poland can also choose our charity as recipients of 1.5 % of their tax. All proceeds made from the sale of our merchandise in SiemaShop go towards funding the running of our charity.

Another exciting form of supporting the annual fundraiser is taking part in online auctions: AUKCJE.WOSP.ORG.PL

Everyone can take part – you can donate something of your own or bid on items and services offered by others. During last year’s Grand Finale, some of the most popular listings included a film marathon with Dawid Podsiadło, a Kashubian-style breakfast with Donald Tusk and a tennis racket and ball signed by Rafael Nadal.

In the run-up to the Finale, hundreds of thousands of auctions appear on the platform. The auctions of the 33rd Grand Finale raised a total of PLN 32,404,154. Over 25 years of playing together with Allegro, we have collected nearly PLN 247 million to support the aims of successive Grand Finales.

Corporate Support

Local Collection Centres are entirely grassroots initiatives – we do not fund local events, fundraising activities or any operational costs. Each Collection Centre has different needs, and there are many ways your company can support volunteers. Contributing to such a well-known charitable initiative can strengthen your company’s image and promote your products or services within the community.

It is important to note that funds raised for the Grand Finale must not be used to cover event costs – all donations go exclusively to the medical objective of the Grand Finale. If your company can offer support – whether material, financial or pro bono services – please contact your local Collection Centre.

Auction of the Most Generous Benefactors

An important part of every Grand Finale is the Auction of the Most Generous Benefactors, in which the prizes include Gold Hearts made from gold donated to volunteers’ Collection Boxes during previous Grand Finales, and Gold Phone Cards produced for us by PLAY. The final stage of the auction takes place live during the Grand Finale TV broadcast.

During the 33rd Grand Finale, Gold Heart No. 1 was won by the Robert Dobrzycki Foundation, which offered a record-breaking PLN 1,300,000. This was an absolutely exceptional Heart – it travelled to the International Space Station together with the Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski!

Gold Phone Card No. 1 went to the Lellek Pomaga Foundation, which bid PLN 100,000.

LICYTACJE.WOSP.ORG.PL

What did we achieve for paediatric oncology and haematology during the 33rd Grand Finale?

Paediatric oncology and haematology were the focus of the 33rd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, during which we raised PLN 289,068,047.77.

Cancer is the second most common cause of death among children in Poland, after accidents. Each year, around 1,100 children are diagnosed with cancer, and approximately 3,000 remain in intensive treatment. Thanks to advances in oncology, the cure rate now exceeds 80%, placing Poland on par with Western Europe and the United States.

Treating childhood cancer, however, requires significant investment in both medical equipment and diagnostics. By November 2025, we had carried out three Calls for Tenders, purchasing 3,135 devices worth a total of PLN 81,777,766.50. These include intraoperative ultrasound machines, electrocoagulation equipment and a robotic arm for navigated brain biopsies*.

Our Finances and Accountability

Fundraising practices

The Foundation, in addition to the funds raised during each annual Grand Finale, also receives year-round donations from individuals and companies, support from sponsors, and – as a public benefit organisation – proceeds from the 1.5% tax donation scheme.

All funds raised during each Grand Finale, after deducting the organisational costs of the collection, are fully allocated to the aim of that Finale – the purchase of medical equipment, the running of medical and educational programmes and individual assistance.

Financial reports and transparency

We announce the final amount raised during each Grand Finale in March.

Next, requests submitted by hospitals – relating to the aim of the Grand Finale – are reviewed. Medical facilities receive questionnaires allowing for a detailed assessment of their needs and the justification of their requests, followed by consultations with medical experts. This process may take from several weeks to several months, depending on the quantity and type of equipment required. Once the needs have been analysed and a list of medical devices has been prepared, we proceed to Open Tenders, after which contracts are signed and implemented.

After completing the contracts and closing the financial year, we submit a report to the Ministry of the Interior and Administration on the funds allocated to date. This report includes detailed information on expenditure, broken down by Finale theme and the Foundation’s ongoing programmes.

Each year, the Foundation publishes comprehensive financial and activity reports, as well as detailed statements showing how the funds from each Grand Finale have been spent. Reports and financial statements can be found at: ROZLICZENIA.WOSP.ORG.PL

Equipment Purchases

The Foundation purchases hospital equipment through its own procedure called the Open Tenders – a process that differs significantly from standard public-sector procurement. We have already carried out more than 80 such Open Tenders.

Each process involves medical experts – practitioners in the relevant field – who help prepare detailed specifications and take part in negotiations, analysing and, where possible, testing the equipment on offer.

Every device is assessed three times: the first stage is an initial presentation, the second clarifies technical details, and the third focuses on negotiating the unit price.

The aim is always to choose the highest-quality equipment –reliable in everyday hospital use and capable of providing the most accurate medical data to support patient care.

A hallmark of WOŚP’s Open Tenders is exceptionally strong negotiation – final prices are often significantly, sometimes even dozens of per cent, lower than market averages.

Payment is made only after installation and staff training. Deliveries take place almost every day, and all equipment is donated directly to medical facilities.

Our medical initiatives

en.wosp.org.pl/medycyna/programy

Nationwide Programme for Treatment and Prevention of Retinopathy of Prematurity

The Programme was launched in 2001. Its aim is rapid diagnosis and treatment of vision problems in newborns whose retinas were damaged due to premature birth. We equipped 21 specialised laser centres with devices such as ophthalmoscopes and diode lasers for retinal photocoagulation.

Nationwide Programme for New-born Hearing Screening

We launched this initiative in 2002. Every baby born in Poland is screened to ensure their hearing is developing properly. By mid-November 2025, we had tested 7,844,636 children. Examinations are carried out in 369 first-level centres and 97 second- and third-level centres across the country.

Nationwide Programme for Non-invasive Respiratory Support of New-borns

We started this programme launched in 2003. It aims to replace invasive ventilation methods for newborns with safer alternatives. We equipped neonatal and neonatal intensive care units with 998 specialist devices enabling non-invasive breathing support for the youngest patients. In total, we have spent nearly PLN 78 million on this programme.

Nationwide Programme for Early CancerDiagnosis in Children

The programme began in 2009. We provided major paediatric oncology centres in Poland with highly specialised equipment, including CT scanners. Our largest purchase was an ultra-modern, child-dedicated digital PET-CT scanner – the only one of its kind in Poland – for the Children’s Memorial Health Institute. As genetic testing is crucial for cancer diagnostics and treatment, in 2016 we supported the establishment of the WOŚP ONCOLAB Central Genetic Laboratory in Łódź and the Genetic Diagnostics Laboratory in Lublin.

Nationwide Programme for Treating Limb Defects in Children

The programme was launched in 2017. For children with orthopaedic conditions, we purchased essential high-specialisation equipment for two leading paediatric orthopaedic clinics – in Poznań and Otwock. Key actions included equipping the Poznań orthopaedic hospital with a gait diagnostics and training system, and the hospital in Zagórze with a system for gait re-education and upper-limb rehabilitation. Altogether, we have purchased 59 devices, worth over PLN 25 million.

Programme for Paediatric Rheumatic Diseases Diagnostics

We launched this initiative in 2019. Its goal is to provide children across Poland with access to modern diagnostics for rheumatic diseases. For 28 specialised centres, we purchased 68 devices – including high-quality low-field MRI scanners, densitometers and specialist ultrasound machines – with a total value of nearly PLN 22 million.

Nationwide Programme for Personal Insulin Pump Treatment of Pregnant Women with Diabetes

This initiative was launched in 2004. Its aim is to ensure a safe, calm and healthy pregnancy for women living with diabetes. In nearly 40 centres across Poland, patients can borrow an insulin pump free of charge and receive comprehensive medical care. Over 21 years, we have purchased 2,052 pumps. The programme is available to women diagnosed with type 1, type 2 and MODY diabetes.

Nationwide Programme for Personal Insulin Pump Treatment of Children with Diabetes

The programme ran from 2001 to 2008.During this period, we purchased insulin pumps giving children the chance for a more active and manageable life with diabetes. We funded 2,978 personal insulin pumps for children aged 0–10.

Love Heals

One of the critical factors in a child’s treatment and recovery is emotional comfort, stability, and stress-free environment and that’s why parents, guardians and loved ones need to be present by the little patient’s bedside.

This initiative began in 2017, when a photo of Ms Anita – sleeping on the floor beneath her 18-month-old son’s hospital cot – spread across Poland. The image highlighted a serious problem in many paediatric wards: the lack of any facilities for parents wishing to stay with their hospitalised child. We decided it was time to change that. Since then, the GOCC Foundation has purchased 6,421 fold-out beds and chairs for parents, at a total cost of over PLN 13 million.

*Data as of November 2025

We help individuals with disabilities

Even though our main focus is on purchasing medical equipment for Polish hospitals, we could not stay indifferent to the needs of individuals.

Since 2005, the GOCC Foundation has also been supporting individual beneficiaries. We help children and young people with disabilities up to the age of 26. As part of this support, we purchase equipment for home rehabilitation. Since 2005, the Foundation has assisted 8,647 children and young people with disabilities, spending PLN 35,398,985.32 on this programme.

*Data as of November 2025

Get Even with Diabetes initiative

Diabetes is one of the most common lifestyle diseases – often described as an epidemic of the 21st century. It affects people of all ages and in every part of the world. According to WHO data, around 830 million people live with diabetes globally. In Poland, approximately 3 million people are affected, and worrying forecasts suggest that by 2030 every tenth Pole may be living with the condition. Diabetes develops gradually, and many people remain unaware of its presence. Fortunately, with proper treatment and lifestyle changes – including regular physical activity and a healthy diet – it is entirely possible to lead a normal life.

Charitable run

Since 2007, we have been organising the “Get Even with Diabetes” Run, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The run is fully charitable –all funds collected through starter packs are used to purchase insulin pumps for pregnant women diagnosed with diabetes. In recent years, the event has also been held in a virtual format, enabling anyone to participate regardless of location.

During the 33rd Grand Finale, 15,000 people took part in both formats – the in-person run through the streets of Warsaw and the virtual edition. Virtual runners alone covered a total of 41,180 kilometres.

To date, thanks to the “Get Even with Diabetes” Runs, we have purchased 456 insulin pumps for pregnant women with diabetes. These purchases are part of one of our medical programmes – the Programme for Providing Personal Insulin Pumps to Pregnant Women with Diabetes.

All information about the run is available at: BIEG.WOSP.ORG.PL

To further support people with diabetes, the Foundation created the “Get Even with Diabetes” labelling initiative. The idea is to place carbohydrate and protein-fat exchange information on food packaging. Our aim is for every product to feature the “Get Even with Diabetes” symbol alongside essential nutritional details for people living with diabetes. All food producers are invited to join the initiative.

CPR for Schools Programme

FIRST AID – CHILD’S PLAY!

In April 2006, we launched the educational programme CPR for Schools. Through this initiative, teachers across Poland learn the essentials of first aid and then pass this knowledge on to their pupils. These classes help children gain confidence in their abilities and encourage them to take action – saving a life becomes something natural and obvious to them.

So far, the programme has trained 32,880 teachers from 13,331 primary schools across Poland. More than 3 million children have learned the basics of first aid.*

What does the training look like?

Each training session includes several hours of theory and practical exercises covering the key steps in first aid – checking responsiveness and breathing, calling for help, placing someone in the recovery position, performing CPR, and understanding the chain of survival.

A free programme

Participation is completely free for schools – all costs are covered by the GOCC Foundation. Each school receives educational materials at no charge, including pupil textbooks, teaching boards, cardboard phones and training manikins.

All classes are delivered by WOŚP instructors certified by the American Heart Association.

First aid in the national curriculum

For many years, the GOCC Foundation advocated for first aid to become a standard part of school education. Starting from the 2024/2025 school year, thanks to a regulation by the Minister of National Education, Barbara Nowacka, first aid lessons are now an integral part of the curriculum in grades I–III of all Polish primary schools.

Data as of November 2025.

First Aid Record & CPR for Schools Competition

The programme is supported by numerous activities that promote first aid, including the First Aid Record, held annually on 16 October to mark European Restart a Heart Day.

The 2025 edition broke all previous records – 170,478 participants from 1,448 institutions took part. The central hub of the event, from which Jurek Owsiak reported live online, was Primary School No. 404 in Warsaw, which proudly bears the name of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

Another way of promoting first aid is the nationwide CPR for Schools Competition, open to all primary schools participating in the programme. The final takes the form of a city game in Warsaw, with teams visiting iconic locations – in the most recent edition this included the Ministry of Development and Technology.

Fighting crises

We aim to go far beyond supporting medicine in Poland, which is why over the years we have engaged in numerous humanitarian and medical initiatives.

After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we decided to address the shortage of medical equipment, especially regarding protective equipment for frontline medical staff. In November 2021 we opened the Humanitarian Aid Point in Michałowo in response to the dramatic situation at the Polish-Belarusian border. We also took immediate action after Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine and purchased medical equipment for our neighbours. We bought devices and disposables for Ukrainian hospitals as well as Polish medical facilities admitting refugees. In February 2023, together with Castorama Poland, we realised aid for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. We delivered 1,396 units of convectors and heaters to the country that facing the disaster.

Flood – Help initiative

In the autumn of 2024, when a natural disaster struck the southern part of the country, the Foundation immediately sprang into action. We couldn’t remain indifferent to the devastating effects of the flood.

We used Foundation’s resources to purchase the most urgently needed items in the immediate aftermath. In collaboration with the Crisis Management Centre, we carefully planned our response. We also launched a fundraising campaign to support emergency aid and cover the cost of essential equipment and medical supplies, while also accepting in-kind donations.

Our partners, including the brands involved in organising the Grand Finale, quickly rallied to our cause. They not only provided financial support but also assisted with logistics, such as organising food deliveries.

We focused on providing sanitary facilities in Lądek-Zdrój and Stronie Śląskie, funding the installation of showers, toilets, and laundry services for those affected by the disaster. Additionally, we set up a Peace Patrol Point in Lądek-Zdrój, where our dedicated volunteers were on the ground, working tirelessly to clear debris and help those in need.

By the end of September 2025, we allocated PLN 49,685,828.30 to flood-related relief efforts.

Thank you to everyone who supported our work – whether by contributing to the public fundraiser or by helping on the ground!

Peace Patrol is open to everyone willing to meet new people, learn new skills, and embark on an adventure of a lifetime. To become a festival steward and join the Patrol, you must first take part in a weekend training in our volunteer service centre in Szadowo-Młyn.

GOCC Landmarks Across the Country

We’re very happy and honoured to hear that local communities decide to commemorate our organization and values by officially giving different locations our name. By the end of September 2025, 97 sites commemorating the work of the WOŚP Foundation had been officially recognised*. These WOŚP-named places include roundabouts, hospital wards, squares and parks – as well as bridges, murals, tourist trails and even educational institutions.

*data as of September 2025 Cities with the GOCC landmarks: WOŚP-named locations can now be found across the entire country – from major cities such as Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław and Łódź to smaller towns and local communities including Barczewo, Gogolin, Jabłonowo Pomorskie, Myślibórz, Resko and Trzcianka. Each place has its own story, yet all share a common theme – gratitude for the Orchestra’s long-standing support for Polish medicine, its help for the youngest and the oldest, and its role in protecting health and saving lives.

The Most Beautiful Festival in the World

Pol’and’Rock Festival, lovingly referred to by its audience as the Most Beautiful Festival in the World, is our way of saying thank you for the Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. It is a multi-day, non-ticketed gathering held in a spirit of friendship and tolerance. Participants can enjoy dozens of concerts, meetings with guests of the Academy of the Finest of Arts, activities run by NGOs and attractions prepared by our partners.

The 31st Pol’and’Rock Festival – the fourth edition held at the Czaplinek-Broczyno Airfield in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship – brought us together in a stunning natural setting with the Most Beautiful Audience in the World. In an atmosphere full of respect and kindness, we spent several unforgettable days together.

The event featured nearly 50 concerts by artists from Poland and abroad, all streamed online as well. Performers included Royal Republic, Paradise Lost, Hanabie., Fisz Emade Tworzywo, Mrozu and Nocny Kochanek. As always, the line-up included the winner of the Golden Spinning Top award (this time – Ich Troje), i.e. our audience’s award, as well as the winners of the Festival Emerging Bands Competition.

Festival-goers could also take part in activities prepared by NGOs – this year, 126 organisations operated within the Academy of the Finest of Arts. Thanks to their involvement, Pol’and’Rock Festival is not just a music event but a unique meeting space that helps foster and educate an active civil society.

The 32nd Pol’and’Rock Festival will take place from 30 July to 1 August 2026

Why is Pol’and’Rock Festival exceptional?

You bring your loved ones! We are delighted that so many of you come as whole families!

We cater for different needs! We make sure everyone feels welcome – for festivalgoers with disabilities we prepare a dedicated platform with a view of the Main Stage, as well as accessible toilets and adapted shower facilities. It is also tradition that all meetings at the Academy of the Finest Arts (ASP) are interpreted into Polish Sign Language.

It’s not just about fun! Pol’and’Rock offers an incredible amount of joy, but we also make space for important discussions at the ASP and for learning skills that save lives, such as first aid.

A city built in a matter of weeks! The festival takes place at the Czaplinek–Broczyno airfield. The entire infrastructure is built over several weeks – not only the stages and partner zones, but even a festival supermarket and a full-scale, multi-specialty field hospital.

A stage open to everyone! For many artists, performing at the Most Beautiful Festival in the World is a dream come true. Some quite literally win this opportunity by taking part in our competition for emerging bands – the Eliminations. Another tradition is the Golden Spinning Top, a poll in which the audience votes for the best performers of the previous edition.

Moments we never forget. There are traditions that Pol’and’Rock wouldn’t be the same without – pinning plaques with the names of towns and villages you come from onto the Main Stage; the official opening whistle blown by Roman Polański (sic!), the last stationmaster of Żary; or the solemn moment when a giant sector banner is unfurled above the crowd during the W Hour remembrance. And of course, the unforgettable festival weddings – is there a more magical place to say “I DO”?

Why do you love this Festival? We checked! According to research conducted in 2024, the Festival’s greatest strengths are its atmosphere (48%) and the music (43%). People keep coming back – 7 in 10 surveyed participants had attended Pol’and’Rock before, and nearly one-third had been six times or more!*

Many artists eagerly become part of the GOCC Foundation community, surprising us with their creativity and generosity. We’ve even seen While She Sleeps donate a guitar!
