The Student Portal is your gateway to all things FSW and gives you access to many resources including: • important announcements • FSW email • online courses • financial aid information • holds that may prevent class registration • FSW calendars

Learn More About Your FSW Student Portal www.fsw.edu/training/studentportal Check Your FSW Email After you have set up your FSW Student Portal at my.fsw.edu, you will be able to access your FSW Email. FSW will communicate with you throughout your time as a Buccaneer at this email address.

Attend an Orientation & Advising Session First Time in College Students As a first time in college* student, you will receive an email to register for a required Orientation & Advising Session once you have followed the steps outlined in “Before You Attend an Orientation & Advising Session” below. This session is designed to: • introduce you to FSW and the resources available to you • help you select courses to take in your first semester • walk you through registering for classes *First time in college includes incoming freshmen and any graduating high school senior

Before You Attend an Orientation & Advising Session

• Set up your FSW Student Portal at my.fsw.edu ○ Inside your Student Portal, click the “Student Academics” tab followed by “View Holds.” ○ This page shows a list of your registration requirements known as “holds.” ○ You will need to resolve any holds other than Orientation & Advising before you will receive the email with a private link to register for the Session. Any Orientation or Advising holds will be resolved at the Session.

To receive the email to register for the Orientation & Advising Session, you must resolve any existing holds.

Transfer Students As a transfer student, you are required to meet with an Academic Advisor but do not need to attend an Orientation & Advising Session. Please follow the steps for “Before You Attend an Orientation & Advising Session” (above) and resolve any holds before you call to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor.
