We’ve tried many over the years and some have suited our needs well. We have found our answer at Turneffe Flats Lodge. Today, TFL offers not only great flats fishing for all the species – bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook - etc., but also a variety of superb accommodations and non-angling activities. Bonefish and permit are the primary targets at Turneffe Flats with expansive flats for wading and plenty of opportunities for larger bonefish. Permit may be found on the flats and bars throughout the atoll and anglers wade or fish from a skiff. Tarpon inhabit the creeks, channels and lagoons of the atoll and come in all sizes. Anglers enjoy fishing from comfortable 16-foot Dolphin Superskiffs custom built in the U.S. Non-anglers can enjoy snorkeling, diving, kayaking, or reading and relaxing at the infinity pool and lounging deck. Or perhaps they can take a Belizean cooking class with one of the cooks in the kitchen, do an introduction to diving course, or enjoy listening to Head Atoll Adventure Guide, Abel Coe, a Kekchi Mayan, explain the history of the Mayan in Belize. On Wednesdays, guests can arrange to visit a Mayan site or the Belize Zoo. There is lots to do! Craig and Karen Hayes have had TFL for more than three decades and no one knows this atoll better than these two remarkable people. What to Expect
• Turneffe Atoll is the largest of only four coral atolls in the Western Hemisphere. As the most biologically-diverse atoll in the Caribbean, Turneffe Flats is a truly incredible place. • Guests are accommodated in comfortable and spacious airconditioned beach front cabanas or villas, each with breathtaking views of the Caribbean. • Begin your day, stalking bonefish wading the flats, or chasing permit from the front of the boat. Tarpon are also part of the lineup at Turneffe Flats. Don’t forget the reef fishing opportunities for jacks, snapper, barracuda and much, much more!

Proposed Itinerary for Turneffe Flats Lodge October 17-24, 2020
Saturday, October 17
Arrive at Turneffe Flats Lodge. Enjoy dinner and overnight in your Lodge accommodations.
Sunday, October 18 - Friday, October 23
Enjoy six full days of guided fishing. Breakfast is between 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. Enjoy a morning of guided fishing and return to Lodge for a home cooked lunch between 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Head out for an afternoon of guided fishing on comfortable 16 ft. dolphin skiffs. Bonefish, permit and baby tarpon are the mainstay of the fishing at Turneffe Flats. Return back to the Lodge in plenty of time for a swim in the pool, nap and to freshen up for cocktails at 6:15 p.m. and dinner served at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 24
Depart the Lodge mid-morning by boat transfer back to the mainland for your return flights back to the United States.

Delta, one of our preferred carriers to Belize offers non-stop service daily between Atlanta to Belize City which is an easy choice with an extensive route network within the United States. In addition, American Airlines offers daily nonstop flights to Belize City through Dallas and Miami and United Airlines offers daily nonstop flights from Houston. Contact our air department to coordinate your flight needs.
Inclusions: Accommodations, all meals, land and sea transfers to/from the airport to the lodge, guiding for scheduled packages (fishing or diving, or Atoll), air conditioning, Belize VAT tax, Belize GST taxes.
