What to expect

Reel Action Alaska operates as a full service tent lodge that has been designed to provide guests with all the comforts needed for living in the bush. The best holding water to fly fish for fresh run kings, silvers, chums, and pinks is right in front of the lodge. What makes the experience unique is while having the best access to chrome bright salmon action theres also a tremendous rainbow trout fishery in both the lower and upper river. You will have access to the Kanektok River, the Arolik River and the Togiak Refuge.

The Kanektok River is one of the best rivers in the world for having a huge variety of beautiful, aggressive fish, combined with a huge variety of fly-fishing water (main river, small stream channels, gravel bars, spey/ swinging water, drift boat water). The river has some of the best mousing for rainbow trout and dollies in Alaska.

The Arolik river has been added to the 2024 rotation. It runs parallel to the Kanektok with about half the size and flow. The Arolik has all the same species.

ITINERARY

JUNE 27, arrive IN ANCHORAGE

Today, you will fly from your home city to Anchorage. Upon arrival in Anchorage, proceed to a recommended hotel for an overnight stay.

Note: Frontiers welcomes the opportunity to book your airline reservations and hotel accommodations in Anchorage.

JUNE 28, Arrive at reel action alaska lodge

After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and proceed to the Anchorage International Airport for your commercial flight to Bethel.

Anchorage to Bethel via Alaska Airlines Flt. #43:

Depart 10:25 AM – Arrive 11:45 AM* *flight times subject to change.

Upon arrival in Bethel, collect your bags and there is courtesy shuttle to meet your scheduled Grant Air charter flight to the village of Quinhagak. Please go directly to the Grant Air terminal and check in. This flight is approximately $650.00 roundtrip (2023 price) arranged by the outfitter. 2024 rates will be announced soon. You may pay directly with at the charter terminal via credit card or cash. You will be met at the airport in Quinhagak and transferred directly to the camp via boat. All tent accommodations are single occupancy for your stay at Reel Action Alaska Lodge. You will share a boat with your partner of another guest for the week.

June 29 - July 04, Six full days of FISHING.

July 05, depart reel action alaska lodge

After breakfast, you will return to Bethel via Quinhagak on Grant Air. Proceed to check in for your flight back to Anchorage.

Bethel to Anchorage via Alaska Airlines Flt. #44:

Depart 12:45 PM – Arrive 2:00 PM* *flight times subject to change.

Note: Most flights back to the Lower 48 will depart this evening or you may elect to spend another night in Anchorage. Please do not book departing flights until after 6 PM in the event of weather in Quinhagak or Bethel.

Fishing

The Kanektok River is one of the best rivers in the world for having a huge variety of beautiful, aggressive fish, combined with a huge variety of fly-fishing water.The Arolik river has been added to the 2024 rotation. It runs parallel to the Kanektok with about half the size and flow. Fish the Kanektok for 3 days, the Arolik for 2 days, and fish 1 day in the exclusive Togiak Refuge. Come back to lodge for a shower and appetizers before a wonderful evening dinner. Continued overnights at the lodge.

Fishing Package

RATES : Fishing Package $7,500.00 per person.

INCLUSIONS : Round-trip transportation between Quinhagak and the lodge, six full days guided fishing in shared boat (2 guests – 1 guide), fishing equipment if required (rods/reels/terminal tackle/flies), all meals, accommodations based on single occupancy (couples tent cabins available), USB drive of pictures and videos from your trip, Wi-Fi and phone service.

EXCLUSIONS : Round-trip transportation between your home city and Quinhagak, AK. Accommodations in Anchorage. Alaska Airlines flight from Anchorage to Bethel. Grant Air flight from Bethel to Quinhagak (appx. $650.00 roundtrip). Fishing license, waders, and boots. Gratuities and items of a personal nature.

NOTE: Reel Action is a catch and release only fishing lodge. That includes Salmon as well as native species.
