CALLED TO PRAY | PRAYER GUIDE
As we look to the frontier—the peoples and places still waiting to hear the Good News of Jesus—God invites us to partner with Him in prayer. When we pray, asking according to His will, we have confidence that God hears us (1 John 5:14-15). Hearts are transformed, closed doors are opened, rigid mindsets become flexible, spiritual obstacles are cleared, insights emerge, creativity flows and the impossible becomes possible. Jesus encourages us to ask anything in His name and expect that He will act (John 14:14).
PRAY FOR THE FRONTIER
Frontier Fellowship invites you to join us in intentional prayer for the frontier using this specially designed prayer guide. Each day of the week’s rotation features a different prayer prompt and Scripture reference to inform our prayers for the world’s leastreached peoples and places.
As it was in the days of Acts, may we, too, be united as a “fellowship of believers” (Acts 2:42-47).
SUNDAYS
“ Prayer needs no passport, visa or work permit. There is no such thing as a ‘closed country’ as far as prayer is concerned…. Much of the history of mission could be written in terms of God moving in response to persistent prayer.”
—Stephen Gaukroger

PRAY FOR: ACCESS
Ask God to open avenues of access—spiritual, mental, emotional, geographic, linguistic and political—to people and places that remain hidden or blocked from the Gospel message. Pray for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
+ Pray that God will remove any barriers that may prevent His Word from reaching every corner of the world, especially in regions and contexts where sharing about Jesus and practicing Christian faith face significant obstacles.
+ Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts and minds of those who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus. Pray that they may have a spirit of openness and receptivity.
+ Pray for ongoing Bible translation efforts to continue unimpeded. Pray that new translation projects will begin among people groups currently without access to God’s Word.
“ We never know how God will answer prayers, but we can expect that he will get us involved in his plan for the answer. If we are true intercessors, we must be ready to take part in God’s work on behalf of the people for whom we pray.”
—Corrie Ten Boom

+ Ask God to equip more leaders to participate in His work and that they will be effectively prepared for the work to which they are called.
+ Additionally, pray for protection, perseverance and passion for workers on the frontier as they step into often-challenging contexts to share God’s hope, love and mercy with least-reached peoples.
