This is our brand motto. We are a nutrient company, and we take pride in selecting quality raw materials like pharmaceutical-grade amino acids and high-purity minerals. During the manufacturing process, each product is reacted and then filtered through a fine-mesh filter. This ensures a high-quality finished product in each jug. Still, Foliar-Pak is more than nutrients. Foliar-Pak products can prevent plant stress from environmental factors, accelerate turfgrass establishment, enhance soil biology, encourage controlled growth, and alleviate difficult soil conditions. We provide solutions.
Foliar-Pak products are made by EnP at a dedicated facility in Mendota, Illinois. EnP is dedicated to inventing, synthesizing, and formulating specialty plant fertilizers that maximize the genetic potential of plants while reducing chemical inputs.
Amino acids increase nitrogen fixation and the production of chlorophyll, energy, and anti-stress compounds in plants. In addition to plant health benefits, trials have shown an increase in the efficiency and uptake of pesticides when tank-mixed with amino acids. AminoPrecise is a proprietary formulation technology used to create Foliar-Pak’s new amino acid products. Using specific amino acids in chemical reactions with each individual nutrient, we can maximize the protection, solubility, entry into the plant, and movement through the plant’s vascular system for each different nutrient-amino-acid compound. When soil tests—like our Soil Solver diagnostic program—identify specific nutrient deficiencies, AminoPrecise products offer precise solutions.
Armament is a patented, biodegradable nutrient enhancer that protects nutrient ions from interactions, antagonisms, and tie up in the soil, and increases nutrient uptake by as much as 30%. It unlocks the tied-up nutrients that already exist in the soil and enhances nutrient utilization by protecting the nutrients and keeping them in a plant-usable form.
Foliar-Pak’s Colonise technology is a highly specific blend of microorganisms, microbe food, and nutrient enhancers that are tailored to address specific issues in the soil. This technology helps target better nutrient uptake, plant resilience, color response, rooting, and turf playability.
Don’t just take our word for it.
The golf course superintendents, lawn care operators, and sports turf managers using Foliar-Pak products aren’t shy about what they think of them, and we’re happy to share their feedback. TIM CUNNINGHAM GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
Lockwood
Folly Country Club
Holden Beach, NC
When Tim Cunningham and Clint Weeks sat down to plan their 2022 greens program, they knew something had to change. After three years at Lockwood Folly Country Club, they were still struggling with weak, unhealthy putting greens. Appearance and playability were faltering.
Their turnaround started with a soil test, which Curt Geron and Rodney Crouse helped them interpret. Test results revealed significant problems hindering the ultradwarf bermudagrass greens.
The soil had a high sand content, which caused a low cation exchange capacity and low levels of organic matter, both of which became evident through testing. These issues prevented the turf
from taking up nutrients, so it was critical to increase nitrogen and minor nutrient inputs with the new program.
“The amino acid-based program is also an important part of our success. Regular applications of Foundation Forty, CSi L , and Amperage made a difference in color and just the overall strengthening of the turfgrass stand,” Tim said. “Our turf color is more natural and lasts longer as well. We’ve had a very busy tee time schedule, and these greens are handling the traffic stress much better than they did before.
Tim and his team also dealt with an irrigation water problem. "The bicarbonates in their irrigation water were contributing to the issue of unavailable nutrients in the soil. Armament K became integral to counteract the bicarbonates and provide better nutrient uptake. Tim makes a great point: “It is important to stick with the program, especially with our poor water situation. Consistently applying Armament and the FoliarPak amino acids has made a huge difference in our greens.”
Another unique challenge on the greens at Lockwood Folly is an
impenetrable layer of residual topdressing sand buried from ten or twelve years ago. The layer is about three inches below the surface of the greens and prevents roots from growing through it. Without completely renovating the greens, Tim had to compensate for the layer with a powerful plant health program.
Soil test data shaped what became Lockwood Folly’s 2022 greens program. With weekly soil and foliar sprays, the Foliar-Pak program helped correct persistent soil and plant issues. Tim and his team completed the program along with solid tine aeration, DryJect, and a good fungicide program to provide comprehensive maintenance.
With the combination of making some crucial changes in cultural practices, dialing in the fertilizer needs with Soil Solver, and the unique technologies that Foliar-Pak offers, they noticed a big difference in plant health, playability, and appearance. Healthier greens and improved playability helped Tim and his team turn years of challenges into a success story for everyone at Lockwood Folly Country Club.

BEN WILSON OWNER AND PRESIDENT
Services
Peoria, IL
It’s easy to tell that Ben Wilson has always been a lawn care professional at heart. When he was a child, he started his own lawn mowing business out of his parents’ shed, and now he owns and is president of Wilson Services, a full-service lawn care company in Peoria, Illinois. Wilson Services, in its current form, is relatively young. Wilson acquired a local business last June and transformed it into Wilson Services, essentially tripling its size within a year. The company offers a wide range of services, including grounds maintenance,
landscaping, snow removal, athletic field maintenance, interior plant leasing, and more.
As his business kept growing, Wilson was on the lookout for nutrient products that could enhance his customers’ lawns and sports fields and set them apart—ensuring that their turf isn’t just good, but excellent. The company was open to trying new products that enhance turf health, so Advanced Turf Solutions’ Eric Suryk connected with Wilson, and he was drawn by the service aspect of Foliar-Pak.
“He [Eric] met with us, showed us what we needed, showed us examples of what they [FoliarPak products] could do,” said Wilson. “So, then we started using them on my properties and it made a huge difference last year across all of them. I mean a noticeable difference.”
Wilson was surprised by the effectiveness of Foliar-Pak products, especially after treating their local Single A baseball team’s field. He explained that if someone was looking at the field on a consistent, daily basis over a
month, they wouldn’t have noticed any big changes. Wilson is right. The effects of Foliar-Pak products aren’t instantaneous, and people rarely notice drastic changes when they come gradually. Fortunately, he snapped some photos.
Wilson Services took over the management of the field in 2023 after the team had major issues brought about by drought conditions. So, Wilson decided to use Foliar-Pak products to help bring the field back to its former glory and uses them on the property to this day.
“We joked about how we’ll have it back within a week, and after a few applications, different products literally worked within a week or two, and that’s really what kind of set the tone for us to make a big transition to all Foliar-Pak products,” said Wilson. “The ease of use, just the overall quality is much higher than what we were dealing with prior, which has made us convert everything we do now to Foliar-Pak products this year.”
Wilson is especially pleased with how adaptable Foliar-Pak’s products are, and how that makes it easier to take care of his customers. “From being able to do very specific things to more broad applications, we can dial in these properties better than we ever have been able to do before.”
Grow-In and Foundation Forty are some of Wilson’s go-tos for “middle of the road” products, as he puts it, which are the ones his team uses consistently. Grow-In has been used on a lot of the yards he treats because of its versatility.
“It’s predictable, and it’s effective,” said Wilson. “So, we don’t have to
question or go back and be like: ‘Is this working? Is this not working?’”
This predictability across the Foliar-Pak line not only saves Wilson and his team time and guesswork, but it also helps them build trust with customers by delivering highquality, consistent results.
“We know what the product is going to do, and because of our relationship with Eric, as well as his knowledge and backing, we use them in such a way that they all work together really well,” said Wilson. “The product line across the Foliar-Pak brand, they all complement and work well together to develop a really, really good package for our customers. Whether it’s an athletic facility or for a homeowner, we can find something that does what we need it to do.”
Overall, Wilson had this to say about Foliar-Pak’s offerings: “They’re high-quality products that we can rely on to do well for our customer, which in turn, does well for us.”
For Wilson and his team, FoliarPak products have become their first choice for fostering healthy turf. If you’re looking for nutrient-packed formulations that deliver outstanding results, consider looking into Foliar-Pak.

JACOB BLAIR CGCS/GENERAL MANAGER
Oldham County Country Club La Grange, KY
Jacob Blair is no stranger to FoliarPak products. He’s been using them for ten years, four at his current course, Oldham County Country Club (OCCC), and six at the course before that. He returns to them year after year because of his positive experiences.
Before working as the General Manager/Golf Course Superintendent at OCCC, Blair
worked at a course that only allowed him to apply what the city attached to the course bought in bulk, which included Foliar-Pak products. The spray program at that course was minimal, with applications of Foliar-Pak products only going out every two weeks. Despite this, Blair consistently saw good results, which convinced him of the effectiveness of FoliarPak products and reassured him of their value in his program.
“We only sprayed every two weeks at the course I managed before OCCC,” Blair said. “And the results from the Foliar-Pak products we sprayed were pretty good considering the circumstances of the spray program.”
He continued, “So, I knew Foliar-Pak products performed well, and I wanted to continue
using them in my program.” And he did continue using them. When Blair left that course for OCCC, he brought Foliar-Pak products with him.
Like many of his industry peers, Blair strives to maintain lean greens at OCCC with minimal nitrogen usage. He also aims to control top growth and suppress Poa annua while ensuring the overall health of his plants.
Luckily for Blair, his decision to continue applying Foliar-Pak helps him accomplish those goals. Blair spoon feeds FoliarPak 14-2-4, three ounces every two weeks, to give his turfgrass a little nitrogen and aid in recovery from play. He then applies FoliarPak Minors, Gold Standard 45, and CSi L to help his turfgrass thrive with less nitrogen.
Foliar-Pak Minors gives his turfgrass the micronutrients it needs to help it flourish when it’s not getting much nitrogen. Gold Standard 45 and CSi L work to strengthen the cell walls of his plants and build a tougher, more rigid plant without a lot of nitrogen. The lower level of nitrogen use Foliar-Pak permits helps keep his top growth to a minimum and nitrogen-hungry Poa annua at bay.
“Foliar-Pak makes using less nitrogen easier,” Blair said. “I don’t really use granular products, so I spoon-feed 14-24 to give the turfgrass a small amount of nitrogen. Because I use little nitrogen, I know I need something to ensure my plants remain healthy.”
He continues, “Foliar-Pak Minors gives my turfgrass all the
micronutrients it could need to stay healthy with less nitrogen, and Gold Standard 45 and CSi L create a tougher plant without needing lots of nitrogen. Being able to use less nitrogen starves out the Poa, and keeps my top growth down.”
The use of nitrogen-saving products also has management benefits, according to Blair.
“Because we use less nitrogen,” Blair explained, “We don’t have to mow our greens as much. We mow the greens two or three days a week, then roll the rest. Using less nitrogen also helps save hours on the mower and allows us to redirect that labor to other tasks.”
Furthermore, Blair stated that Gold Standard 45 has an additional benefit to the ones already mentioned.
“I run Gold Standard 45 from the middle of May to the middle/end of September,” Blair says. “Besides the health benefits, I like to put Gold Standard 45 in my tanks because it is cost-effective enough to run for a long period compared to other companies, and you get the same results. You get the same performance for less of a cost.”
When asked if Blair would consider switching to other products after his decade-long experience with Foliar-Pak, he quickly said no.
“No,” Blair said. “Foliar-Pak has performed year after year, so I’ll keep using it. Why get rid of something that continues to work well?”

DOUG ADAMS GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT Treasure Lake Golf Course DuBois, PA
For more than 30 years Doug Adams has maintained the two 18-hole courses at Treasure Lake in DuBois, Pennsylvania. He’s been the superintendent for almost 20 of those years. With a lean crew, Doug values efficiency everywhere on the property.
“We run with, on a daily basis, between four to six personnel— some days more, some days less,” Doug said. The Treasure Lake team uses Foliar-Pak products on both their gold and silver courses, which are about six miles apart from each other.
Before Doug’s sales rep, Rich Bryce, first introduced him to Foliar-Pak, he was using traditional nutrition
products. “We were just using your basic quick-release fertilizers,” he said. “Rich actually started me out with the 11-0-11 and the 14-2-4 And then we just kept building on from there.”
At first, the transition to FoliarPak products was small. “I started them at the silver course and just was very impressed,” Doug said. “And then since, we’ve added four or five more products that I use on the gold course.”
Doug uses the following products on the greens of the gold course: “Foundation Forty goes in every tank starting June 1. Gold Standard 45 is another heavy hitter that I love to use. It gives us great color, plant health, and definitely helps fighting off disease pressure. We’ve implemented Armament MKS We hit that once a year. We use Amperage, and we use Minors.”
According to Doug, the results have been simple yet impactful. “Plant health. Root development. We consistently, in the years past, have fought with anthracnose terribly. And it seemed to have helped once we started implementing these products.”
The reduced disease pressure also takes some pressure off Doug and his crew. “We would get anthracnose so bad that we would have to physically go in and sod out the dead spots.” Now, they can spend that time doing other work on the property.
Doug credits Rich with helping him understand the value of Foliar-Pak products. Rich “basically explains the benefits, just breaking down some of the chemistry that goes into them to explain how there’s more than just putting fertilizer down,” said Doug. “You’re getting so much more with Foliar-Pak.”
Doug plans to continue using Foliar-Pak as much as possible. “If I had the budget, I would implement every single one of them. I would definitely alternate and try to implement every single one of the foliars,” Doug said. “And also, I would definitely put it everywhere. Greens, tees, fairways.”
With a tight budget and a lean crew, Doug has used Foliar-Pak to maximize his efficiency at Treasure Lake.
Armament technology acts as a magnet to attract nutrients and make them available for uptake, resulting in better plant health with lower inputs. Our Armament options include tank-mix partners, all-in-one products, and coated granular fertilizers.

JOHN CORRIGAN
TURF
AND PLANT HEALTH CARE
Infinity Lawn and Landscaping
Frankfort, IL
The sod for a homeowner’s backyard sat in 90-degree heat for three days due to a delivery mistake and a bad irrigation box. At first, the only solution was to go through the costly effort of replacing the brown and dying sod. Then, the homeowner turned to John Corrigan of Infinity Lawn and Landscaping.
John Corrigan is in charge of turf and plant health care at Infinity, owned by Scott and Todd Elam. In the beginning, the company specialized in hardscapes and landscapes but
wanted to transition into offering customers a four or five-step fertilizer application program. Corrigan was brought on board to initiate this division, and he was introduced to Greg Pavlovcic of Advanced Turf Solutions when he was looking for a ride-on sprayer-spreader.
“Greg and I became instant buds. He helped me select the machine and taught me how to calibrate it,” said Corrigan.
“I told Greg my goal of wanting to feed the soil instead of just
looking for a green lawn. He’s been extremely helpful in giving me product suggestions to achieve healthier lawns for my customers.”
To fix the dormant sod, Corrigan turned to Pavlovcic for any possible recommendations. He immediately suggested Foliar-Pak’s Grow-In .
Corrigan applied Grow-In and water the first week and followed up with applications of GrowIn and Advanced Turf Solutions 16–28–12 in the second week.
“At first, it was comical to the neighbors,” he said. “They just saw
me walking the backyard every day with a 300-ft hose and spraying a brown lawn. I walked north and south to apply the Grow-In, and then in the same application, walked east and west. I doubled the application every time.”
In a short two weeks’ time, the sod went through an incredible transformation and became healthy and green, and Corrigan gained a delighted customer for years to come.
“The homeowner told me that all his neighbors thought it
was a joke to water that sod, but now everyone thinks he has the greenest lawn,” said Corrigan.
“Grow-In took the lawn from the embarrassment to the envy of the neighborhood.
The results opened my mind, and I’m excited to have a home for Grow-In in programs for my customers.”

CHAD KARR
GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT Brickshire Golf Club
Providence Forge, VA
Before joining Brickshire, Chad Karr drove three hours roundtrip to work every day. With four kids at home, he and his wife decided to move closer to his job and build a house in the Brickshire neighborhood. That’s when the Brickshire Golf Club superintendent position opened, and Chad realized he could have an even shorter commute than expected.
“I think the place flew under the radar because there are so many great golf courses in central Virginia, but I instantly
fell in love with the property,” said Chad. “It has a lot of native areas, a lot of good architectural character to the course.” support from his family, and help from his Foliar-Pak program.
Starting in the middle of the season meant working with what was on hand. “I inherited a chemical and fertilizer room that basically were a hodgepodge of products from other manufacturers, so I pretty much rode out the rest of the season with what I had,” Chad said. “The prior superintendent had been very impactful. He was very high-level maintenance, he was good. So I inherited a great opportunity in that regard. There were some things that I’ve improved upon, but I was given a really good slate to begin with.”
It wasn’t until the fall that Chad began tweaking his program. Specifically, he was looking for a silica product when his distributor representative told him about Foliar-Pak CSiL. “I took a chance and decided to start off with
three products. So I started off the CSi L , Foundation Forty, and Amperage. And immediately, you saw a huge color change, very natural,” Chad said. “It didn’t seem like you were overloading the plant with nitrogen, just got a really good plant response. So much so that I have a couple of tenured employees on my crew that have been here between eight and ten years who said they’ve never seen the greens look that good.”
If those results weren’t enough, a careless golfer provided yet
another field test. “We had an area on our practice green that someone had decided to apply some aerosol, whether it was bug spray or sunscreen, on their legs, and you could see the outline of their feet in green and all brown around it.”
Chad turned the blunder into a bet with his rep: “If I can get that area to recover and I don’t have to plug that out, then I’ll commit to a full-on program next year.”
Chad was pleasantly surprised by what happened next. “As I continued to do those biweekly sprays with just those three
products alone, that area actually recovered, and I didn’t have to plug it out,” he said. “At that point, we then pulled some soil samples. And with recommendations from Curt, we came up with a program.”
True to his word, Chad committed to a full Foliar-Pak greens program for the 2023 season. He started in the spring with a foliar spray of 18-3-4, Calcium , Amperage, Armament K, and Magnesium . His soil applications are the same all year: Armament K and Base Calcium .
Summer applications consist of the three that started it all: CSi L, Foundation Forty, and Amperage. The program continues Magnesium through the summer and adds Gold Standard 45 for phosphite. It also includes CSi L and Grow-In around spring and fall aeration.
Chad had used amino acid products before, but not with the same success he saw from FoliarPak technology. “Some of the other competitors, I would see that you would apply the product. You get plant response within two, three days. And within five days, it kind of petered out,” he said. “And you kind of feel like your
greens look like they’re hungry and needing that next application, which then, at that point, could be another week out. Where FoliarPak, it’s like every time I spray, I don’t see that diminished return. It’s like they just exponentially get better every time.”
The results have continued to impress. “They have habitually had areas that they just could never get to fill in. And I would say that I have 99.9% turf coverage at this point, which is absolutely amazing,” Chad said.
Improved plant recovery has taken some pressure off of Chad’s crew. “One of the things that we noticed in the fall was, if an area wilted, we weren’t looking at wilt damage as long. Which, in a lot of ways, was allowing my crew to not feel obligated to continuously hit the same areas with water,” he said.
“I think in a lot of ways, I’m able to give less nitrogen to get a healthier plant, which is reducing my clipping volume and reducing the amount of time it takes to mow. Plus, I think reduced clippings means less wear and tear on equipment. I think it all exponentially adds up.”

L = L-Amino Acids
There are numerous products on the market that claim to contain amino acids, but it can be difficult to determine whether they are available and in sufficient amounts to make a positive impact on plant health and nutrient uptake. Only L-amino acids are available for plants to use. The Foliar-Pak amino package has been reformulated for increased nitrogen fixation, chlorophyll production, energy production, and the production of antistress compounds.
A = Armament Technology
Armament protects nutrients from adverse interactions in the soil, which render them unavailable, while increasing nutrient uptake and use efficiency by as much as 30%.
P = Polysaccharides
Built from a malt extract that is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and a complex series of different molecular-weight sugars, Foliar-Pak’s polysaccharides create terrific complexes
Humic acids and seaweed extract supply various carbon structures, which take on a multitude of roles in the plant and soil. Humic acids, as well as the organic acids and sugar alcohols from seaweed, directly impact plant nutrition by complexing with various nutrients, thus improving foliar and root availability of those nutrients. In an indirect manner, humics and seaweed work to improve plant functions such as chlorophyll development, water utilization and plant defense mechanisms. These improvements result in a healthier plant with better root structure that is able to absorb foliar and soil nutrients more efficiently. In the soil seaweed escalates biological activity, which results in nutrient mineralization and an environment more suitable for root functioning.
BP = Block Polymer
Block polymers work as a spreading surfactant to increase foliar coverage. This increases opportunity for uptake through stomates and transcuticular pores. In the soil the block polymer improves water
