Fringe Mount Gambier 2023 Festival Program

Ready to

dive in…

The past few years have been a rocky ride, but turbulent seas on the surface have little influence on the deep dark depths of the ocean. In 2023, Fringe Mount Gambier / Berrin is back and diving INTO THE DEEP BLUE! This year’s festival theme represents the quirky, colourful, sometimes risky, at other times tranquil, and mysterious depths that exploration of the Arts provides. It encourages us to consider and respect the natural beauty of our oceans and the volcanic Warwar (Blue Lake). Leave your expectations behind and join us for a journey into the realm of endless possibility.

2023 poster Artwork

Tim Goschnick is the Melbourne-based digital artist and illustrator behind the imagery and festival poster for Fringe Mount Gambier 2023.

Inspired by 60s psychedelic, sci-fi and the natural world, Tim infuses vivid colour, abstract patterns and warping, and liquid visuals into his work, creating an energetically charged and visually stimulating viewing experience. Tim’s formal background lies in video game design and animation, leaving him well placed for designing the detailed and richly imagined fantasy worlds depicted in his illustrations. Tim uses a mix of graphite, ink and digital colours to create his fascinating artwork.

Keep an eye out at FRiNGELAND for Fringe 2023 merchandise featuring Tim’s work.

rovers & street preformers

Australia’s top rovers and street performers will traverse FRiNGELAND and the Fringe Street Party across the festival’s opening weekend!

The weird and wacky, height defying and bendy, fire throwing and juggling, dancing and drag, hula hooping, musical and purely fantastical!

supported by stand like stone

Fringe Mount Gambier / Berrin is committed to diversity and inclusion through the arts. The Fringe OUTREACH program brings Fringe arts experiences directly to vulnerable groups and those who experience barriers to arts participation.

In 2023, we are proud to continue our work with organisations such as Boandik, Oaks Aged Care, Resthaven, AC Care, Serene Country Living and Connecting Foster and Kinship Care Co.
