Notes from Friends Jessica Phillips Wiedmann is changing fields and is currently enrolled in nursing school at Villanova University after many years in the music industry. “I’m thankful to Friends’ Central for teaching me that a career in helping others is both personally and professionally fulfilling,” she writes.
2002 READ DeSabato and Sara Kankowski DeSabato welcomed their son, Robin Eugene Anthony DeSabato, on July 12, 2012. He weighed 8 lbs., 15 oz. and was 22 in. long. C. Jerome Mopsik ‘02 married Emily Carnevale this past June in Stone Harbor, N.J.
Jess English and her husband, Mike, welcomed their first baby, Charlie, on May 16.

C. Jerome Mopsik married Emily Carnevale on the beach in Stone Harbor, N.J., on June 9. In attendance were his sister Jennie Mopsik ’04 and many friends and family. Jerome and Emily met while attending Skidmore College together. They celebrated their honeymoon in The Azores and Lisbon, Portugal.

David Kleban graduated from Harvard Law School this spring, and began work as a Litigation Associate at the firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler in Manhattan in September. Benj Pasek has been named one of the “Top 25 Under 35 Emerging Broadway Players” by Artinfo.com. His musical, Dogfight, for which he co-wrote the music and lyrics, opened off Broadway at New York’s Second Stage Theater this summer.
2005 Leah Franqui is the marketing director for Philadelphia’s Theatre Exile.
