YEARBOOK
Grades: 6-8
Time: 4:00-5:00 (1 hour)
Language: English
Tap into your ability to creatively communicate what makes our school so special! Students will take on the authority and responsibility regarding the initial decisions about the direction of the book (theme, color palette, fonts), and then find ways to keep the 144-page book consistent, cohesive, and equitable
You may also contribute to changes as the project progresses through the year Collaboration is a must Organization, attention to detail, precision, and strong communication are also necessary.
You will learn about photography, journalism, graphic design, and the software needed to build the book online. You will practice perseverance, flexibility, providing and accepting critiques, and hone your sense of aesthetics, as you complete assignments with or without the assistance of others. Students also need to act professionally in dealing with other community members, from our youngest to the adults.
By joining the Yearbook Club, you will be instrumental in the production of a book that is published and sold, and thus are performing in a realworld way for FASPS Lastly, this can add to your resumé when applying to high school. Although a serious commitment, we have quite a bit of fun, too. Come and be a part of something big.
