ast month we briefly touched upon the ever-expanding market for air freight, and with 10.4% growth in the first half of 2017, showing nearly triple the average growth of 3.9%

over the last five years, it’s easy to see why any forwarder would be massively excited by the advantages in using air freight. Brexit is still the big topic, and with freight forwarders being sceptical about the governments post-Brexit trade and customs arrangements, one thing is for certain, air-freight has continued to grow within this turbulent time. When thinking about the advantages in air-freight, the immediate economic benefits with Scandinavian countries is evident from recent stats. With 44,000 jobs directly supported by the aviation sector and paying SEK 9.4 billion in taxes, the air-freight industry has been forecast to continue to grow in places such as Sweden. This has also turned into one of the most

The transaction includes terminal activities nationwide, warehousing and haulage services, while five out of seven multi-purpose vessels will be transferred under a time charter arrangement to Samskip.
