Anticipation

Woozy head, dreamy eyes Flowers constantly bloom With eternal blues skies. Forever ripe fruit Burdens tired trees And ev’rything present Is inclined to please There’s much you desire But little you need... But inside your skull can be awfully dull. Give me a world that isn’t all light Where all things aren’t perfect or a wondrous sight. A world not of plenty but occasional lack, A world of cold water - a world that bites back.
