MESSAGE FROM THE INTERIM PROVOST
Judith M. Horowitz, Ph.D.
Every year since 2016 we have taken an intentional "time out" of our schedules to honor and recognize the excellent work that Fredonia's faculty are engaged in. Contained in this publication you'll find a testament to your colleagues' dedication--for example, work on experiential learning, digital pedagogy tools, using OERs for inclusive pedagogy, using Dungeons and Dragons to reinvent first-year orientation, leading drum circles in a culturally meaningful way, music performances delivered across New York, and artistic performances that thrill and delight crowds.
I'm so honored to be among you all, and to support your work!
Judith M. Horowitz
Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
This publication provides an overview of the scholarly and creative activities undertaken by Fredonia’s faculty over the past year. The work showcased here reflects the commitment of SUNY Fredonia's faculty to advancing knowledge across a diverse array of disciplines and fields of study.
The expertise and quality of work produced by Fredonia’s faculty are consistently impressive. While the impact of their research, scholarship, and creativity is evident across campus, it is gratifying to see the breadth of this work highlighted in the following pages.
The campus community extends its gratitude to our faculty for these outstanding intellectual achievements and their continued dedication to the mission of the university.
