new genre of music by combining styles and elements of country, rock and roll, punk, indie and alternative. They have recently performed in a Battle of Bands competition, which they won, and this year’s Apple Blossom Concert. Starting off as a solo band, Haden Olmsted (lead vocals/guitar) eventually recruited Alex Salser (guitar/back-up vocals), Brian Komatz (bass/backup vocals) and Nate McDowell (drums/back-up vocals) to add depth to the group. In addition to the live musical performances there will be activities and games for kids at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, the Great American Corn-Hole Tournament, a beer garden for those of age and more family fun. For 16 years, Bugsy Cline and the Blue Devils have been playing a foottapping style of funky, bluesy rock music throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Board’s goal for the Rockin’ Independence Eve event is to provide an opportunity for an evening of family-fun entertainment. “We really want this event to be a fun all-American family event to celebrate the 4th of July in an enjoyable way for everyone. We have live music, games for the kids, a beer garden for those of age to enjoy a cool beverage while listening to the bands and a corn-hole tournament for everyone to enjoy. It is another event that we are doing to bring out the new atmosphere of the downtown area. We want the whole family to come out and have a good time together on the new Old Town Walking Mall,” said Dario Savarese, President of Full Circle Marketing. After the festivities on the Downtown Walking Mall, a fireworks show will conclude the night of Rockin’ Independence Eve. The fireworks will take place downtown around 9:15pm re-
