Registration Online

Use our online registration system to sign up for the classes that you want! Simply search for the classes, register, and pay. If you’d like, you can print your receipt and even view your household activity calendar. Please note you must have a household account set up in person prior to using our online registration system. Contact our Guest Services at 970.726.8968 for details on how to set up a household.

How to register for programs online: The first time you register, please enter your household number as both your username and password. Your household number can be found on a receipt or by calling 970.726.8968 ext. 0. Go to fraservalleyrec.org. On the menu bar of the

homepage -> Click REGISTER NOW-> REGISTER HERE -> Log into your account> “Search”button-> Childcare/ Afterschool-> “keyword” -> type “camp” -> scroll down and find the activity you are looking for -> click the small calendar icon to bring up the summer calendar and click on the days (+) you’d like to register for. Please note we require

payment at the time of registration. A $1.00 discount is offered with on-line registration for After-school Program and Friday Field Trips. $5 discount on most Athletic and Specialty Programs.

The Fraser Valley Rec After School Program, Friday Field Trips and Summer Day Camps all operate as a Colorado school-aged licensed daycare. All forms need to be completed before registration can take place. To register for Camp Docs, please email Emily Weida: emily@fraservalleyrec.org with your child’s name, gender,date of birth and current grade. A profile will be created and an invite email will be sent from Campdoc to complete all paperwork. If you would prefer to use the paper copies, you can either print them from the above PDF links or pick up at the rec center’s front desk. Of note, you will also need to provide a copy of your child’s immunization records. Paper copies are also available in Spanish

After-School Program

Testing Days - August 26th & August 27th, 2019

FVMRD will be offering full & half-day care on Monday, August 26th and Tuesday, August 27th for K-5th graders due to Fraser Elementary testing. If your child needs to attend testing either of these days, please let FVMRD Staff know when you drop your child off and we will work with FVE Staff to ensure your child gets to the appropriate places. Drop-off is between 7:30am-9:00am (the morning testing group will join us in the cafeteria at 11:30) and pick-up is any time prior to 5:30pm.

PLEASE PACK A LUNCH and SNACKS. We will visit the rec center for gymnastics in the afternoon from 1-3pm.

After School Program

Are you looking for a safe, fun, supervised environment where your child can spend time after school? Have them join us at the FVMRD Afterschool Program located at Fraser Valley Elementary! Your child is able to improve their social skills, partake in physical activity, and receive academic support in a nurturing environment with experienced staff. A healthy snack will be provided, followed by a story/reading time, gym/outside time, homework time and/or an organized craft or free time.

Field Trips will depart from the Fraser Elementary School classroom. Participants should arrive between 8:00am & 9:00am, as our scheduled day starts at 9:15am. Trips will return to the school by 4:45pm.

Drop-off: In the main FVE school parking lot, you will enter through the double brown doors (to the right of the flagpole/main entrance) The FVE classroom is immediately to your right once in the building. All field trips require a bag lunch (unless otherwise noted), snacks, weather appropriate attire (winter clothing for all winter trips - snowpants, boots, etc.), sturdy shoes, & a water bottle. Don’t forget about our Parents Night Out on select Fridays of each month from 4:30-8:30pm. Open for children age 3+ (must be potty trained). 13th Floor Teen Trip The best out of all Denver Haunted Houses! Denver’s largest and longest Halloween Haunted Attraction! (We’ve reserved “Skip the Line” tickets to eliminate long wait times). Red Cross Classes

Red Cross CPR & 1st Aid - Blended Learning

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults and youth. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed internet connection. Allow approximately 3 hours to complete the online portion. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. You receive the link from our instructor upon your registration.

This American Red Cross course is ideal for current and future babysitters. They will learn how to keep children in their care safe and entertained. They will also learn the business of babysitting. They will receive a certification in Pedatric and Infant CPR and 1st Aid. From bottle feeding to sibling conflict, this course covers it all.

Red Cross Lifeguard Training - Blended Learning

Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.

Prerequisites: Minimum age: 15 years; Swim 300 yards continuously; Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs; Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or a ladder. Please schedule a Swim Test prior to the class. You will receive a link for the on-line portion from the instructor after your registration and prior to class start. 7 hours of online training is required before class.

Working with clay helps children develop coordination, concentration, and teaches them how to transform ideas into creative expression. They will learn many different kinds of techniques such as: pinch method, coiling, slab work, wheel and various textured applications. Dog Training - Agility - Intro

Come join Moving Mountains Dog Training in Fraser for dog agility! These 5 week classes will meet once a week for one hour to teach your dog basic agility. Aquatics

Red Cross Lifeguard Training - Blended Learning

Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.

Prerequisites: Minimum age: 15 years; Swim 300 yards continuously; Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs; Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or a ladder. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross Certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years.

Please schedule a Swim Test prior to the class. You will receive a link for the on-line portion from the instructor after your registration and prior to class start. 7 hours of online training is required before class.

Fall Peak Swim Team

Peak Swim Team encourages the youth of Grand County to participate, develop and improve their swimming skills while recognizing individual achievements, efforts, and contributions to team goals. All participants must be able to swim one length of the pool freestyle with rhythmic breathing, unassisted and continuously. This is a team that will be coached, not lessons. There will be about 4 meets during this season; they are usually early Saturday or Sunday mornings. Exact dates and times will be announced soon! While participation in meets is not mandatory, it is highly recommended for swimmers to attend. This is where they will see all of their hard work pay off! Swim Club - Minnows

The club is for kids in the skill levels of 1-3 in the Learn to Swim program. We encourage all to be comfortable in the water and prefer that they have participated in a regular swim lesson; however, this is not required. A one hour class, with the last 15 to 10 minutes set aside for play! There is a little of everything: Stroke Refinement, Personal Survival, Team Games, Buoyancy and Diving, always popular playtime! Alpine Competitive Gymnastics

These classes are for those boys & girls that have mastered the beginning to advanced skills on the floor exercise, balance beam, vault and uneven parallel bars and all 6 boys events. At 5 hours 2 nights per week it is considered a recreational competitive gymnastics program. It is an opportunity for beginner, intermediate and advanced gymnasts to experience the competitive nature of the sport. Coach approval is needed to become part of the team. Beginner to intermediate skill levels compete in the compulsory program. Advanced intermediate to advanced level compete in the optional program.

For boys 7 to 9.5 years of age. Based on the popular American Ninja Warrior program; this class offers strength, balance, flexibility and endurance taught through a Ninja Warrior type of obstacle courses that include swinging, climbing, bouncing, crawling and balancing. Climbing Please note that the Grand Park Community Recreation Center be will CLOSED for our annual maintenance Sunday, September 15th- Friday, September 20th MUST Pre-register prior to beginning of each month for Climbing Club.

$5 On-line Basic rockclimbing skills taught to 6-10 year olds. We will teach Registration correctly putting on a harness, standard figure eight knot with Discount! safety backup, belaying techniques, and moving over vertical terrain. Our emphasis will be safety, proper respect for potential dangers and most importantly to have fun. This class is geared toward youngsters who have a desire to be exposed to the climbing world. Trampoline

This is a semi-structured class designed for youth ages 8+ to experience supervised trampoline play and the opportunity to explore other gymnastics apparatus. Learn traditional and new off-axis skills on the trampoline, emphasis will be on the body and spatial awareness. PRE-REGISTRATION WITH PAYMENT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILY GYM, THEY FILL QUICKLY!! $10 per child per session.

Ski Conditioning - registration opens at 12:01 am september 9

Get ready for the ski season with this challenging circuit workout. During this class you will be using bands, BOSUs, medicine balls, physioballs plus much more to improve balance, lower body and core strength. Exercises can scaled or modified for those with knee or back issues. When registering for this class you are committing to all eight weeks as this is a progressive class. There are no drop ins. The AM and PM classes will be geared for all abilities.

Fitness Guided Exercise Plan

A personalized 6 week plan that is tailored to you to meet your specific fitness and nutrition goals. Please contact our Fitness Supervisor: John Florkiewicz, john@ fraservalleyrec.org for more information and to schedule an appointment. One time fee of $60 member and $70 for a non-member.

Small Group & Personal Training

Join with friends to maximize the effectiveness of your workouts and gain peer support. You’ll receive the same careful personalized attention and individualized workouts as with one on one personal training. Small group personal training includes the Functional Movement Screen for each client. Groups may consist of 2-3 people. Functional Movement Screen

The Functional Movement Screen is an assessment to document movement patterns that are key to normal function. Assessing these patterns, the FMS identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercise to restore mechanically sound movement patterns. The FMS score is used to track progress and identify exercises that will be most effective to restore proper movement and build strength. What is SilverSneakers®

SilverSneakers® is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity and social events.

SilverSneakers® members have access to the fitness area, swimming pool, steam & sauna rooms, and customized fitness classes. SilverSneakers® fitness classes are designed exclusively for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. How do I enroll in the program? Eligible members must be 65 and have a participating health plan provider. Contact us for a list of providers in Colorado. You can sign up at the front desk of the Grand Park Community Recreation Center (GPCRC). You must complete membership paperwork for GPCRC and for SilverSneakers®. The paperwork includes an Activity Readiness Assessment and a Physical Activity waiver. A Release for Activity form from your doctor may be required if you have any of the conditions listed on the Activity Readiness Assessment. If you are already a member of the GPCRC you will need to fill out theSilverSneakers® membership forms and freeze your GPCRC membership. Those with existing memberships or punch cards may receive a credit on their household account. After enrolling you will receive a swipe keycard which you will use to swipe in at the front desk each time you enter the recreation center. Member information includes program information provided during the enrollment process. All program member information is kept confidential and private.
