Welcome to Spring 2021 Lock down just showed what we know to be true.

That it is great being in a community with lots of beautiful open space.

The Grove has long been a friendly place to live. So it is fantastic that once again we can visit each other, organise kids’ playdates and get ready to gather together for those end of year celebrations The Grove does so well.

Like Halloween that we’ve just had. See the photos inside.

Of course, the big news is that our Dianella Community Centre is now open.

The Bush Bus is back. And so is Live Life Get Active.

All these exciting developments and more are here for you to enjoy.

What’s on Live Life Get Active Pop on your trainers. Live Life Get Active is back at The Grove, meeting every Wednesday morning 9.30 – 10:15 for Yoga at Little Growling Park.

For all ages and levels of fitness, everyone is invited.

But due to restricted numbers, please register in advance and join us on the day Click to Register

Dianella opens its doors It’s official. Though completed for some time, our very own Dianella Community Centre opened on November 8.

For parents with young children, there is Maternal and Child Healthcare as well as a Kindergarten on the premises.

For the staging of a whole range of events, the centre also boasts an outdoor area, with ampitheatre, half basketball court and community BBQ facilities. Inside you’ll find a lounge, community rooms and meeting spaces, complete with WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, tables and chairs, accessible entry level parking, along with male and female bathrooms fitted with a baby change area.

For recreational purposes, training, seminars, consultations, even celebrations, the Dianella Community Centre also has hireable rooms, with priority given to those that reflect our friendly community.

What’s on The Bush Bus rolls in Gather around every Monday from 10:30 – noon for fun times with your Bush Bus buddies, our favourite nature-based playgroup.

Come along for the games, to try your hands at arts and crafts, or even pat some furry or feathered new friends.

Because of COVID-19 limits, bookings are essential.

Trick or Treat

Share some Christmas Cheer!

The last day in October saw the spooks and kooks out in force from both The Grove and Mambourin.

Recognise a kind person, welcome a new neighbour or say thanks to someone who has contributed to our community with a Christmas Hamper, provided with compliments of Frasers Property Australia.

It was a tough choice selecting the best Halloween costumes and we congratulate all winners of Little Growling Café’s competition.

Throughout 2021, community spirit has been more important than ever, and we’ve seen or heard about many lovely acts over the months of lockdown. So let’s recognise those who have given so much, by giving back.

The Christmas Hampers will be supplied by Waverley Industries, a social enterprise that offers employment and training for people with disabilities. All the goodies inside are being sourced from local businesses. With the cost of the hampers fully subsidised by Frasers Property Australia.

To nominate someone in the community, click on the link below and tell us why they are worthy of a hamper. If your nomination is a winning one, you will be notified by email, telling you when you can collect it from the sales centre.

All participants must be from The Grove and there is a limit of one nomination per household.

How wonderful it will feel when you surprise the person you nominated with a Christmas Hamper this December.

With a limited number of hampers being gifted, share some Christmas cheer this year.

Updates Park & Recreation

Watch this space

On Congo Drive, this new park is designed to Inspire adventure, exploration and discovery, a place where children will be able to let their imaginations run wild.

While we cannot make any announcements yet, there may be some big news soon that will be very well received by our local families with school-age children.

Fitted with everything from swings, slides, balancing structures and an awesome flying fox right through to an open green space where kids can kick a footy.

There is even a shelter and barbecues so families can enjoy a meal with their neighbours.

Look forward to sharing more details in the next issue.

With more parks scheduled for completion in the months ahead, The Grove is becoming well known for its nature play spaces.

Updates Stages 63, 64, 65 and 66 Construction of Stages 63 and 64 is progressing well and on track for settlements in the fourth quarter of this year, while Stages 65 & 66 are on track for settlements in the second quarter of 2022. To all our future residents we can’t wait to welcome you to life by the river.

Stage 13, 62 and 37B Parks Zippy Circuit Park in stage 62 is progressing well and will be completed in the coming months. Hard landscaping on Natal Road Park in stage 37B is well underway with soft landscaping to follow shortly. We anticipate completion this November. We’ve also started construction on our Stage 13 park on the corner of Bethany Rd and Argo Lane. This park is due to open before the end of this year.

Wetlands and Waterways Construction It’s no secret that at The Grove we love nature and that’s why we’re thrilled to have our waterways being developed.

We’re excited to announce that the stage 32 portion of the waterway is complete and landscape works on the stage 60 portion have commenced. The wetlands space will be delivered in stages, with the entire system expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
