Frasers Property has developed the following FAQs based on the feedback and common queries received during the webinar and via direct email and phone calls. We are committed to keeping the community informed and this FAQ document will continue to be updated as the project progresses. Project Overview Why is this project happening and how does Building 14 fit into the Discovery Point masterplan? The Discovery Point Concept Plan was approved on 5 May 2011 and establishes planning controls and a development framework for Discovery Point. The Concept Plan has been modified on four occasions since 2011 and has always included the site at Building 14. This proposal represents the final step in the completion of the approved Discovery Point Concept Plan and will complete delivery of the overall vision for the precinct.
What will you be seeking approval for? The project will explore options for a new 9-10 storey Build-to-Rent (BTR) building, with units created solely for the purpose of private rental housing at market rents. The redevelopment will also contribute an activated ground plane, with a lobby, amenities and retail opportunities. Integrated station access will also be included within the new building design. An administrative amendment of the current Concept Plan is required to align the maximum Gross Floor Area (GFA) and proposed use for Build-to-Rent housing.
