Track and field motivation video 2017 - Vertical Jump Training Athletics High Jump with Bondarenko I've always loved sports, growing up, when at school, and I used to love it when sports day would come around, I spent many hours practising the different sport we'd do on the day. But I've never really been a very athletic person despite watching a lot different sports and athletic activities on the TV like when the athletics is on. And although I've often wanted to be an athlete, it wasn't something I followed passionately. Which surprises me now because some athletes are just very inspiring to watch! Especially when it would come to the high jump. Some athletes just seemed to be born for this and almost defy gravity when they jump but I know not it's just down to perfecting their technique. One thing I found when practising sports and the high jump in particular was that running fast was just as important as getting the high jump right too. Because of the one doing the high jump wasn't running fast enough, or their run up to it wasn't perfect then they will likely not clear the bar and that's just a senseless jump. Basically, what I've found is that that the run up to the bar is just as important to get right as the jump itself is.
That it's all about the speed of running than the the angle of the jump itself but the cross bar forces you to just jump up as high as you can to get across it clearly. And the run up to the cross bar has to be the perfect pace to give you that momentum you need to clear it and this is done with a gradual but smooth acceleration when running. Although it's not just about running at the right speed so much as it is reaching the optimum speed needed to actually clear the cross bar when you do make the jump. Usually when someone starts off a high jump with a slow run at first then they'll only need the run to be about seven strides or there or more. But for fast runs they might need more of around twelve or more just to be able to clear the cross bar in the jump itself. And high jumpers need to practice a lot! Since they need to get their jumps perfect otherwise they wont pass.
