嘯於夜海 那一片湛藍風景

由作品脈絡觀之，可以發現陳傑強的創作與其生活息息相 關，無論是生活環境或是心境狀態上的轉譯，都能在每件 作品的呈現上觀察出藝術家創作當下的多重情境。霎時奔 放、片刻惆悵、時而雄心淌洩，這種種的複雜情懷，使他 的創作充滿著相似而迥異的奔放詩意、放縱而有序的日常 書寫。

2016 年，對陳傑強是個難熬的一年，對他而言這種幾近崩

另外，藍色，如陳傑強所說：「我覺得它很靠近我。」這

潰的生活也致使他在創作上的短暫停擺與靈感落失。在如

一系列的湛藍風景，就如同自我成像的過程，幾件奔放揮

此不安定的期間中，他選擇相信自己、相信自己所做的抉

灑的作品像是隨著時間的推移而在心境上所呈現不同變化

擇、所選擇的人生道路，徒步向前的過程裡則像是在回顧

的載體，像是一張張具有連續性的幻燈片，它所展呈的生

並細細閱讀著所歷經的一切，親手建構出「今天」的全貌。

命故事是那樣的真實、如此的平凡。反之，在這樣的真實、 平凡裡，卻不是如「夜海」表面所透漏的平靜。海面下的

「呼吸」般的一吸、一吐，令陳傑強憶起舊居附近夜晚的

暗潮洶湧、海水被沖散得支離破碎，這是無法由外觀所看

海，海潮一進、一退，浪順而波平，規律的出奇；然而，

見的、感覺的—這也就是藝術家想傳達的內在感受，藉由

潮湧帶來了海水，卻也在目的地打散了海水。夜晚的海，

這樣述說，使觀者能體會藝術家的浪漫情懷與波濤時分。

因視線的不明而能以多感官的方式來感受它，鹹鹹的海味、 波濤撲向岸邊的拍打聲與腳下坑坑洞洞的海蝕沿岸，都使 他身心舒暢，漸次拋去塵囂，回歸平靜。創作「夜海」對 陳傑強而言，是一種把自己「倒空」的過程，反映他在創 作上心境的動態起伏，有時平靜、放空、傾聽、沈澱，有 時則墜入思考漩渦、回憶、傾瀉等，這過程將作品形塑成 了一幅幅動態的影像，看似快轉、亦看似慢動作緩移，充 滿生命力，也能從中探知藝術家最真誠的下筆時刻。

Shouting at night in seaside The Cobalt Scenery To Tan, 2016 is a troublesome year. The devastated life leads to loss of aspirations and suspense of art creations. During this period, Tan chose to believe himself, trusted his own choices on the pathway of life, step by step walking toward and simultaneously looking back to review what have done by himself – in order to build the whole picture of “present”.

Viewing through the context of Tan’s works, we could discover the creations that highly related to his daily lives, as living surroundings and the changing states of mind and we can observe the feelings from the expressions of his touches.

Overflowing with enthusiasm, disconsolate and ambitious feelings intertwist in this series works and these emotions make Tan’s work become an untrammelled poetic diary.

Breathing-like inhalations and exhalations remind Tan of the dark sea near his old studio. The ebb and flow of tides always show its regular movements, however, tides bring seawater here and, in the meantime, disperse it. Due to the unclear view at night, people can feel the sea through multiple senses, instead of only using visual way to collect the imaginative pictures.

Salty smells, lapping waves and asperate rocks could get rid of madding crowd and guide him back to the peacetime. For Tan, the “Breathing”

series is the process of emptying himself.

Through creating these moving images, he could express the dynamic ups and downs of emotions which from unruffled, attentive, thinking and recalling actions in the mind. We could feel the most sincerely passion at the moments of his splashing.

Furthermore, “blue”, as Tan emphasized, “I think it is really ‘me’.” This series with cobalt scenery just like the procedure of “selfportraying”. Those splashing works could be seen as intermediary of mental state acting, revealing its reality and simpleness. In contrast, in this reality and simpleness world, there are undercurrents that we can not “feel” from the surface of moderate sea – this is the internal feeling he wants to deliver to the audience.

By this kind of absorbing strain, viewers could experience the romantic and disturbed feelings of the artist from his works.
