Dr Grant leads chapel on the final evening of KMC

Between 1997 and 1999, FCS more than doubled its enrollment, and it became evident that in order to guard the culture of the school, we needed to take steps to wisely and graciously enfold new students and their families. We had already pioneered a yearly summer educational conference, but we felt something more intimate, more covenantal, and more fun was needed.
At first, we considered the possibility of an all day retreat or field day with a picnic, but our plans grew quickly, and we decided to rent a camp facility. Thus was born King’s Mountain Camp, one of the most distinctive aspects of our life and history together.

The 2022 camp theme was "Close to the Coast." Students learned a variety of dances at the Camp dance, including the Hula

On Thursday of Camp week, FCS 6th graders join Lower and Upper Division for a day at KMC

Here we introduce the FCS Honor Code, King Alfred’s War Song, and many of the traditional stories and biblical principles that help set the culture of the school. The week culminates with students signing the honor code. Seniors pray over each class, and alumni come to pray for the seniors. This year a record 25 alumni came to pray over our senior class during the signing ceremony.
Sophomores are aboard the bus and excited for KMC!

Parents in Prayer Parent Testimonial
Just wanted to let you know how delighted our daughter has been to find how thoroughly equipped she is for college. She is so grateful to FCS and the amazing training she received! We FaceTimed for about an hour last night and I was thrilled to hear of her interactions with teachers and friends.
Thanksgiving
She is in a Great Books class and the first book is Dante’s Inferno Clearly, she had much to share, even in the introductory class! Yesterday she spoke about beauty, goodness, and truth in her Old Testament class. She is flying through her papers and so excellently prepared to excel this year.
FCS Parents in Prayer meetings are held on the second and fourth Fridays of each month at 10:00am. The meeting schedule for the fall semester is as follows:
All FCS Knights information can be found in the Athletics section of the FCS website and on the Sports Engine app. We are excited for the 2022 2023 season! Go Knights!

Our upper division students have received numerous compliments from Sonic management for the exemplary behavior and character they've demonstrated on their visits to Sonic. We are so proud of them!
FCS is thankful to be able to partner with Seth McDowell, a developer out of Mount Juliet, who loves what FCS is all about. He is working diligently on our behalf to bring us to our permanent home.
FCS has continued to pursue two property options over the past several months. Both properties have taken much longer than anticipated One property, which has an existing building on site, has been a primary focus The owners have not officially listed the property at this time, but we are maintaining contact with them about our interest.
Dear FCS Families, August 2022
This year is an exciting year to be a Knight!
Be assured, vetting potential properties is ongoing, so please continue sending us what you may run across We are so grateful for all input!
Sincerely, FCS Administration and Board of Trustees
A second property, which is land for a new build, is under consideration. We are studying the feasibility of how we would fit on the land with current construction already there and are beginning to take next steps on the property
We consider our Phase 1 of the capital campaign to be complete, and we are grateful for all your support in helping make this happen Once we secure the property for our future home, we will look to launch Phase 2. How awesome it will be to show you images of the future school and hold the dirt in our own hands!
And, most importantly, please continue to pray for our property search. God has worked mightily in the past several months, and we know and trust He will bring FCS to its next 30 years. We desire to proceed with wisdom and clarity, so your prayers in this regard are incredibly important as well. Thank you!
