On October 3, 2024, the highly anticipated eventcalledtheEnglishandCLDaywasdoneat SaintFrancisAcademy.Theeventwasfilledwith excitement, surprises, laughter, and performances.Asto what, SirRodelsaidonmy interview,"Theprogramwassoamazing;allthe performances went successful and was really entertainingas well.We'reverythankfultoallthat participated inthisevent,alsotoallourstaffand teachers for the efforts to make this event happen!”SamanthallanofromGrade9said"The eventitselfwas okay;Ilovedthepartwhenthere wasDisney characters thatshowedupineach classroom,andtheopeningnumberfromdifferent clubswere cool. "

There was a part in our event where specific students dress up as Disney Characters, which was one of the highlights in our event. The whole scene when the characters showed up was bringing the sense of magic and nostalgia to everyone. Some clubs also performed like the Journalism and Artist Guild clubs. The Journalism students performed a doxology,

NathaliaNilo,a,grade5pupil,said“Iwasnervouswhen I was dancing because I thought I didn't memorize the dance." All intermediate students took the stage and performed as one unit. Not to be left behind, students from junior high school also performed all together, showing the actors of Unity and discovering new ideas throughcreativity

IgnitingtheFranciscan Spirit:AQuest forGreatness

Within the walls of Saint Francis Academy, a spirit of sportsmanship is ignited, bringing togetherstudentsfromalldepartmentsfromthe Primary, to the Junior High School levels. They joyfully participated in this annual event that bringsoutthefunandunityamongstudents.This sportsfest not only consists of more than just a set of games, it also includes the enthusiasm of the crowds, the excitement of the competitions, andthecourageofteamwork.Fromthecheersof thecrowdtothestrengthandwillofeveryathlete, that brings out the best in every student. We’ll take a closer look at the excitement and educationallessonthiseventholds.

TheeventstartedwiththeLightingofTorchtoindicate the coordination of the athletes and the official start of the Sportsfest. Which was followed by the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals started, showcasing each teams: Glycon, Scylla, Hydra, Targaryen, Velaryon, and Lannister. Eachofthemshowedamazingcharmsandwitswhich engagestheaudienceandjudgesintherunaway.Once that was done, the Mass Demonstration began, with the primary department capturing the hearts of the studentswiththeircutebutmeaningfuldances.Andthe awaited performance that was well prepared and the hi hli ht fth f t i th Ch d titi

that part of the event was thrilling and exciting, more awaits us. The athletes proved that they deserve to be called athletes by showing their efforts to their chosen sports,whilerepresentingtheirteam.

After all the thrilling games and striking performances, everythingleadstoasinglemoment.It’srecognizingthe king of the hill, Let’s acknowledge Team Glycon and TeamTargaryenthatsurpassedit’sfellowcompetitors andgaveoutstandingresultsthatdidnotdisappoint.It is a journey of dedication, skill, and perseverance. It creates unforgettable memories and strengthens the bondbetweenparticipantsandsupporters.

Dasmariñas, Cavite – The much awaited interschool sports competition officially commenced at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas, a renowned institution known for its sprawling green campus and commitment to academic and athletic excellence. Schools competing in the LASSO competition gathered at the Chapel for an Opening Eucharistic Celebration, marking the start of the event with a moment of unity and reflection. Franciscan athletes arrived in full force, eager to compete and claim victory. The opening ceremony featured a grand parade, starting from the University Chapel and making its way to Ugnayang La Salle, with teams marching in unison, proudly bearing their colors and school spirit.

The competition heated up on January 29, as athletes pushed their limits in a fierce display of skill, strength, and determination. Spectators watched as teams clashed in various sporting events, each one vying for a coveted spot at the top of the leaderboard. The energy was electric, with cheers echoing across the venue as competitors gave their all. Today's event concluded with all schools coming together at Ugnayang La Salle for a Fraternal Dinner.

On January 30, the competition reached its thrilling conclusion, as the most outstanding athletes and teams were recognized for their achievements. Medals gleamed under the lights as winners took center stage, celebrating their hard-earned victories. Franciscans presented their school with pride, giving their best effort in every game, as the competition tested their physical abilities, and also strengthened their camaraderie and Lasallian spirit.

On November 29, 2024, Saint Francis Academy celebrated TLE Day with a unique event where grade 9 and 10 students showcased their talents in planning, marketing, cooking, and creativity. The event was a collaborative performance task between the two grade levels, with each grade divided into three groups. Grade 9 students prepared salad dishes, while grade 10 students prepared pasta dishes. The students worked together to set up and present their booths, demonstrating their skills in entrepreneurship, self-sufficiency, and teamwork. TLE Day is a oneof-a-kind event that recognizes the significance of Technology and Livelihood education, providing students with practical, life-saving skills that go beyond regular academic studies.

MCalico Diner showcased mac and cheese and spicy creamy pasta, inspiredbytheirAmerican-themedbrand.Meanwhile,Grade9'sGroup 2 prepared creamy cucumber salad and mango jelly salad. Despite limited stoves and slight communication challenges, the groups workedtogether,managingthecashregisterandassistingatthebooth.

Franciscani Italiani encountered difficulties. Sales were slow at first as the day went on, but they adjusted their ways and improved their presentation. The group quickly divided different tasks for each member. Despite the difficulties they had at the start it paid off when more customers started arriving. By the end of the day it was a success all of the pasta was sold out.

AtCucinaCalyza,studentsandteachersdiscovereduniquetreatsthatwereboth delightfulanddelicious.Runbyagroupfromthegrade10class,thestandoffered homemade lasagna, toaster sandwiches, and sweet fruit salads, along with refreshingsoftdrinks.Theatmospherewasexciting,withabusycashierrapidly takingordersandabustlingkitchenwherethearomaoffreshlyheatedlasagna andtoastedbreadfilledtheair.Overall,theeventwasaresoundingsuccess!
