About the Park District of Franklin Park
Founded in July 1964,The Park District of Franklin Park serves approximately 14,425 residents residing north of Grand Avenue in Franklin Park, o ers more than 250 programs each year, and operates 17 parks totaling 24.14 acres and four facilities.
Facilities include a year-round indoor Ice Arena, North Park Banquet Hall and Sports Arena, the Community Center, and the Pool on Paci c, an outdoor aquatic facility.

Penny Plunge
Tokens are scattered at the bottom of the pool and swimmers get to turn in tokens for prizes. Activities are primarily geared toward children ages 12 and under.

Touch a Truck
Kids of all ages can climb on and explore a variety of vehicles at this free family-friendly event. Activities are primarily geared toward children ages 10 and under.

Holiday Recital
The recital has become a local tradition for kicking o the holiday season. This two-day event is geared towards all ages.

Summer Concert Series
Every Tuesday evening join the Park District at our annual Summer Concert Series. Held at North Park, this free outdoor event features 8 concerts held throughout the summer.

Park Parties
Spend an evening with your neighbors and meet Park District sta . These casual gatherings are part of a four year park tour where we visit every park in the district.

Moonlight Movies
Throughout the year, we host 2 movies in the park for all ages. Families spend the evening enjoying a cinema under the stars.
