We are lucky to call many places home - Jupiter, Florida, where we became friends; Mavrovo, Macedonia, where we became more; Barichara, Colombia, where Fernando proposed (thrice - I said yes every time); Barcelona, Spain, where we found my dress; Tryon, North Carolina, where we found my ring; and of course, the Black Hills, in South Dakota, where we had these photos taken. Our relationship has taken us around the world, and we’ve had more than our share of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Still, when I think about our lifetime to come, the images that come to mind aren’t of crossing the Transsiberian or of “penguin!”ing our way through the Antarctic, but of cozy pancake mornings and apple pie under the skylight. Because wherever our everyday may be, it’s being together that makes life worth living, in the end. Here’s to a lifetime of together.
