SARAH RICE*

Sarah Rice is the proud mom of Finley (3rd grade) and wife to Justin Rice. She and Justin began regularly attending FPC when they were dating and became Covenant Partners after they married in 2010. She’s involved with the Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study, serves on the Children’s Ministry Committee and, along with Justin, is part of the Marriage Sunday School class. Sarah enjoys the outdoors - especially gardening and making pieces from things she finds in nature. Her hobbies include building relationships, volunteering at Finley’s school, reading, traveling, and shopping thrift stores and estate sales. She loves to create community through one-on-one interactions and small group activities. As a Deacon, Sarah looks forward to fostering and strengthening the FPC family through authentic, relational outreach.

Deborah Rogers

Louis Zbinden married David and I at First Presbyterian Church in 1988. When we moved to San Antonio in 1991, we joined FPC. We raised our three children here and have been blessed in countless ways over the years by our church community. I am a Trustee and Board Member of the H. E. Butt Foundation. I’ve served numerous Deacon rotations over the years and it’s a joy and privilege to return and serve our covenant partners. Other of my roles at FPC include Officer Nominating Committee, PW (WOC) Circle Chair, Genesis ll member and, along with David, elementary Sunday School teacher. We give our time to the work and ministries of the H. E. Butt Foundation, Laity Lodge, Laity Lodge Youth Camps and our Foundation Camps in the hill country. Our three children are married and have given us four beloved grandchildren, ages four to 18 months. I love spending as much time with them as possible between San Antonio, Dallas and Tennessee. I enjoy travel, reading, painting, photography and fiber arts.
