ELDERS IN CLASS 2026

BILL SIRAKOS*

Bill and his wife Debra along with daughter Maggie and son Luke moved to San Antonio in 1996 from Mint Hill, North Carolina and soon thereafter joined FPC. In Mint Hill, Bill served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons at the Presbyterian church where the Sirakos family were longtime Covenant Partners. At FPC Bill has been a member of the Personnel Committee, worked on Habitat for Humanity houses, served as an occasional Sunday School teacher and has served as a volunteer in the Loaves and Fishes program. Bill retired from Frost Bank in 2019 where he served as the Head of the Capital Markets Division and as the Chief Economist and now spends his time ranching, playing baseball and having pure fun with his four wonderful grandchildren, whom God has blessedly brought home to San Antonio along with their parents. Bill believes that the best way to serve the Lord is to be armed with knowledge of the Bible and has committed to daily Bible reading and a Bible Study group at Frost Bank which they still allow him to attend despite having retired.

LYNN THOMPSON*

Lynn returned to First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio from Santa Monica, California in 1994 with her husband and their two sons Will and Jim Jr. Lynn and Jim were married by Dr. Louis Zbinden, and both boys baptized by him, so it felt good to be home. Lynn has reaped the many blessings of our loving church family through teaching Sunday School, coordinating Vacation Bible School, serving on committees such as personnel, property, children’s, staff search, and officer nominating. Other areas of involvement include Women of the Church (President), Deacon (Moderator), and active member of Circles 1/12, Shawl Ministry, Care & Concern, and Circle 20 (Service), as well as Sunday School classes and Pastors Bible Study/Thursday small group, and Mexico mission trips. Lynn also serves on the board and executive board of the Texas Presbyterian Foundation. Lynn is honored to be called and humbled to serve as an elder for our beloved Covenant Partners of First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio. Lynn loves being retired from computer consulting yet still being a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother to three.
