Pushkar Mela 2016 - Enjoy The Real Culture Of Rajasthan The Pushkar Fair is locally known as Pushkar ka Mela is an annual five-day camel and livestock fair held in Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is one of the world’s largest camel fairs. The Pushkar camel fair 2016 is held more than competitions like the “MATKA PHOD”, “longest moustache”, and “bridal competition”. In Pushkar fair, tourists have also played a cricket game because recently fair has also involved an exhibition cricket match between the local Pushkar club and a team of random foreign tourists. The Pushkar camel festival 2016 is started from 8th of November to 14th of November 2016.

The Pushkar camel fair starts with buying and selling of camels and horses, goats, and others animals and by day 5 the mood starts to change towards the celebration. In these 4 days tourist can enjoy the folk dance and folk song competition. You also enjoy mustache competition in man. It is most interesting competition in a fair.

The Pushkar camel fair tour is considered one of Asia’s largest cattle fairs. Different states come to visit the fair. Most of the state are coming to join and sell or buys camel and other animals like - goat, horse. In Pushkar, fair women manage stalls which exhibit accessories, clothes, textiles, and fabrics. Camel Race The sight of camels decorated brightly racing to the finish line is a sight to behold.

Competitions are held for both animals and humans. Camel race is the first event at the fest and will be held on the closing days of the Pushkar fair. 25000 camels have participated in the race.

Most Famous Visiting Sight In Pushkar The sacred town of Pushkar is spotted with various temples .Brahma Temple, being a major attraction. It is one of the few temples in India that is dedicated to the Hindu creator - god Brahma. Other temples are the Sri Sawai Bhoj Temple, Mahadev Temple, Varaha Temple, Sri Vaikunthnathji Temple and Savitri Temple. In Pushkar are also the major attraction of the Man Mahal and Gurudwara Singh Sabha.
