This amazing palace located in Jaipur, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, includes the Chandra mahal and the Mubarak Mahal palaces. It was the seat of the maharaja of Jaipur who was the head of the Kachwaha Rajput clan. The palace is an interesting blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture.

Hawa mahal, Jaipur

The Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, was built as a screen that allowed women in the royal household to observe the festivities in the street unseen. The entire screen is built of red and pink sandstone.
