LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Art entrepreneur and CEO of MTArt Agency, Marine Tanguy, commences her role as Rosewood London PlaceMaker, cultivating culture and community through immersive art experiences and programming. Coinciding with the Frieze Art Fair, this October Marine brings the first of three exhibitions to the hotel.

‘GIVE’, by sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, takes up residency in Rosewood London’s courtyard only for the month, so don’t miss your chance to see the iconic ‘hand’ installation. To celebrate the installation, Executive Pastry Chef Mark Perkins and Tanguy have created a bespoke olive cake dessert inspired by the sculpture and olive tree that sits within the hands. Throughout Frieze and the month of October, guests looking to experience the artwork can enjoy a glass of Ruinart Champagne alongside the delicate cake from the Mirror Room, offering the perfect vantage point.

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND — Underlining his ethos to utilize Scotland’s natural larder to create exceptional dining experiences, Head Chef Jonny Wright sought out some of the country’s most innovative suppliers, including: Gilmour Butchers is a Scottish, third-generation, family-run butcher. Their beef is selected from small-batch, sustainable farms who grass feed the animals throughout the summer and use silage in winter, which allows them to supply some of the best, eco-conscious beef in the world.

Harvesting from a 40km stretch of seabed, Mara Seaweed have been pioneering developments in high quality organic and 100% natural seaweed since 2011. Their hand-harvested seaweed is taken from pure, clean Scottish waters, areas chosen for high intertidal range producing nutrient-rich crops and a range of species holding incredible umami rich flavors.

Over on the West Coast, Blackthorn Salt uses 100% clear local seawater and nothing else to create sustainable, clean and unrefined salt crystals and flakes. The seawater is slowly trickled through the world’s only working Thorn Tower whilst being evaporated by exhilarating West Coast winds.

All of the suites at Casa Majani, Punta Mita are amazing, but my favorite by far, is Keili. This particular suite sits almost suspended over the cantilevered infinity pool. Not only can you jump straight into the pool from your deck, but you can “walk on water” to the pool deck each morning.

The Hammam ritual at Casa San Agustín in Cartagena is a revered Moroccan Tradition, which even today is appreciated all over the world. The ritual takes place in a humid steam chamber where the body is rinsed and cleansed prior to a vigorous exfoliation with a scrub of Coffee, volcanic mud and pure tobacco which is thoroughly purifying for the body. The treatment can be performed by the therapist, administered between couples, or self-applied (without therapist).
