A weeklong immersion founded on the premise of experiential learning beyond the classroom, Interim encourages the exploration of new cultures, customs, and experiences that transform students’ perspectives and passions for life.

Make the Most of Your Fountain Valley Experience

By the end of the school year, you will have plenty of opportunities to take full advantage of everything that Fountain Valley School has to offer discovering new interests and passions both in and outside of the classroom, trying new extracurricular activities and harnessing existing skills either in the theater or on the athletic playing field, and developing the emotional well-being to handle any challenges that can come your way.

International Student Retreat

Includes an overnight stay with a day student to forge new connections, promote understanding and exploration, and create harmony.

SEPTEMBER

International Student Dinner Culture is evolving. Are you leading the way? Learn American dining etiquette, how to greet people properly, how to make small talk, how to set up a table properly and how to wrap up a conversation politely.

Then, it’s off to the Head of School’s house where international students will put their new skills to the test while savoring delicious dishes from around the world with new friends, share stories and laughter, and demonstrate competent cultural behaviors in a formal setting.

Social Media Swagger: Balance, Fun, Fame & Respect

Enhances critical thinking to assess the credibility of information.

Teaches the importance of privacy and security online. Equips you with the tools to engage respectfully and thoughtfully in digital communities

A weekend retreat promotes belonging and inclusion. You’ll get to know others and yourself while participating in a variety of activities including ice breakers and storytelling circles, completing identity collages, discussing stereotypes, the power of words and culture in everyday life, and reflecting on ways that you can make a difference and help foster change.
