WELCOME SHINE CLUBS provide peace of mind to all parents and carers by providing a safe and stimulating environment where children can play, have fun and learn whilst being cared for by our qualified and experienced staff.

We understand what parents expect for their children when choosing childcare, so we provide comprehensive range of services that reduces the pressure on parents and provides maximum benefits for the children. SHINE CLUBS believes all children regardless of their personal circumstances or abilities should be able to participate in and enjoy our array of activities. It improves a child’s confidence to get involved with the session, have the skills to participate and show a desire to improve and achieve.

SERVICES:

ARTS & CRAFTS At SHINE CLUBS Arts & Crafts are used to stimulate, children are very motivated when they spend time on arts and crafts projects. This helps develop creativity and concentration in the children not seen in other disciplines. The dedication that some children display in their projects can be very surprising to parents.

Children gain a huge benefit from arts and crafts such as improving their motor skills, which are fine bodily movements involving muscular activity such as writing and tying laces. A child’s general eye to hand coordination and attention to detail can dramatically improve too.

These gains and many more can be obtained through exposure to fun activities like arts and crafts.

SERVICES:

PLAYTIME SHINE CLUBS encourages children to play because of the many benefits that playing brings. Playing helps children to become more dynamic and active and this helps in their growth and development regardless of age. Children need to explore the world around them and playing allows a child to develop their skills for solving problems. Encouraging children to solve age appropriate issues is essential for their development.

Another huge benefit of playing is the development of imagination.

Children interpret the world through their imagination and this gives them a great sense of control.

Allowing young children to play with toys such a plastic telephones and general objects such as blocks allows active use of their imagination which in turn develops a child’s social and creative skills. As they get older they continue to develop these skills by playing games such as rope jumping, hopscotch, board and computer games.

By playing with other children they learn how to share, how to negotiate, how to get along with other children and how to be assertive when necessary. Playing also develops a child’s ability to compete and win! This is usually done through group games and team sports.

SHINE CLUBS implement qualified sports coaches from our sister company Foundation Sports.

Foundation Sports have coaches across Europe, North America and Asia with the aim of improving the quality of coaching to boys and girls or all ages and abilities, hopefully laying foundations for their sporting futures.

As you can see there are many benefits to playing and that why SHINE CLUBS encourages the use of playing within its sessions.

BOOKING PROCEDURE In the first instance a registration form is required for every child. To secure a place at SHINE CLUBS you will need to fill out a booking form that can be found at the school office. You can book for a one off session or for an entire half term.

We understand the difficulties of juggling a career and looking after school aged children. It is almost impossible to find reliable low cost child care. To employ a nanny costs a fortune and childminders are unable to offer the flexibility needed for families with children of school age.

SHINE CLUBS work in conjunction with the needs of parents and carers. We provide a service that supports today’s demanding lifestyle.

COSTS & TIMES Breakfast Club Breakfast – 8.00am to 8.45am – £3 Breakfast with food – 7.30am to 8.45am – £4* *Food includes cereal, toast, milk or water.

After School Club After School 1 – 3.15pm to 4.30pm – £6 After School 2 – 4.30pm to 5.45pm – £6 Food is available at both after school sessions and includes fresh fruit and sandwiches.

All sessions take place Monday to Friday when the school is open.

FURTHER INFORMATION SHINE CLUB directors, the manager and the area to be used at your school have been registered and approved by Ofsted.
