Colloredo di Monte Albano. The Colloredo Castle is one of the most impressive of those scattered over the Morainic Hills. Its position reveals its function as a point of surveillance over the surrounding countryside and the road. It once belonged
to the Colloredo Meis family. Almost entirely destroyed in the 1976 earthquake, it is now in the process of restoration. Ippolito Nievo was a guest here in 1858 when he escaped to the country to work on his novel Confessioni d’un Italiano.
