How Do I Eat? by Pratyut Anand Refrigerator Refrigerator. Lord bring me some food such as potatoes. I forget to eat. I need a mentor. I eat with my toes, I eat with my nose. My mentor gives classes on how to eat. He makes a good profit every day. And sometimes I never get a good seat. How do I eat, How do I eat, they say. My mentor knows how to eat proper food. Nobody knows how to eat properly. My mentor is never in a good mood. This behavior is shown permanently. People this point have very good manners There is something called the eating scanner.

The Necessity of War

- Evan Birdwell

The presence of war in our lives has been crucial from the start yet, sadly it cuts humanity like knives and gives many a soldier a purple heart

Modern society is built on war and now, there is no changing. From all of these violent uproars, we have found methods for exchanging.

War has, and always will shape the world in which we all live, and the warriors who couldn’t escape have also coaxed us to forgive

War has changed the way people think, tweaking religions, arts, and science and when we were on the very brink we have made things with modern appliance

War is not the best solution, no, not by any means. yet it has been a large contribution To the way society leans.

If we could go back, and stop all wars, I’m sure we would find another way. But we can not go back and change to core of what has advanced us so much today.

Facing Reality 2/8/17 7-3 Reality is like a killer. Killing people’s dreams. But as it is sad to admit. It is hard to face. Reality is the truth. And the truth is the Hide and seek champion. As no one can hide from it.

-Dario

Michael Imagination Imagination is when you make up things in your head Usually when you are in your bed In your sleep Dreaming deep deep and deep In your mind Somewhere safe where you can find By: MICHAEL CARDIN

Depressing Love -Angela Cheng What kind of love is this? Is it really love if I feel pain? Aren't you supposed to be happy when you're in love? Doesn’t my love for you make you bliss? Are my attempts of loving you vain? Should I just free myself from you and fly away like a dove? Is this what some people call depressing love?

Withdrawal -Mya Duhart I am going Down, Down, Down Down into sadness Down into pain Down into loneliness But I saw a light, I rose up, up,up Up into relief Up into happiness Up into light

One Day By: Alexa Hawkins Created: 2/8/17 One day... I want a feeling that would lift me up in the sky, And make my stomach have butterflies. A feeling that's is so strong, that if it leaves, I leave to. A feeling so effective, that I won't be able to breathe. A feeling so lovable, that it makes me want to scream. I have dreamed to have this feeling for a long time. So long that it ends at the end of time. This feeling is worth fighting for, crying for, and hurting for. This feeling is so special to me, And I hope I get it, One day....... This feeling is called, Love,

“Leafless” By Axel Y. Estrada (written at 8:00pm, Feb 7, 2017)

Life is like a leaf So simple, so Free, Floating Down so gently

Amanda

Around me I see people falling And looking at me as if in pain. Around me I see desperation As people beg for a change As if I’m their foundation. But as I cry out in fear For the people that I love, I feel the ground shake And I stop, And wait, and listen, And watch the saviors come to our rescue, Then I smile, For there will always be another hope, And with this hope, We will come out of the dark And hear the lark sing.

Cats-Seth Cats are calm, I like their purr. They keep life from being plain, But if you forget to feed them, They will drive you insane!

A Christian- by Elizabeth Kerr

You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? You call yourself a Christian but is that just fiction? Stand for God, but don't be a fraud. Trust in Him, don't be dim. He loves you so, but you should know, that long long ago, and sometime tomorrow, that you should undergo, a change that he knows.

Shreeya Ignorance is PainYou can often find it Ignorance is pain Some say it’s bliss

Just look for a bad attitude. Ignorance is horrible

I say it’s both

Ignorance is mean

Waiting in the mist.

Ignorance is a pain

Ignorance is torture

That I’ve seen plenty

Ignorance is rude

Winners, Losers, Quitters Losing isn’t fun But it doesn’t mean you’re done You’re finished if you quit And that means you can’t win If you lose and win At least then You won at all But if you fall And don’t get up Then you’ve given up And you’re stuck

By Robert Lamberson

They laugh as you trip Watch the hearts rip But what’s the gain? Do they just enjoy our pain? But when you do the same they just raise their lip But there is nothing we can do So you should just cry and say who? Who would want this? To see the person’s tears gliss So don’t say a word until you’re told to Humanity is cruel We like to believe we rule Because we tear each other apart But for what art? But we go along and act cool So we wait Wait for the day we get to escape That’s the only thing we desire So plans we conspire But don’t be late

No, they’re much deeper within You can’t get out without committing a sin Cause you know what they say We our locked in our minds But don’t let that bind We want to be free But how can that be? So go and rewind

“Trapped In Thoughts” By Katelyn Mace

To a much simpler time Were you don’t rhyme And find a way out Of yourself and route The crime Because no one’s free in their own mind It’s a puzzle of time That will unwind At the worst of moments

Staying Strong by Sriya Macherla Strong but then weak Happiness, stress, confusion Unaware of possible tragedies But deep inside my soul is strong Determined to be free Where will it end?

“Doomed Town

Buildings burn down The atmosphere feels like a death town Crash! Crash! Crash! Is the only noise This battle may not end up like Yorktown All of the young boys Seem to abandon their home like broken toys Bombs start to explode Then they start to destroy They were not even slowed There remains no road Only fighters remain Then the soldiers start to unload

I watched But I had not perceived Blindfolded by a sheer cloth Before my eyes A dream was weaved Without control I faded away I had not realized I escaped reality Yet I had come to a conclusion Illusion is reality And reality is an illusion -Raga Mandali

Here, as you see lies Gerald’s rock, It sits right next to a marine institute dock. If you ask nicely he will give you a pail, But when shooed off, he will leave a trail,

Life is a Prison by Reha Nunna This prison

And burning anything

In which I am stuck in.

That goes against it.

We call it life.

It gets worse every second

It ruins us.

And can only be extinguished

It is like a fire, Tearing down everything in its path

With water, or in this case Love

Tyranny By Affan Smani 2/7/17

Tyranny is evil Most who cause it are considered regal It’s cruel and oppressive With it, no one can be progressive Most people consider it evil and illegal When people revolt it’s like an upheaval Tyranny is not created by our society’s people Hopefully it will be in the grave by the sequel The floodgates will open without the dam
