MISSION STATEMENT
FWADA is a unique arts organization in a unique American place. Few cities of Fort Worth’s size are privileged to command such a wealth of major art museums, and fewer still have such a vital community spirit. What truly sets Fort Worth apart, however, is the vigorous, longstanding, clearly defined cooperation between the museums, the university art galleries, the non-profit exhibition spaces, and the art dealers, all of which are full working members of FWADA.
To fulfill its stated mission to stimulate interest in the visual arts through educational programs, art scholarships, and art competitions, FWADA organizes, funds, and hosts exhibitions of noteworthy art.
FWADA sponsors the annual Fall Gallery Night and Spring Gallery Night for members and friends. FWADA also sponsors an annual show featuring submitted artworks from Member institutions, the summer Selections exhibition. Keep an eye out for our Gallery Guide! You can find our most recent issue in your FW Weekly newspaper, or pick one up at a Member gallery or museum.
All these attainments have created a stable environment that produces a steady stream of top-notch talent, including major local artists who exhibit their work nationally and internationally. Newcomers are frequently dazzled by the quality of work being created in every medium and style. Their passion reinvigorates Fort Worth patrons who have become habituated to the riches that surround them, reminding them anew that the most authentic cultural connection they can make is the one that affords direct communication with the artists who interpret and illuminate the life experience they share through common background and interests. Although the city is justly recognized for its cosmopolitan worldview, it is the local artists and their devoted collectors who are the lifeblood of the Fort Worth art market.
The members of the Fort Worth Art Dealers Association are pledged to the maintenance of a high standard of ethical conduct and professional integrity; these businesses furnish a model that gallery associations in other cities might do well to emulate. FWADA is to be commended for its important role as a contributor to the cultural and aesthetic richness of Fort Worth.

As an artist, Chasity has always been drawn to creating and all of its wonders. Her process typically involves selecting a material such as raw stone or metal. The inherent qualities of the material guide Chasity as she carves and shapes. She is drawn to the rawness of stone and torn discarded metal where she searches and catches the image that she sees. Chasity then works to re-fine and add detail to each piece. She allows the final composition to emerge, organically and intuitively. Chasity hopes that her sculptures will capture the spirit of the material but also will inspire a sense of connection and solidarity among viewers.
One will, also, see works by Rebecca Low, Terry Jones, Crescencio Parra, David Searl, David Mikitka, Dewane Hughes, Joe Allred, David Burkhart, R.D. Nall and jewelry by Dale Ousley and Juliette Edgerton.

GALLERY NIGHT HOURS: 12-9 PM
Together, a debut solo exhibition by Fort Worth painter and sculptor UNO, is an appreciation of togetherness, of the delight and purpose found in congregating. Informed by UNO’s feelings of separation during the lockdown while society was unable to perform the most mundane of tasks, UNO’s work focuses on how human interaction is crucial to a thriving society with a sense of belonging to something greater than self. The compositions depict abstracted figures in their most elemental forms. When viewed collectively, the colorful, dynamic figures move throughout the space as individual energies fusing together to forge an even greater energy source. Echoing ancient cave paintings, UNO’s stylized minimalist format communicates with marks that are universal and enduring. Female figures represent creativity, possibility, and an innate connection and the artists’ joy and creative vision of togetherness.

Galeria de la Rosa - Sneaky Density: Housing the Working Class Exhibition by Dennis Antonio Chiessa, Julia Lindgren and Lizzie MacWillie
As cities struggle to provide enough adequate housing for their citizens, there is a need to develop new ideas and typologies that address the housing crisis directly. Growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex continues to provide challenges in addressing housing shortages, especially for cost-burdened communities and those in danger of gentrification, displacement, or chronic homelessness. This exhibition proposes ‘Sneaky Density’ as a solution. It presents contextual research and speculative design solutions developed as part of a design studio partnership between buildingcommunityWORKSHOP and the University of Texas at Arlington College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs.
The work is focused on affordable neighborhoods in historically discriminated communities of color, including Dolphin Heights in Dallas and the North Side of Fort Worth. It promotes two or more units on a single-family lot to achieve a “medium density.” Key to Sneaky Density is the idea that increased density does not require changing the existing character of single-family neighborhoods. Additionally, the exhibition explores higher-density multifamily developments that address contextual opportunities. The exhibition argues for density as a solution to the housing crisis, and it shows that hidden and informal densities have existed in cities and can be used strategically by designers.
