Position Summary Rebuilds, repairs and maintains machines, tools, and equipment. Conducts preventive maintenance checks & service on rental equipment to make sure equipment is clean and all parts are working according to standard. Prepares sold equipment for shipping to customer and rental equipment for field use by customers. Keeps work area clean and follows company safety rules. No Travel Required!

FIELD TECHNICIAN

Position Summary Fuses polyethylene (HDPE plastic) pipe using McElroy Fusion equipment to meet customer needs; trains customers in use of electro-fusion and safe operation of fusion equipment; assists with shipping, provides basic troubleshooting of field equipment and may perform additional duties.Travel Required. Home Most Weekends.

• Analyzing and coordinating technical requirements for scheduled customer projects (e.g. design, complex applications, maintenance, replacement, etc.) including on-site review for the customer if necessary.

• Entering customer orders and service assignments for internal processing and planning.

Coordinating, scheduling and monitoring of progress during processing / implementation.

• Assisting with and monitoring delivery and invoicing.

• Providing technical support and after-sales services to designated customers.

Processing of complaints and disruptions, including problem assessment, implementation of necessary actions, follow-up and correspondence with technical support from Service or specialized department where necessary (e.g. in regard to substantive processing or system support).

• Technical support (substantive processing, system support) to Service Department.

• Training customers and making presentations regarding technical and economic aspects of MR products, maintenance strategies / technical issues.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications Other language highly desirable.

Work Environment This position will be based in Humboldt, TN and operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role using computer and phone; however, some visits to field will be required. This would require the ability to drive a car, walk, climb ladders or scaffolding wearing PPE. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear as well as use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. 1020% travel could be expected for this position by car or by plane.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with a 45 minute lunch with occasional overtime required.
