Enhancing Your Authentic Self!

With their respected reputation in the community and a very relatable motto of “Well Beyond Beauty,” Dr. Leigh Summer and the staff of Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics are known for bringing out the best in their clients. Blessed to be part of the Lewisville community for over a decade, the practice emphasizes a patient-oriented philosophy that embraces education and finding selfconfidence from within!

“At Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics, we really do believe in a ‘whole person’ kind of aesthetics,” says practice owner Dr. Leigh Summer. Since opening the business in 2008, Dr. Summer and her staff have encouraged clients to embrace their belief that looking and feeling healthy and beautiful is about more than just products and services. Dr. Summer has always wanted every patient crossing their threshold to feel welcome and feel heard, and to receive excellent physician-directed, highly customized aesthetic care. It’s a hefty goal, but one every staff member takes very seriously! In 2020, an exciting expansion at the practice added more treatment rooms and improved areas for relaxation.

“When you’re addressing issues related to physical appearance, you’re making yourself very vulnerable,” says Dr. Summer. “We want to be that welcoming place where we’re building relationships with our patients, and they trust our guidance completely. You need to be able to trust a provider not to simply sell you something, but to be invested in your overall well-being.” Their goal is to be encouraging but never pushy. For years, Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics has offered a wide spectrum of services including laser hair removal, feminine rejuvenation, brows and lashes, skincare, vein treatment, and sun damage repair, and their injectors have a combined experience of over 30 years! The Lewisville Laser team is also excited to introduce a new member, Katie Warren, BSN, RN, who has been a practicing nurse for 12 years, and has worked in aesthetics for the last eight years. She joins the Lewisville team as an injector for Botox and Dysport, facial fillers, and Kybella, but will also do laser hair removal and state-of-the-art tattoo removal using PicoWay laser therapy.

Clients new to the practice are encouraged to take advantage of a complimentary aesthetic consultation. “A new patient consultation is like an extended introduction,” says Kristin Carson, Dr. Summer’s assistant and office manager. “We want to get to know you in a welcoming, low-pressure setting. That’s why our aesthetic consultations are always half an hour, and they are always free!”

Listening closely at the first meeting with a potential patient is extremely important, so the Lewisville aestheticians can determine the main issue on that patient’s mind – what literally brought them to the point of making that initial phone call. Learning all the details of a patient’s general health, as well as their hopes for both short- and long-term results, couldn’t be more important. “We take a set of photos which serve as a sort of springboard to start the conversation on treatment plans,” says Dr. Summer. “For example, if a prospective patient sees a photo of themselves and immediately says they look angry – even when they are not angry at all – we know those expression lines between the eyebrows can be a perfect starting point.” It’s always the patient’s concerns that ultimately drive their treatment plan, based on a real collaboration with the team of injectors and aestheticians.
