Would you rather have telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind) or telepathy (the ability to read minds)? Telekinesis because it sounds like a fun party trick and possibly useful in my daily life.

Would you rather give up air conditioning and heating for the rest of your life or give up the Internet for the rest of your life? I would NEVER give up the internet. I truly love it too much - shopping, chatting, learning - all available wherever you are 24/7.

Would you rather have a personal maid or a personal chef? Personal chef. I hate even having to think about food let alone planning and preparing it.

Would you rather always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank? Full phone battery. I go into a panic when I don’t know where I am and I feel like a phone would help me out of that situation more than gas would.

Would you rather have cookies or cake? Cake. Because, duh. It’s cake.

Would you rather have telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind) or telepathy (the ability to read minds)? I would rather have the ability to read minds. It would probably save me from asking potentially embarrassing/stupid questions or make untrue assumptions.

Would you rather give up air conditioning and heating for the rest of your life or give up the Internet for the rest of your life? Easy one. I lived for a number of years (not saying how many) without internet and survived. I cannot, however, live without air conditioning unless I am spending the rest of my life living in Maine.

Would you rather have a personal maid or a personal chef? Another easy one…neither. I definitely do not want someone following me around the house and I love to cook so I guess the maid and the chef need not apply for a job with me.

Would you rather always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank? Definitely a full tank of gas and preferably gas that would be used in a plane to get me to Turkey or Paris.

Would you rather have cookies or cake? Impossible to answer. This is like asking which one of your children you like best. I want my cookies and I want to eat my cake too.

Mike Combest, Council

Would you rather have telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind) or telepathy (the ability to read minds)? Yes....And i knew you were going to ask that.

Would you rather give up air conditioning and heating for the rest of your life or give up the Internet for the rest of your life? No.

Would you rather have a personal maid or a personal chef? Yes.

Would you rather always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank? Yes.

Would you rather have cookies or cake? Definitely yes.

Bradley Taylor, Council

btaylor@clemmons.org 336-439-5182

Would you rather have telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind) or telepathy (the ability to read minds)? Telekinesis. This would be great because I enjoy conversation, so let’s make living easier haha!

Would you rather give up air conditioning and heating for the rest of your life or give up the Internet for the rest of your life? Internet…seems odd for me, a Gen Z person. I like my homeostasis temp but would be okay going back to basics. Let’s go check out an encyclopedia in 46 volumes haha!

Would you rather have a personal maid or a personal chef? Maid because I enjoy cooking too much to have someone do it for me!

Would you rather always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank? Full gas tank… good for travel, heat, cooking and more.

Would you rather have cookies or cake? Cookies (specifically chocolate chip, warm with a soft center)

Chris Wrights, Council

cwrights@clemmons.org 336-978-0816

Would you rather have telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind) or telepathy (the ability to read minds)? Telepathy would make it much easier to choose a place to eat when my wife tells me to choose because she doesn’t care where we eat. My first 2 or 3 choices usually end up getting rejected.

Would you rather give up air conditioning and heating for the rest of your life or give up the Internet for the rest of your life? I’d give up AC and heat. As a Realtor having access to the internet is a must.

Would you rather have a personal maid or a personal chef? Maid. I can always run through a drive through real quick if I need food. There isn’t a quick solution to cleaning the house when you have 3 kids.

Would you rather always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank? Full gas tank. Gas is expensive so if there was a way my tank could stay full all of the time without me having to fill it up that would be great.

Would you rather have cookies or cake? Cake. I could eat a slice of red velvet cake with every meal.

How Do I Start?

BY MARZANO CAPITAL GROUP

How should I start investing? This is a popular question our team has received for many years now. With so many opinions floating around due to the age of social media and technology, it can become quite overwhelming. This may be even more true for the individual who has their hands full with professional and family responsibilities/commitments.

In our opinion, there is no one-size-fits-all investment product out there. As a matter of fact, we feel if the conversation you are having with your investment professional is product-based, not goal-based, it is probably time for a second opinion.

One way we strive to learn about each client’s goals and where they may like to start is to simply ask about their short-term and long-term goals. We feel it is imperative to learn about our client’s wishes and time horizon long before we make a recommendation. We also make sure we introduce the team of Financial Advisors to incoming clients so multiple investment professionals can provide input and hopefully contribute additional value to the client’s financial situation.

You may be one of those folks asking the question, “How do I get started investing?” Below are some points to discuss with your possible Financial Advisor(s) regarding how to get started: 1) Let’s say you don’t have a large lump sum to start investing with, yet you have some extra dollars on a monthly basis you would like to put to work. Ask the

Advisor what their Firm’s procedure/process is for setting up systematic investment programs for clients.

2) Ask the Advisor how they are compensated when you make deposits to be invested. Do they accept commissions? Or are they a fee-based firm? Do you pay any transaction cost in the trading process?

3) Discuss account minimums. Some Investment

Firms have restrictions on deposits they will accept based on amount.

4) Know what you own and why you own it. This is important no matter where you invest your funds.

There are many other topics to discuss when you’re looking to invest your hard-earned dollars, but we hope this article can give you the confidence to start the conversation. We believe it is a privilege to be in this profession and we work hard to make sure our clients know we feel this way. Thank you for taking the time to read our column!
