Chemiluminescencedetector(CD)isafastandsensitivenewdetectordevelopedin recentyears,knownforitsadvantagesoflowpriceandwidelinearrangeThe principleisthatcertainsubstancesundergochemicalreactionsatroomtemperature togeneratereactionintermediatesorreactionproductsinanexcitedstate,and whentheyreturntothegroundstatefromtheexcitedstate,theyemitphotons.

Sincetheenergyoftheexcitedstateofmattercomesfromchemicalreactions,itis calledchemiluminescence.Whentheseparatedcomponentsareelutedfromthe chromatographiccolumn,theyareimmediatelymixedwithanappropriate chemiluminescentreagenttocauseachemicalreactionthatcausestheluminescent substancetoemitradiation,theintensityofwhichisproportionaltothe concentrationofthesubstance.
