Middle Grade Young Adult
KRABAT was founded by Helle Perrier and Tanja R. Bisgaard on a cold December day in 2019. We are based in Denmark.
Our vision is to publish literature for children and young adults that is exciting and fun to read. We want to take them on journeys into space and into the future, help them visit magical places and get to know new people in the stories they read.
We also believe books can be a source of both adventure and knowledge at the same time. That is why we created our Klodebøger - Earth books. These are stories about the environment, climate change and sustainability. Some books have facts about the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the back, and for all of them we have created materials to be used for teaching at school. We combine Helles knowledge about litterature and Tanjas knowledge about sustainability to ensure the books are exciting as well as educational.

Fashion vs Earth
Did you know that it takes just as much water to make a pair of jeans as you drink in ten years? And did you know that there is an entire mountain of old clothes in Ghana that no one wants to wear?
We are buying more clothes than ever and fashion companies are producing new collections at a rate never seen before. That is hard on our planet as well as the climate.
Fashion vs Earth explains some of the challenges the production of clothing has on the climate, nature and the people that make it. It also offers some suggestions on what you as a young person can do - and how you can remain fashionable without it being at the expense of our planet.
