STAINED GLASS CLASSES TIFFANY STYLE & GLASS MOSIAC: with Ann McFadyen This course teaches the art of creating stained glass mainly using the Tiffany style copper foil method and glass mosaic. Beginners receive full instruction and demonstration, with help and advice as required to create your own masterpiece! Ann McFadyen is on hand to share her vast knowledge and experience and has been teaching at Forgan for over 20 years! Bring along an image to work from or create your own design. Suitable for all abilities, 16y+. Materials and sundries can be purchased from the tutor. An eight week course to create a leaded stained glass panel incorporating fused glass sections.Over the first four weeks students will explore a variety of fused glass techniques of their choice to create small panel sections. Techniques include kiln carving, creating texture and transfer collage.The final four weeks will see students create a leaded design incorporating the fused glass panels with traditional stained glass. Tools will be provided. Glass and leaded came will be available to purchase during the course. Specific colours will need to be ordered prior to the course commencing by contacting Claire at: standingonabeach@hotmail.co.uk. Please ensure orders are placed a minimum 10 days prior to the day required. Costs will be confirmed at point of order and payable at the workshop. If students wish to purchase glass direct, Bullseye 3mm fuseable glass is available from www.warm-glass.co.uk. Stained glass can be purchased from a variety of websites such as Creative Glass Guild and Tempsford Glass. SEWING BEE SOCIAL Sewing Bee is a social gathering of people who like to sew, drink tea and blether! New members are welcomed, it’s a great way to pick up new tips, share ideas, and spend an afternoon. THURSDAY I 2 - 4PM £2 PER WEEK
