15 COACHES CERTIFIED FUTSAL LEVEL 1 Footy Force Futsal Academy (FFFA) has sponsored 15 local coaches to complete their Futsal Level 1 Diploma course, provided by the United Soccer Coaches Association Eurique Wilkin,Technical Director of FFFA, said, “We continue to improve player's skills through futsal. The interest in our futsal program is growing and we have a waiting list for almost every age group, we felt it was vital to not only to increase our coaching staff but to give them a solid foundation in Futsal education. “This is a course that we worked closely with United Soccer Coaches Association to allow us to sponsor which in return the coaches have contributed their time back into the program. We were extremely pleased in the positive response from the people interested. We now have 15 coaches certified and with eight of them under the age of 18.” “The course taught the fundamental concepts of futsal as well as how to run and manage training sessions and games.

Our program then provides these coaches with a platform to put their theoretical knowledge to practical use. “We want to be known as an organization that not only teaches futsal to develop players' technical ability but also develops and creates good people in the community. We are using our coaching education platform for coaches to contribute back into the program at a young age. “The junior coaches have been able to complete their community service hours. In addition, they are also given support to further their education and apply for scholarships. We believe by teaching the game to others it will help them to develop their own understanding of the game as well as work on soft skills, being leaders and role models.”

FOOTY TENNIS LAUNCHED IN DOCKYARD

We hosted Footy Tennis games at Destination Dockyard on Monday nights. Footy Tennis is a game played on a court which is divided by a low height net with two opposing teams. The teams will score a point by hitting the football with any part of their body except the hands and also making it bounce in the opponent's court area in a manner that it makes it almost impossible for the other team to return it over the net. Footy Tennis improves player's touch, movement and anticipation skills.

DIEGO AND ROYAL RUSSELL ARE ISFA SIXES CHAMPIONS

2018

MALACHAI SIGNS FOR FULHAM FC Malachai Belboda is officially a Fulham FC u12 player.

Diego Richardson had recently began his studies at the Royal Russell School in January 2018 and is also a vital defender in their 1st XI u18 football team. Diego and his Royal Russell teammates played in an excellent final game against Hampton School but it was Royal Russell who scored the only goal to claim their third straight Complete Sports Solutions ISFA Sixes title, the first team to ever win three in a row in the competition's history.

@malachai11: It’s official!!! I signed a new contract with @fulhamfc. It’s been a whirlwind of fun and intensity training with other clubs and making friends at these clubs but in the end out of all of them, I felt FFC was the best fit for me. I’m sad to move on and leave @cpfc but it was time. This move is a great opportunity for me and my future. I’m excited to start my new journey with Fulham FC

FOOTY TIP: Players MUST develop a feel for the ball. Feel means touch, and a fine touch requires a player to be comfortable touching the ball with all parts of the foot. Players must practice controlling balls on the ground as well as balls out of the air. Remember, that good control is the ability to take the ball with one touch in such a way that you can play the ball with your next movement without having to chase or reach for it. The ability to control the ball with the feet is a basic element of football. A good touch is very instinctive to some players, but harder for others. Whatever your level is, practice will always help improve your first touch on the ball - https://www.soccerxpert.com

Footy Promotions President - Vinzie Zuill is now an FA Registered Intermediary Vinzie Zuill is registered with the English FA under the Intermediary Number: IMS003305. She becomes the first Bermudian female registered intermediary. Vinzie Zuill says, “FIFA had introduced new regulations in 2015, in which they replaced FIFA player's agents with FA registered intermediaries. Given this, intermediaries are now required to register with a national association in the region that they are conducting activity on behalf of players and clubs. I am now in a great position to further assist players from Bermuda with trials, contract negotiations, marketing etc. in the United Kingdom.” “Over the years, Footy Promotions has specialized in player development and placement. We have provided opportunities to Bermudian players by hosting the UK trials company and bringing representatives from top UK clubs to evaluate and train players. All the players that have benefited from these opportunities have performed and represented Bermuda well. In working with these players, we outsourced our intermediary services so now I have taken that role on to support Bermudians, manage their careers and work in their best interest.” “In addition to my intermediary license, I have also taken a course in talent identification. This course will help me to identify talent and provide players with the guidance needed to take their

game to the next level and prepare for opportunities. Players will continue to be monitored through our Futsal programs (5-15 years old), Footy STAR programs (10-19 years old) and player development events directed by Eurique Wilkin. In an effort to reduce initial cost by sending players overseas, club scouts from Europe will regularly be on the island to see the talent here in Bermuda.”
