PRAYER OF CONFESSION Merciful God, we confess that we do not love each other as you love us. You love us uncondi-onally, but we easily become resen.ul. You love us perfectly, but we are overcome by anger. You love us eternally, but we forget promises and commitments. Renew our love for one another by your love for us and inspire us to see others the way you see them.

Supporting our Local Mission Partners The Lord’s Pantry & Front Door Ministry Please continue to support our mission partners throughout the year.

On Sundays bring non-perishable food items for the Lord’s Pantry: canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, tuna, rice, dry cereal, baby food and formula. Front Door Ministry is in constant need of hygiene items: soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant.

There is always a great need for men’s athletic socks.

PASTORAL CARE At Foothill, we offer pastoral care to our guests and members through the Deacons.

A Note on Applause and Worship in the Reformed Tradition Among Presbyterians and other Protestants in the Reformed or Calvinist tradition, it is common to refrain from applause during worship, except when children are involved.

In the context of Reformed worship, a lack of applause does not signify a lack of appreciation. Rather, it is a way of acknowledging that music and other artistic expressions in worship are not performed as entertainment but as offerings of praise to God.
