OVERVIEW

o Football Foundation multi-sport launch event took place on 24th August at Gunnersbury Sports Hub.

o Highlighted the Premier League, The FA and the government’s commitment to multi-sport as well as launched PitchPower 2.0 and the additional multi-sport funding.

o Media invited and key stakeholders attended.

o Content captured at the event being used to amplify our multi-sport message.

OBJECTIVES

Media objectives:

o Achieve coverage of the campaign across a spread of national, regional, trade print and broadcast media

o To ensure all coverage features mentions of Football Foundation funding partners the Premier League, The FA and Government (DCMS)

o To ensure all coverage features links or calls to action to visit the Multi-sport landing page and PitchPower

o Increase awareness and use of PitchPower as an easy to use and effective tool to improve grass pitches across the county for Football, Cricket and Rugby

Content and Digital objectives:

o Capture a large volume of content to use in various campaigns throughout the calendar year

o Awareness: create a suite of assets for Football Foundation, Funding Partner and NGB channels that would drive awareness of the multi sport commitment, including launch of PitchPower, across digital channels for the event launch and to amplify the campaign year round

o Engagement: ensure content is engaging and encourages users to both click through to campaign page on website for more information/sign up to PitchPower and share with their own audiences

Conversations started in October 2021 around the multisport launch, following the Government’s £155m funding commitment

Funding Partners and NGBs informed about campaign launch and kept regularly updated
