In een multiculturele stad hebben acht vreemdelingen één ding gemeenschappelijk: zij voelen zich opgesloten in hun eigen stad en in hun leven. Een sprankeltje hoop ontstaat wanneer een ontsnapte zebra losloopt in de stad. De acht vreemdelingen worden allen onbewust verleid om deze zebra te vangen. In a city with a cultural mix of nationalities, age and gender, eight complete strangers all have one thing in common: they feel trapped in their own city and in their own lives. A sprinkle of hope enters when an escaped zebra runs free in the city. The eight strangers are all subconsciously enticed to catch this zebra. Wanneer ze onderling met elkaar in contact komen moet er niet op empathie worden gerekend. Geen wonder dat onze samenleving een artificieel, koud uiterlijk krijgt. In ten tableaux vivants we see people struggling with themselves and with their position in our society. When they encounter each other, things are bound to get out of hand. No wonder that our society has an artificial, cold appearance.
